Re: Nintendo Download: 28th February (North America)

So much crap coming out every week it's unreal.

I can't believe that 2 years on from the Switch's release, the eshop is still displaying the most recent releases without showcasing the wealth of what the eshop really has to offer.

I can't believe there's no 'editors choice' section or 'critically acclaimed', or sections dedicated to popular developers etc.

Ape Out got a 9 out of 10 on here today, but it's visibility will be gone this time next week.

Two of my friends have recently bought a Switch only to sell them within a couple of weeks because they couldn't find anything decent on the eshop.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Revealed For Nintendo Switch, New Starters Shown

As a long time fan and player of this series since the days of red and blue, this has to be the most underwhelming generation yet.

Thank god it says not final graphics because those backgrounds are hideous. Random encounters should never be used again. This was their opportunity to truly change up the system.

It needed Yo Kai 4/ Ni No Kuni 2 style graphics, a BOTW style open world, with monsters wandering around the planes in herds or alone Xenoblade 2 style, being able to selectively choose your battles as you see fit.

I can't believe they are still going to use a linear game patch using routes with walls either side. Huge let down to say the least.

Re: Dead Cells Is Getting A 'Huge' Free DLC Pack Soon

@Amrulez the first thing that appeals to me is the hand drawn animation, everything runs so smoothly and while the screen can become chaotic it's easy to navigate the battles compared to dead cells. The bosses are fantastic, the story is great with out being obtrusive, the antagonist is fascinating, the abilities are great although not groundbreaking. And i love the fact there are 2 different sets of abilities that you have the choice of choosing, with a different ending and last boss for each. You can go one of 3 different routes depending on your choices. I started a second playthrough immediately after completing it for the first time as I just wasn't ready to quit playing, and that was after it took me 12 hours the first time around.

Re: Hands On: Getting Arty In Yoshi's Crafted World On Nintendo Switch

Perfect for my 5 year old, not for me unfortunately. It's just too slow. Yoshi's Isand was perfect. If it was a faster paced and slightly more frantic then great. It is what it is though, I'd say the demographic is young kids and casual female gamers. I know both of my sisters are looking forward to it and neither would consider themselves 'gamers'.

Re: Review: Sundered: Eldritch Edition - An Enjoyable But Challenging Take On The Metroidvania Format

Finished my first play through last night. Incredible game. It's hard as nails but death is always something to look forward to as you know you'll get the chance to make you character stronger, meaning that room you couldn't clear last time should be a breeze the next. The new abilities are always a lovely surprise and make traversing the landscapes so entertaining. The graphics and boss fights are some of the best in gaming, the story is great while not being overwhelming... Fully expected to go back to Hollow Knight after this but I think I might play it a second time to get the different ending. Can't wait to jump back in.

Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Is Coming To Nintendo Switch As A Console Exclusive

@brunojenso Once I'm done with Sundered Eldrich Edition I'll definitely be starting it again (definitely check that out if you like Metroidvanias with unique art styles, £3.50 right now on Russian eshop, £15 over here!).

Quick question on HK. The expansions... Are they simply implemented into the game or do they unlock after completing the main game? Not sure how I would know if what I am exploring is DLC or just part of the main game...

Re: Team Cherry Teases Hollow Knight Hornet DLC Reveal Coming Later This Week

Played for so so long and then just got to a point where I had no idea where to go to advance. There were doors on the map that I hand't gone through yet but had absolutely no idea how to get to them. After trawling around for another couple of hours I fell out of favour with it and moved on to something else.

Once I'm done with Sundered I'll probably go back to it and start over.

Re: More Than 1,800 Games Have Now Been Released On The Nintendo Switch

Exciter89

@Spudtendo I'd say not even a 3rd of it's way through. I sincerely hope it does a 3DS and is around for the best part of 7-8 years. I have absolutely no qualms in not having a console with similar power to PS5 or the next Xbox. Sure we might not get as many 3rd party releases since they'll not doubt rather utilise next gen power, but as long as Nintendo continues to put out stellar 1st party title and good quality indies continue to flow at a steady pace, I'll gladly support it until the end.

Re: Launch Weekend Sales Of Wargroove Have Already Covered Development Costs

@Zimon the one thing that puts me off these games is that sometimes there is only one sequence of moves that works to defeat a map.

I remember in Advance Wars Dual Strike there was a level that no matter what you did the enemy would move in the exact same way. This led to countless trial and errors and ended up feeling more like a puzzle game than a strategy game.

Hope this isn't the case here.
