I’ve read so many good things about these games, but I just don’t feel the look and vibe of them enough to give em a chance .. I’m sure I’d be a quick convert as soon as I started playing tho ha
@neogyo I completed steamworld dig 1and 2 and they was amazing. Also got Heist which is equally an amazing game. I wasnt expecting to like either.
I would love to get Steamworld Quest as it's the only one I need at this point, but I have to be strong and wait until i have a nest of extra funds first, especially now that I have to chip at my Animal Crossing switch deposit. Don't worry, I'll add you to the collection...eventually.
@neogyo At this price I would definitely recommend checking out Dig 1 and/or Heist. They were some of my favourites on the 3DS, well, they still are, it's just that I just don't use my 3DS anymore.
@neogyo at that price, Dig 1 is worth a shot, I loved it on Wii U, hopefully you will too.
Already got the awesome dig games but didn't have quest on switch so bought that - looking forward to playing through again.
Great sale.
Considering Steamworld Dig 2's retail version is sold out and therefore quite expensive I might get it digital at this price.
@neogyo if anything atleast aim for heist its different then all the others with a more diverce approach atleast variety wise.
@Kidfunkadelic83 completed Dig 2, is 1 worth playing or have I seen all the series has to offer?
Heist ended up being one of my favourite games of all time, and I don't like turn based games.
So off of the back of that I bought Quest. Only played about 45 minutes of it but seems decent.
all brilliant games
Heist has got to be one of my favourite ever games. Got it on Wii u and 3ds and I'm still tempted to get it on switch!! Both the digs are excellent. As for quest, I just couldn't get on with it, not for me. My two dream games on switch are a heist sequel and a port of xcom 1+2.
Have to agree, I love Heist. Didn’t get in that well with Dig 2 but love the art style. But Heist did it for me
@Scottwood101 more of the same really. If you likeked 2 that much you will defenately like 1. Especially for that price.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Are the abilities totally different? Intriguing story?
To be completely honest I cant really remember. It's very similar in its gameplay and the idea of it but I'm guessing there were different abilities. I completed 2 before 1 tho so it couldnt have been that bad.
@DockEllisD I dont think I've ever seen the Steamworld games NOT on sale on at least one platform.
I'll probably not buy Quest (the only one I dont have) in this sale since I dont have time, but when I do I wont consider paying full price since they're probably all going to be on sale again within a few weeks of that.
Heist is in my top 10 games of all time. It is phenomenal.
I'm a total fan of Dig, Dig 2 and Heist. For now, the asking price for Quest is a turn off to me. Quest seems to have way less charm than its predecessors. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Same as others. Great deals. Great games. However, I am waiting for a deeper discount on Quest.
Quest was decent but it came out around the same time as Slay the Spire which was far superior so I gave up on it.
Steamworld Dig 2 and Steam World Heist and both amazing though.
I wouldn't bother with Dig 1
Both Dig games and Heist is a steal at those prices! Heist is one of my all time favourite indie games! Image&Form, we want a sequel!
AMAZING games. Heist for $4.99 is an absolute STEAL (get it?).
But seriously, these are amazing sales. I have them all except for gilgamesh. Definitely worth these prices
@Smashfan502 I've got several consoles I don't use (anymore). I keep them around because at one point, I might use them once more. I haven't used my Vita in like 4 years I guess, but still plan to some day boot it up and play Freedom Wars and Gungnir for instance. Might be tomorrow, might be 10 years from now
As far as my 3DS goes, I still want to at least play SMTIV:A some day, not to mention all games on the system, I want to keep around if I ever feel an itch to replay them and the 3DS had a couple of likely candidates I think ^^
In fact and just by chance, I actually hooked my 360 back up the other day after .... I don't know how many years, probably like five or so, to install Operation Darkness
Everyone who likes platform games should download Dig 2.
@neogyo
Dude.....please use one of these sales to pick up the S_World games. The look and vibe is part of what makes them so great....Dig1 and 2 are platform metrovania games....1 is soooo short (4-5hr) but it so cool it whet the apatite for more. SWD2 is straight up a masterpiece in the MVania genre. I bought each of those games on multiple platforms. Heist is just something soo different, keeps the same steampunk space western vibe, but the gameplay is quite different from almost anything ever made. It is a turn based SRPG but plays out in 2D platform maps. That was one of my favorite 3DS games and with the DLC (included with Switch version) you can get 30hrs+ out of a play thru. The newest game is a card RPG. Its a different sort of beast in that it reminds me a bit of Baten Katos where your not playing a card game (like magic) but you are using cards for the attacks/defenses/buffs in battle. It is still a solid game but as ratings suggest more a 80% game where Dig2 and Heist are 90% quality games.....so please take the dive as you will not be let down (unless you just hate the genres).
@Smashfan502 Hadn't thought about that, but I guess so
Jokes aside, it's one of the few 360 exclusives remaining, I still aim to play and that are not available on X1 by now.
@QuickSilver88
@edgedino
@SquareOneMJ
@Ralek85
@Kidfunkadelic83
Thanks for your encouragement yall! I went ahead and got Heist:) Gonna be in the backlog for a while but I look forward to digging into it in the futro.
@neogyo can't wait for you to encounter 1 specific miniboss and you'll know him when you keep asking why is this a boss in this game and why can't I beat him.
@edgedino haha ok I guess I’m looking forward to that!?
@neogyo hope you enjoy it
