Re: First 4 Figures Is Working On Banjo-Kazooie And Conker Collectables

ErrantEmbers

@Averigeidiot121 F4F has financing? Oh praise the lord! I genuinely need a Conker figure. I don't care about price, don't care if I have to take out a second mortgage… Conker is one of my favorite games of all time and I have been dying for anything Conker related for so long. Banjo-Kazooie figure would be amazing as well but Conker is priority.

Re: Review: Snow Moto Racing Freedom (Switch)

ErrantEmbers

Nintendo just doesn't get it. This is why we need franchises such as Wave Race, 1080 and F-Zero. This game or Aqua Moto will never encapsulate the fun of Wave Race or 1080, and F-Zero is unmatched in the fast futuristic racer department. I know Nintendo loves to ignore their "lesser" titles but with gaps those franchises leave, we get shoddy wannabe games like this. "Oh you don't need Wave Race, you have Aqua Moto and Snow Moto instead!" Well no these games don't even come close to filling in the voids Nintendo's franchises left.

Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)

ErrantEmbers

Skyrim's age in the game industry is equivalent to 80 human years? Seriously? Games from 6 years ago is not ancient history…

But anyway, I'm getting this day 1 not only because Skyrim is an amazing game (I've already played this game a dozen times on various platforms) but because I love that Bethesda is supporting the Switch and as a fan of both the compamny and the Switch I need to show support. Plus…I mean, Skyrim on the toilet.

Re: Wii U's Failure Is Responsible For Switch's Success, Says Reggie

ErrantEmbers

@GC-161 Those failures are part of why I love Nintendo. I love that they don't "play it safe". PS4 and Xbox already do that. I don't love the Switch because it's just a video game system, I love it because it's a hybrid (and because of the games), but that decision was not a safe one but it's paying off. We need companies like Nintendo who are willing to take chances.

Re: The Nintendo Virtual Boy Could Be Getting New Software

ErrantEmbers

Just...why? There weren't even a million of these produced in total. Hardly anyone has one. Many of them don't work properly. I always wanted a Virtual Boy growing up. I thought it was a cool looking piece of hardware but it is the most dead console in existence. At least if people make a new NES or SNES game, there are a lot of people that still own those.

Re: Review: Beach Buggy Racing (Switch eShop)

ErrantEmbers

Honestly, just because there is already Mario Kart doesn't mean there can't be other kart racers. This is a budget indie title and as such you can't expect it to be as polished or as extensive as Mario Kart. Mario Kart doesn't have a monopoly on kart racing. I like when developers release games in genres that already exist. Not that this is real competition for Mario Kart but competition is good. $10 for a budget kart racer does not sound like a bad time. I may check it out!

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Direct?

ErrantEmbers

Octopath Traveler, Mario Odyssey and Doom! Odyssey looks amazing, the demo of Octopath is fantastic, and Doom...what a surprise! I'm so glad Bethesda is supporting Nintendo! The Direct was pretty good. Nothing really blew me away but it was solid overall. I would have liked more announcements of games we didn't know but again, it was good.

Re: Review: Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS)

ErrantEmbers

For once I will play an entire 3DS game in full 3D. This game sounds incredible. Even as a big fan of Metroid, I thnik this game will be just as great if not better than the best games in the series. I can't believe we are only days away!

Re: Metroid-Themed My Nintendo Rewards Come To North America

ErrantEmbers

@Kayfios Don't let other peoples' negative opinions form your opinion of a game. Play it yourself, you may enjoy it. I avoided Other M for years because of the negativity surrounding it, found it at Target 2 years ago for $10 and figured "why not?" and actually really enjoyed it.

Re: 'Next Gen Nintendo 64 Controller' from Retro Fighters Smashes Kickstarter Target

ErrantEmbers

Just looked into the kickstarter page and while it looks like it could be really cool, the page is very light on information. As several people pointed out, they never state if it's for an actual N64 or for emulation or what. I can only assume it's for an actual N64. Also we have no idea of the quality of the whole thing. Like I said, it looks great on paper but who knows what the finished project will be like. Also the rewards seem a bit light. $20 for a controller seems reasonable. $30 for a controller and poster, $45 for controller, poster, and having your name in an instruction book, and $100 for all that and a t-shirt. I dunno maybe I'm being nitpicky but the whole thing doesn't seem that appealing. And I say this as a HUGE N64 fan. Then again $20 is only $20 and I may just go for it.
