Shame, was a big fan of their work and was nice to see games at 4K60, not being bound by the limitations of my OLED Switch.

This is a warning that really USA or the EU are terrible for community projects as they always shill the multinational corporations. Best is to develop from places like Russia, where they would laugh at Nintendo if they tried anything.

This series has been a hit or miss. Original and the spin off were great. LiS 2 was dog poo and True Colours was great again.

Just removing the obnoxious DOF really opens the experience and with some standard overclocking my game has been 99% stable 60fps.

Demo was a bit rough. Especially the resolution was meh.

Heavily needs OC. With 1.5GHz on the CPU, 990MHz GPU and 2131MHz on the RAM, I am able to get 60fps across the board, with some dips here and there. You could go even further and basically do a locked 60...but that territory is starting to become a bit dangerous for the battery.

Stock Switch version is indeed bad and I do not recommend it, even if you tolerate stable 30fps, because it is not.

Most likely legit. I’m certain the folks at DF have had it in hand recently, their way to put that tweet out just reinforces that this is, indeed, The Switch 2.

Good new for y’all with “unconditional Switch units”. It’s unlocked frame rate and with some OC 60fps is very achievable!

It's UE5 so a 60fps mode is rather likely to happen. Of course, for that you need an enchanted Switch.

I know guys that have deep sources (not your casual rom sites) and as of today, no one has access to a .nsp copy.

Been hoping to get a Retroid but for emulation nothing works better than OLED(outside CRT but yeah...), so I only played those titles on my Switch OLED.
Now though, seems like I'll dip on this one if it can do all of PS2 and GC at full speed 2x at least.

Man, was not expecting a lot, but this looks way deeper than I thought. Seems like they are expanding on the Link's Awakening formula rather drastically. Insta buy.

Let’s say I have an “enchanted” Switch that can be overclocked so didn’t encounter a single drop.

Had a 3 hour session yesterday. That for me is extremely rare these days. Very polished in all aspects.

I just couldn’t deal with how tiny everything was. Playing on handheld it was just not enjoyable.

Just finished it. It’s ok. The image quality is rather decent on the small display and perfomance seems to be decent 30fps, but saw some big drops when heavy particle effects were on screen.

Also tried it on PC where I’m going to get it. The art style benefits a lot from high fidelity visuals and 60fps+ is hard to leave.

Now that’s a weak month. Luckily September is looking a much better.

WW1 setting clearly marketed and this writer puts “not scary” as a downside. It’s survival horror as in the mechanics and what encompasses that genre

On my behalf, it’s Hogwarts Legacy…but with heavy GPU overclock and only in handheld. Stays very close to 720p and looks bonkers.
Without OC it’s blurry and ugly. But yeah, for a stock Switch it’s either LM3 or Metroid Prime R, but I’ll go with the latter as it’s 60fps.

When Nintendo uses the red font with the ''Nintendo'' in white in the centre it always indicates a first party AAA. Now, it could be developed by other studio but man, something is too fishy about this one. If Nintendo were to create an in-house survival horror I would pass out of the hype as it's my favourite game genre.

And it makes sense now more then ever, the genre hasn't been this popular since the late 90's and early 00's.

The fact almost 50% of ALL Switch owners have this game is something incomprehensive.

Steal means to remove an object from someone. Here, you are not removing the object, merely making a copy of said thing, but the products integrity stays intact. You can steal a car, not a digital IP. Now, you migth see me as a technical bish but hey, just want you to get the idea.

The iPhone 15 Pro struggles pretty hard with RE4 or Village, and that device vastly outperforms a Switch. Switch successor? I do hope so.

Seeing them side by side, the differences are rather significant. Now, this still doesn't justify the price like it does on Metroid Prime, but at 40 bucks it starts to make sense. So that's what I am going to do.

They could definitely do 60fps, but then it wouldn't have antialiasing and be under 1080p/720p. For a game of this gameplay and nature, I really don't mind the 60fps as you get pristine image quality on handheld, especially on OLED. Absolutely agree with you on the price matter though.

It is a weak system. Hell, the hardware came in 2015. Now, do I think Prime 4 looks good relative to the hardware?
Yeah sure...but we really need a faster console by now.

Plot twist: It was emulation of the Switch on Switch 2.

Knew it would be problematic when they announced it. Despite the age some late cycle N64 can be quite demanding. I couldn't get Conker to be rock solid frame rate even with a very high CPU overclock.
PD is also extremely demanding and while the NSO emulation is superior to using a Retroarch core, this also has to run on stock Switch clocks. Let's hope they focus on it.

God, the GBA line up was omnipotent when a Mario Kart game can be last and still good.

I always rate them according the titles I know 100% I will get.
In this case it’s: Mario & Luigi, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Zelda and Prime 4. That already makes it a 8/10 minimum for me, some of my most bellowed franchises.

Plus there’s titles I’m decently interested in, so a 9/10 overall. A 10/10 if it had the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess pack.

Shame they didn’t treat the Lite with an OLED upgrade. I feel like buying a mid end IPS screen in 2024 with all the options out there is just a no no.

I can tell you this. I'm an avid disliker of turn-based RPGs and yet I already have 8h in this game and having an absolute blast. Either a 9 or a straight 10 by the time I finish it, I'm sure.

It's a game changer. Seeing it in 4K at 240fps is how the original looked in my younlinKs eyes back in the early 2000's.
