Don't mind Miiverse that much but even if I did, I would understand Nintendo's decision. Anyone who thinks they are gonna start doing good because of Iwata needs to seriously shut up.
We were all saddened and surprised, Mr. Miyamoto. Thank you for introducing us to the Wii and DS families, amiibo, success, amazing games, and more, Mr. Iwata.
If Nintendo wasn't announcing many games at E3 2015 because of the NX, then I am definitely hyped.
I hope to see a mix of the great titles we got from Nintendo on past consoles as well as titles from third-parties. Next E3 is going to be huge for me: this is going to be the first time I watch both the Sony and Microsoft conferences (I got a PC so I want to see what games are coming; don't care about the Xbox and PS exclusives) and the NX will be revealed!
If true, that is very, very, VERY disappointing. But if third parties were "impressed" or "satisfied" or however they put it, then it must be at least on par.
At least we know it won't need to be as powerful as the PS4 to get a great looking Animal Crossing. Let's put those HD models to good use, people! And I'll be getting a PC soon so I won't really need to worry if the NX doesn't get the third party games.
I was originally against Nintendo launching the NX in 2016 but at this point, I wouldn't care. E3 was pretty embarrassing--for me, the only Wii U must buy was Mario Maker with Amiibo Festival being a giant slap in the face.
Have a new 3D Mario, a new Metroid, a new Animal Crossing, possibly a new IP, and I think @Quorthon mentioned a Smash U "ultimate edition" and the NX is an easy must buy. In fact, it'd already be one for Animal Crossing.
The summer release date is a bit strange but at this point, it's early 2017 at latest.
Too bad Mario Maker won't have that long to get sales. It could've been really successful. I'm really looking forward to the NX though.
I'm hoping for a 3D Mario and a new Animal Crossing at launch and I think I saw someone around here mention a "Super Smash Bros. U" Ultimate Edition with all the DLC. That's a really neat idea.
Mario Maker easily. I'm so hyped for that game! I noticed amiibo Festival wasn't here but that was probably so we could avoid a terrible poll performance.
"typically defined narratives" Well, except for Sticker Star. That barely HAS a narrative!
I'm really looking forward to this! From what I'm seeing, it looks to be a Mario & Luigi game with a paper theme. The paper characters just happen to have the Paper Mario models.
@Spectra_Twilight A new proper Animal Crossing game after there's been one on every console since the GameCube = unreachable expectations? I don't think so. (Rest of this comment is not directed at you so don't take it wrong)
But also, people are seriously thinking about leaving Nintendo after one E3? Did you think about leaving Nintendo when the GameCube was behind the competition? How about when the Wii wasn't HD and didn't get third-party games like Batman and Assassin's Creed and instead commonly got shovel ware? How about when the Wii U was announced to not have achievements? I think both sides of the argument are overreacting.
No one needs to yell at anyone for not liking an E3 but those same people shouldn't be like "Wow, there were not many games at this E3. BOYCOTTING THE NX!" Extreme much?
Great! This is one of my favorite amiibo uses yet by far! I love all the unique new movements, idle stances, game over themes, and level complete themes the amiibo make. I can't wait to see them all! (when a video is released of them, that is)
Yes, there are games coming but there are barely any we want. Nearly all their games were multiplayer renditions of Nintendo classics like Metroid Prime and Animal Crossing. The previously tense and dramatic Metroid has become a fun and jovial romp with generic robots while AC has gone from a laid back experience with personality filled animals to a party game that (as most people say Mario Party does) may "ruin friendships."
Not that I have anything personal against these games as they may be great in their own right, it just could barely be considered an effort from Nintendo.
Glad to know the NX seems to be a home console at the moment. I'm cooled down after the Digital Event yesterday. Going to start focusing on positives. After making Metroid Prime TRILOGY, I would expect them to do more with just "Metroid" but whatever.
@Vilinision How do we know it's a 3D Land spin-off? All they've said is the vague "3D Mario game."
While a petition to cancel the game may be a bit overblown, the mere fact that it has more than 6,000 signatures and that Iwata apologized for fans' reactions to the Digital Event shows that they may need to change up some things. Perhaps Retro Studios is making a new Metroid? (in all honesty, the "Prime" brand should have stopped by now)
@ericwithcheese2 It's insulting that us Animal Crossing fans don't get a new entry but at the same time will have to pay from $30-$60 for a Mario Party rip-off (and since you need amiibo to even play the game) and buy at least $30 worth of amiibo. If the $60 price tag remains the same, we're looking at a $90 cash grab.

Re: Obituary: Satoru Iwata
I will never be able to watch a Nintendo Direct the same. R.I.P. Mr. Iwata.
You will be missed by all Nintendo fans.

Re: Nintendo President Satoru Iwata Passes Away Aged 55
Aww. R.I.P. Satoru Iwata. Thank you for everything you have given both us and Nintendo. That was not what I was expecting to see when I came here.
Re: Review: Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (Wii U eShop / N64)
The first Kirby game I've seen to not get a 7 on this site.

Who the heck is making decisions at NoA?!
Re: Nintendo Enjoys Success in the Game Critics E3 Awards
Tri Force Heroes over Paper Jam? Eh, all right. Can't argue with that Mario Maker award though.

Re: Poll: Does Nintendo's Drive Towards Multiplayer Gaming Appeal to You?
Does it involve Amiibo Festival? Then, no, not really.
Re: Hands On: Blast Ball Brings Crude Button Mashing and is a Poor Advert for Metroid Prime: Federation Force
Disappointing. Maybe I shouldn't be looking forward to this game after all. What a shame.
Re: Happy Independence Day / 4th of July / Random Saturday!
Happy 4th of July, peeps! Have a happy day! πΊπΈ
Re: The Animal Crossing amiibo Range is Bigger Than We Thought
I thought we already knew about these amiibo. Too bad they'll be wasted on a board game. Looks like we're going to be waiting for NX.

