this game looks absolutely great, won't be able to pick it up day one unfortunately due to the price though as soon as i can i'll absolutely be grabbing a copy

wonder if we'll get more than the usual 400 from S/V and Sw/Sh given the extra 2 years of dev time and the fact we're on the switch 2 now

i really love how the gen 9 boxes look like the scarlet and violet book, it's relevant to the story which is a nice little design detail the others don't have

ended up playing a whole bunch this year but the biggest surprise for me was hollow knight, after playing for 10 hours in 2018 i dropped it and decided to try it again this year and fell in love w it, the other two of my top picks are. pretty expected, pokemon and mario kart, still very glad i got to play hollow knight at least, still got the dlc to beat too so i may go back one day

i've been looking forward to starting a new farm as i haven't really played much of the 1.5 or 1.6 updates, will probably try it when this drops !!

i had a dream about this game last night, no idea it was turning 20 today, it's my absolute favourite in the series though i adore the environments, time travel gimmick and spritework too, it's a treat

it feels so strange and refreshing to just see a game that is so full and packed with content in this day and age, it's a little sad to say that but i am very much looking forward to release!!

i really recommend looking into the beta footage of this which came from the giga leak, the game looks so much better it's actually baffling how much of a downgrade it is

the same goes for me, order got completed on friday, so now it's just a matter of waiting until thursday for them to bring it

yakuza 0 is a super good game that takes an absolutely long time to complete, i beat it a couple of years ago and the amount of side content is staggering but totally worth it, the juxtaposition of going from an uber serious story scene to majima singing about being an idol is incredible i love its absurdity

i really want the umbrella, probably the least enticing item out of the bunch i just think its neat

it's not going to be very exciting here, i'm just going out on a stroll in the morning, waiting in for my package and then probably playing deltarune until my friends want to play mario kart with me, been waiting nearly 4 years for chapters 3 and 4 i cannot wait

i absolutely love how the box art looks here, it's super pretty. really glad to see the legends game getting their own unique box art with each entry, it's a treat

conflicted on whether or not to cancel my bundle order from nintendo now and go to this (i went in store and ordered for collection on april 4th), system i got wasn't the bundle, though i have already paid £20 off of it,

any advice??

the mario kart world bundle on the UK's nintendo store is sold out now, i suspect the standard system won't be up for much longer for anyone still wanting it!!

i managed to secure one a few days after the direct from smyths toys here in the UK, however with how readily available it's been on my nintendo store, I've instead snagged the bundle plus a carrying case, which i was able to do with both no issue at all and without having to rush (i did it last night), it's been, strangely easy to get one

honestly the eshop was red a bunch already from when they branded it with mario decorations this isnt too big of a change really, its kinda obvious in hindsight

@Friendly according to those who have used it, it's been touted as the best controller that they've used, specifically with the sticks and how smooth they are, it also weighs less, takes less time to charge (3.5 hours instead of 6.5) and is a little bit smaller

as much as i'd love the pro-controller on day one, the price of everything is already just too expensive so it's going to be deltarune, the console and mario kart world for me and nothing more

got mine in the UK via smyths quite literally by just walking in and paying a £20 deposit, was not stressful at all

A Year of Springs

A super sweet set of three short visual novels connecting one story together with a focus on LGBTQ topics (specifically transgender people), the artstyle is positively lovely and the music is especially pleasing.

i've picked up antonblast again, a super fun romp which is an absolute joy to rush through and a few mario kart 8 deluxe matches too, i want to finally go back to mario and luigi though that depends if i have the time with it being easter tomorrow.

@timp29 way back in 2017 when Alex did this thing, Triforce would hold his spot while he went to the toilet and then he'd take his place back in line,

they essentially are "queuing" the line, before the official one starts up in june, just staying outside the store from open till close every day, for 2 months. he has a crew to support him so i assume they'll be filling in Triforce's role here

oh absolutely, i'm hoping we get some clarity eventually even if it's just a small thing on nintendo today given they're going for one piece of switch 2 news a day until launch

my speculation on this mainly comes from the fact that the file itself compared to the switch 1 version seems to be smaller than it by around 100mb or so, which strikes me as it being on the switch 2 cart with the new content included

i feel like given the switch 2 branding on the box itself, to open it and then see a base switch cartridge would be a little counterintutive, not false advertising as the game still comes with the switch 2 code but still, jarring to say the least

@Enigk switch 2 carts with the upgrade on the cart, file size for the game revealed this with it being smaller than the switch 1 version

usually, from experience prices drop on the day the game itself comes out, its normally only by £5-£10 but a drop is still a drop and from there they just get cheaper and cheaper

smyths has physical copies available in stores and online, exact same price as game though

managed to get mine via an instore pre-order at smyths this morning, currys is also doing the same currently
