Am I reading this right? They want to continue the Gamepad idea and be able to stream through wifi? Did they really learn nothing the last 4 years? Sorry. 3 1/2 years. People are going see this and think "oh it's an updated Wii U" and pass on it...again, just like they did with Wii U thinking it's just a Gamepad for Wii. I really really hope this information is false.

DS is still one of my all-time favorite systems, and my favorite handheld. So many awesome games. I could name them all but I'd be here all day.

I'm not overly impressed by either one so far but I like Miitomo more than I thought I would, and I like the new My Nintendo system. Neither is groundbreaking but both have the potential to become something special. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store.

Pokemon and Zelda deserve to get in. I'd throw inStreet Fighter II, The Sims, Space Invaders and Final Fantasy too. Minecraft is way too new to be considered for the Hall of Fame. Maybe 15 years from now.

I love the 3DS, it's my favorite video game system since the GameCube. Wii and Wii U may have let me down but 3DS sure has held my interest for the last 5 years and has been my most played system this gen, by far.

@AyeHaley Agreed! For all of its faults Skyward Sword did have a great combat system. For me its easily the best thing about the game.

@Clownshoes You're missing out if you're skipping Woolly World because you didn't like Yoshi's Story. Woolly World is far better than Story. I highly recommend it. I can't defend Story though.

Woah where did this game come from??? Never even heard of it. Looks awesome!! I don't want to get my hopes up but I think I may purchase this. And if it's good I will pray for a phsyical release.

I still think its fake or most a prototype. But assuming its real, I'm not a fan. I won't go and say I won't get one for sure but the whole no buttons thing would kill any hype I had for it. Being open minded I would still wait and try it in person before I make any absolute judgements. I'm worried this is real and I won't like it. Hopefully I could be convinced to get it after trying it.

A good surprise would be if they made RE7 and it was actually good and on a Nintendo console.

I want a Mega Man 11 and Mega Man X9. Doesn't have to be old school styled but please keep them 2D, not like X7 and X8.

It's gotta be fake. At most it's a prototype and not the final design. If by some tiny chance it is real then I'm done with Nintendo.

Am I the only one who feels like this new loyalty program is the exact same thing as the old one, but instead of a focus on physical games and entering code in to get points, it works only on digital games. I never buy digital games except for virtual console stuff, so this new loyalty program is very disappointing. If they want to reward real loyalty then I should be rewarded for my 28 years of being a Nintendo fan

Indies do what Nintendon't. First we get a pseudo-F-Zero type game now a pseudo-Wave Race, what next, a pseudo-Pilotwings? A pseudo- 1080? I mean I'm not complaining, but it makes me wish Nintendo would man up and do it themselves.

No thanks! I doubt this is what they're working on anyway. They've come out and said they tried experimenting with VR lately but it's just not fun. I doubt Nintendo would invest in technology they didn't think was fun. I have literally zero interest in VR anyway.

Just played this gem exactly 1 year ago to the day for the first time and I absolutely loved it. I have no idea why I put off playing this game so long. Played Gargoyle's Quest 1 & 2 shortly before that, also great gems!

@Jamotello Super Mario All-Stars was a remake of Mario 1,2,3. Yeah they got started early on remakes!

I'd really love to play these old Fire Emblems as a huge SNES fan and a new Fire Emblem fan. I never liked the series until Awakening and now Fates but I definitely want to go revisit some older ones and ones I never played.

My favorite game of all time and one I've been waiting for what seems like forever to come to a portable.

First thing I noticed is the guy looks like Kyle Hyde. I really hope this is "Hotel Dusk 3" I loved the 2 DS games!

Mario RPG, Paper Mario, Mario Kart. Though Paper Mario has been kinda losing my interest as a series.

I don't care if I have to pay for the same games over and over because I get far more enjoyment out of an $8 Super Mario World than I do a $60 new Wii U game.

CBFD is one of my all time favorite games. Too bad Microsoft and current Rare pretty much destroyed him along with Banjo, Perfect Dark and Jet Force Gemini. RIP Rareware.

I'm not a huge Star Fox fan but I am looking forward to this game. That intro was very...meh. I don't mind them recycling the same story as SF64 (which recycled the story from SF on SNES) as long as the gameplay is good I'm happy. I don't have high hopes for the game though I think it will be fun.

I thought it was great. SNES on 3DS was the best part as I am a huge fan of the console. New Kirby and Paper Mario look fun too. Star Fox Zero finally coming out and looks great!

I'd definitely buy the SFC 3DS but I'd much prefer an American SNES themed 3DS since that's what I own. Still awesome though!

I will buy all of them because I love SNES and I have been waiting a very long time to get quality ports on a handheld!

@jeb_leeds No you cannot map the controls. The controls are identical to the SNES versions.

Pretty happy with the Direct! Star Fox Zero, for the first time, actually looks great. Prior to yesterday I was very much on the fence about it but now it looks like it will be a day 1 purchase! Paper Mario Color Splash looks fun, not quite the Paper Mario I was hoping for, but I think I'll get it and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Super Nintendo games on 3DS was the highlight, especially since EarthBound is my #1 game of all time and finally I can play it on a portable! And a new Kirby game I wasn't expecting and I always love Kirby games so this is a bonus! Even Metroid Prime Federation Force looks pretty good. Overall a very good Direct!

I am absolutely ecstatic at this news! I practically cried tears of joy when I heard it. SNES games on 3DS is a dream come true! And EarthBound being one of them... Wow. Seriously happy today!! I've wanted a portable EarthBound for 21 years and I finally got my wish!!!

@TheRetroGamer Get either OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire or X/Y. If you've never played one I think X&Y is a better intro to the series, so that gets my vote, but if you can't find that, because I believe it's out of print, Omega or Alpha are amazing as well and easy to get into.

Nintendo's "core" audience never left Nintendo. Unless by "core" they mean "people who bought a Wii or DS and played it for 5 minutes and then throwing it in a drawer for the rest of eternity but didn't buy a Wii U or 3DS" then yeah sure.

Not gonna lie. Looks pretty awesome. I really hope this gets a physical release on Wii U. If not, I'll still play it. I miss the Castlevania series. Its' been 8 years since the last 2D Castlevania

Well March is already looking better than January and February!

Twilight Princess wasn't my favorite Zelda . In fact I barely even remember it. I played it on Wii nearly 10 years ago, and haven't played it since. I'm looking forward to revisiting it and seeing how much I remember.
