Anyone who thinks Nintendo doesn't need 3rd party companies to succeed is just lying to themselves. Yes most of us buy Nintendo systems primarily for Nintendo first party games but sometiems it's not enough and we want games and franchises from other companies. Where would Nintendo be today is NES and SNES never had the stellar first party support it got? Probably bankrupt.

@Dakt I've seen slower. Remember pre-Switch 2016 days? Yeah. Brutal.

Ideally I want Mario World, Kart, RPG, Yoshi's Island, DKC1-3 and EarthBound. If I can have those it would be perfect to me. Crazy thing is I own basically every SNES game that they could even possibly put on there, but it would be nice to have them on a SNES Mini too.

You know what the NES Classic fiasco inspired me to do? Get an actual NES and collect old games, thus creating less funds to spend on new games. Way to go Nintendo. I'll give eBayers my money instead of you. That's a lie. I love the Switch and I love you Nintendo. Please never leave me.

@cfgk24 I agree. The only disappointment I feel is not having enough time to play all the games coming this summer!

They should stop with the Wii U stuff already. It's Switch time. These "rewards" get more and more pathetic each month.

I don't know why every Direct people have to be mad, upset or disappointed. I thought the Direct was great. ARMS looks great, Splatoon 2 looks great, a lot of the other games they showed looks great, It's not like I'm going to be buying all of them but I'm glad they're still showing new things for 3DS which I kind of thought was a dead system.

I'll be getting both. I enjoyed Splatoon so I see no reason why I wouldn't enjoy the sequel. Arms looks interesting but I want to know more about it. I'm buying it regardless because it looks fun and there aren't many other Switch games right now.

@Skunkfish They didn't say "Pikmin 4 for Wii U" but I'm willing to bet that it was being developed for Wii U only to be moved over to Switch. But last I heard about the game - nearly 2 years ago - they said it was "nearing completion". Hmm well what the hell happened with it? How was it "nearing completion" in 2015 but in 2017 we still know nothing about it?

@BLP_Software I love the "Wii U in a fire" update to the Hype Train! What a disappointing console.

But man finally a Direct! Cannot wait! Switch is such an amazing console. I can't get enough of it.

Fatal Frame as long as we got a physical​ release this time. Otherwise DKC:TF, Pikmin 3, and Smash Bros. I kinda want then to give me a reason to sell my Wii U as I'm only hanging onto it for those 3 games and Yoshi's Woolly World.

I'm not getting my hopes up, honestly. I hope they put out something awesome even if it is a port of a pre-existing game. They used to be my absolute favorite company but they have not made some really great gmaes in a very long time IMO.

I feel bad for the people arguing back and forth over some YouTuber being removed and how "bad" this rap is. This rap is supposed to be bad, that's the point. I sure as hell am not letting any silly political discussion get in the way of my enjoyment of this game. I think it looks awesome!

@NEStalgia That's true he did do the soundtrack. That's probably part of it, but I dunno I think maybe it's the structure of the levels and the goofy look of the snake and bird. It just seems to have a Rareware style to it.

@RedMageLanakyn Same here. After dozens of attempts to get one, I give up. This time I actually got to add one to my cart and maket to the screen before entering my payment info. It got stuck on that, it kept reloading for a half hour and then ended up giving me an error. Nearly 6 months after release people STILL can't get an NES Classic. This is unacceptable.

This makes me appreciate being an adult and being able to buy my own things more. But hey we've all been there. I had to wait 5 years to get a SNES after it came out.

This game is awesome. I downloaded it last night. Does it remind anyone else of N64-era Rareware? Like it feels like something they would've come up with. Which is a very good thing. Only downside IMO is I wish it wasn't digital only... But still fantastic game!

Preordered on PS4 because I want to play it asap. Super excited for this one!

I'm extremely happy with the Switch... the most pleased I've been with a new console since the GameCube. And I loved the Cube! Not to mention Zelda is one of the best games I've ever played and the first game in over 10 years to truly blow away my lofty expectations.

I don't hate Reggie but I hate his position. He's just a pawn of Nintendo and never seems to offer any useful information.
Us: "Hey Reggie will we see Metroid on Switch?"
Reggie: "We'll see"
Us: "Hey Reggie will we see Mother 3 on Switch?"
Reggie: "We'll see"
Us: "Hey Reggie how bout Cloud Services on Switch?"

I wish they would stop making half assed Mario Sports titles. Seriously just don't bother if you going cut all the features that make the games fun.

I'm starting to feel like a crazy person for being someone who has no complaints about the Switch at all.

I'm both happy and surprised that the Switch sold incredibly well at launch. I am in love with the system - one of my favorites ever so far. I didn't think it would catch on as well as it did but I'm glad it did well even if it is just at launch so far. Also Zelda is a masterpiece so I'm glad that did well too. I think things are really looking up for Nintendo once again!

I love it! I was super excited for it and both Switch and Zelda have met expectations!

I'd rather have SNES, hands down. But being that I already have one, I'll take the Switch.

Bought it along with Zelda. Can't wait to play it!

@Pazuzu666 I've read from a few places online that the day 1 patch fixes the joycon desync problem.

Just like a lot of people say.... should've been a pack-in game. Nintendo can argue against the fact that Switch didn't come with a pack-in to "keep the price down" but so what? You give them a game for free, or hell, lower the price of the game. I've said from the beginning it looks like a budget tech demo, not a full game. And you can't even play it alone.

I think it's pretty pathetic that they made such a big deal out of giving Club Nintendo the axe and swearing that this new program was going to be a lot better, only to find out it's actually much worse. I don't even bother with it anymore. Discounts on digital games? Really? That's the best you can do? I mean I don't want to sound entitled but the physical rewards were awesome. If you're going to do a rewards program at least put some effort into it, Nintendo.

I have not been this pumped for a new Zelda since Wind Waker. I'm not surprised by the perfect scores at all. Clearly it deserves them. Tomorrow can't come soon enough!

@UK-Nintendo Yes the Xbox One is still supported. My comment was in wonderment that the Xbox is selling ridiculously low. How a dead console (Wii U) is selling at the same level of a console that is active.

I think it's pretty funny how Xbox One (an ACTIVE platform) is just barely squeaking by Wii U (a console that's been dead for months) in terms of hardware sales in Japan.

I was on the fence about buying this since I have no one to play it with, but after FINALLY seeing a single player mode confirmed I think I'll be buying this!

@MagicEmperor I loved DuckTales Remastered and hoped they were going to do more remasters but nothing yet. But I'd simply take all the Disney NES and SNES games as ports in a collection. Some of my absolute favorites games. Rescue Rangers on NES and Aladdin on SNES are favorites in particular.

Woah this is almost enough to get me to keep my Wii U out. I might have to check this out!

That'd be cool but I stopped buying amiibos because they do almost nothing interesting and they take up too much room. I love the look of them, and if I were like 15 years younger I'd probably try to collect them all. But as an adult in his 30s with other priorities these will just sit on a shelf and take up room. Plus the money I'd spend on them is money I could buy games with.
