Luckily I got selected for the Switch 2 Experience in Amsterdam!

When I registered, I thought it would be easy to attend but I’m seeing A LOT of reactions of people who unfortunately are missing out.
So, I’m grateful I got selected. I knew it’d be a popular event, but we don’t know much at all at this point. How many people were even selected?

Only one small complaint is that it’s on May 11th. All the other Experience Events are way earlier.
So, by then we already know much more about the system and the surprise effect is a bit gone.
But that’s also a positive thing! Knowledge is power. Hopefully there are some goooood games to play!

@romanista Very true. I think Nintendonl is very passive compared to other regions. Also on socials. But that’s a different discussion.
I have no idea how many people can attend but I’m happy I’m selected because now it seems like it wasn’t that obvious after all.

I’m only a bit disappointed that’s it’s on May 11th so much of the surprise has already been spoiled by then. But hey, I’m still excited I’m selected. Going to have a great experience hopefully!

@OorWullie It’s one of my favorite games on the Switch.
It has so much potential for a series. It did sell good enough if I recall correctly.

At that time I just got back into gaming again. Got myself a Wii U a couple of months before just to play Twilight Princess HD and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Didn’t get any info about this event at the time. But ended up buying Breath of the Wild for the Wii U at launch 🤣
Still great times.
Got myself a Switch in 2018.
And BotW not long after.

I basically like all things Zelda related but if it IS the rumoured OLED I’d skip it because I prefer my Splatoon 3 edition.
But that’s a matter of preference of course.

@Ooccoo_Jr the Artbook that came with the Astral Chain Collector’s Edition started with a page with a warning that there were some spoilers ahead. Which indeed may seem a bit obvious but I also hadn’t thought of that when I ordered the CE.
I didn’t look until I finished the game.

I’m totally back into Xenoblade Chronicles 3 again.
About 40 hours in on chapter 4 right now.
I was worried about all the sidequests taking too much time as I wanted to focus on the main story but now I can’t stop doing all the sidequests anymore.

Did they forgot about Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

@Dev9417 I was kinda bummed we (team water) had to defend the tri-color again, but I actually won a few tri-color battles this time around! Even managed to not get splatted at all in one of those games which is… mindblowing because of all of the chaos 😅

I’m playing a lot of Splatoon 3 still.
Mostly Anarchy an maybe a little bit Salmon Run and Story Mode. Might even try out Tableturf Battle. And it’s about time to freshen up my locker.

But I’m sticking with my brand new Splatoon 3 Edition which is significantly prettier. But that’s subjective I guess 😅

Absolutely one of my favorite games on the Switch, hence my avatar.
Once you get the hang of the combat it’s so satisfying pulling off combo’s.
The ost is amazing too.
Really hope a sequel is on its way!

I’ll admit, even if Splatoon 3 had minor changes I’d be hyped. But after that Direct you can’t deny there’s so much stuff you couldn’t simply add in Splatoon 2.

I can’t wait for my most anticipated game of the year as it’ll be my main game for the next couple of years.

Starting chapter 3 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 tonight. Loving it so far!

I actually laughed out loud when Big Man revealed himself in combination with the air horn. That was good stuff!

(There’s another big man in Splatoon 3 though: Murch)

@Bearzilla823 That’s such a shame. My transfer went well with all of my games including Splatoon 2 but except for Breath of the Wild, which I just 100% the month before the OLED released.
Such a bummer.

We‘ve got introduced to Big Man. But we all know who’s the real Big Man now.

I’d say Planet Alpha was a pretty solid platforming/stealth experience in a great atmosphere.
I should play it again on the OLED.

This time I’m trying to use other Legions instead of sticking to the Sword Legion.
Man, I’m pulling off combos I didn’t even know existed 2,5 years ago.
Good stuff.

I can’t stop playing Splatoon 2 but I really want to continue Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
I also want to start a new file of one of my Switch favorites Astral Chain. It’s been a while.

Continuing Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
I just had the cutscene where Rex woke up next to Mythra.
Man, that was great😂