Re: Super Mario Maker Won't Filter Your Naughty Levels, But Offensive Content Can Be Reported
Fantastic! Though in all honesty, I was mostly going to play MY levels anyway.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo NX Shipping This Time Next Year, 20 Million Sales Targeted In First 12 Months
Crazy how many rumors are flying around about this thing. If it reached 20 million sales in its first year, I'd be so happy!
Re: Blast Ball is Actually the Tutorial in Metroid Prime: Federation Force, With an Intriguing Story Promised
So will soccer balls make a common appearance in the story mode? I mean, it's a tutorial so...
Re: β30th Anniversary Super Mario Concert Comes to Japan this September
Maybe it'll pop up on YouTube. Wouldn't be able to go anyways.
Re: Shovel Knight is Coming to Retail
Nice to see the Wii U version will be getting a retail release as well.
Re: Nintendo Reportedly Pitched NX To Third Parties During E3 2015
As long as it's easy for third parties yet we still get the quality Nintendo games, I am completely satisfied.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is Hitting the Wii U Virtual Console Very Soon
I wonder if this means we'll also be getting Majora's Mask despite there being a remake.
Re: Nintendo Isn't Talking About NX Because It Doesn't Want Rivals To Steal Its Ideas
Ah, so is the NX ready? I mean, this makes it seem like the ONLY reason they're not showing it is because they don't want others to steal their ideas.
Re: Masahiro Sakurai Confirms That Recent Super Smash Bros. DLC Additions Weren't From the Fan Ballot
I wonder how much "several" is. (come on, Popo! Come on!)
Re: The First Western Splatoon Splatfest Kicks Off on 4th July
I really couldn't choose. I like both cats and dogs equally...so I ended up choosing dogs because the picture's better.
Re: Nintendo Download: 25th June (North America)
It looks like Bowser's Inside Story may be on the way. I plan on getting an eShop card so I can get both PiT and BIS.
Re: Talking Point: E3 Highlighted Nintendo's Development Shift Towards NX, and Away from Wii U
Too bad Mario Maker won't have that long to get sales. It could've been really successful. I'm really looking forward to the NX though.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Tackles Metroid Prime: Federation Force and amiibo Criticism
Maybe he should tackle that Animal Crossing title. Can he justify that? Plus, that Wind Waker thing doesn't even make sense here.
Re: Exclusive: We Almost Got A Wii U F-Zero Created By Burnout Studio Criterion
Probably would've helped Nintendo fans who skipped out on the Wii get a Wii U. I wonder what these "commitments" Criterion had were.
Re: Hyrule Warriors Producer Confirms More Characters Are Coming to Hyrule Warriors Legends
@whodatninja You can transfer the Legends characters to the Wii U version.
Can't wait for this game! Hoping for the Happy Mask Salesman!
Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Retail Games of 2015 - Summer Edition
Mario Maker easily. I'm so hyped for that game! I noticed amiibo Festival wasn't here but that was probably so we could avoid a terrible poll performance.
Re: Australian Rating Confirms That ZombiU is Shuffling Its Way to Xbox One
An expected but disappointing move from Ubisoft nonetheless.
Re: DΓ©but Splatfest Postponed in North AmericaΒ
Typical. Not much we can do about it though.

I'm really looking forward to this! From what I'm seeing, it looks to be a Mario & Luigi game with a paper theme. The paper characters just happen to have the Paper Mario models.
Re: Satoru Iwata Didn't Apologise For Nintendo's E3 Digital Event, Says Reggie Fils-Aime
@Yorumi As an AC fan myself, you have a fair point. I just think both sides of the argument are going to extremes.

Re: Poll: How Excited Are You About Nintendo's E3 Games?
How can you already say Zelda U is a must have? We've barely even seen 5 minutes of gameplay total.
Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Producer Explains Why Samus Aran Isn't In The Game
@AhabSpampurse Agreed.
@Hachiko @VeeFlamesNL Fair points. They could've just done what @Knuckles or @AhabSpampurse said though.
Re: Next Metroid Prime Home Console Title "Would Likely Now be on NX"

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Producer Explains Why Samus Aran Isn't In The Game
Couldn't they easily have just had one Samus and then three of the Federation Force mechs?

Re: Video: Here's Your Handy E3 2015 Wii U And 3DS Trailer Round Up
@TheLobster I was being sarcastic because the last two games I mentioned in particular seemed to completely abandon their fanbase.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3 Digital Event?
@ericwithcheese2 It's insulting that us Animal Crossing fans don't get a new entry but at the same time will have to pay from $30-$60 for a Mario Party rip-off (and since you need amiibo to even play the game) and buy at least $30 worth of amiibo. Re: Animal Crossing amiibo Festival
Now THIS is "milking" a brand.
Re: Super Mario Maker's Packaging Sure Looks Pretty
Looks cool. It'll probably be one of the few games I actually pre-order. I usually test my luck with getting something on launch day.
Also, Nintendo is releasing Mario Maker on 9/11.
Re: Video: No Matter How Annoyed You Are At Nintendo's E3 2015 Digital Event, You're Not As Annoyed As This Guy
Not like he doesn't have a reason to be so angry...
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3 Digital Event?
@Vineleaf Maybe it's just all a sick joke. Maybe it's just a mode for Animal Crossing Wii U. Maybe it's...ugh...forget it...
Re: Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival Is Basically Mario Party With KK Slider And Company
@umegames Let's forget this. It all never happened.
