I totally agree with Nintendo. I don't care for VR. When 4K starts becoming the norm and we move on from 1080p, that's a different story.

Awesome! The two Wii U games I was most hoping would be ported. Can't wait to finally play Hyrule Warriors with all of the Legends content.

For the first time, EA decides not to do something that will get them money.

Personally, after getting my Switch, my playtime on the PS4 has drastically reduced due to the fact that I'm stuck to one room and have to look at a TV the whole time I'm playing (off-TV play on the Wii U spoiled me) and I'd love for hybrid gaming to be the future of the industry but Sony really doesn't need to worry about the Switch.

Great thing about the Switch is that they're releasing so many games Nintendo fans like me never go to experience. Picking this one up today! I'll take portability over minor graphical differences.

Personally, I find Mario to be more accessible and fun (though Zelda's amazing as well) so I voted Mario for best overall. Haven't had a chance to play some of the older games so I only voted in the Wii, Wii U and Switch polls. I think it's a little unfair to pit 3D World and NSMBU against two Zelda remakes (I consider BOTW more of a Switch game).

Going to go with fantasy since the only sci-fi I'm a huge fan of is Star Wars. (plus, I can convince myself that's fantasy instead of sci-fi. Not a big leap)

They did a pretty good job with it but I'm hoping for a patch later on down the line that locks it at 30fps. If it never happens, I still applaud Bethesda for bringing the game over.

Amazing line-up for the Switch this year, but it looks like it's starting to cool down near the end. Might pick up either Doom or Rocket League but I'm not sure about both.

Still, the best launch year for a console in my recent memory.

Would be cool, but I've found my wanting for this game to lessen as time goes on. I'll see what the reception is, I suppose. I don't really trust EA (or Disney, for that matter) with Star Wars after their 2015 flop.

I love my Switch so far! I was apprehensive when it was first revealed, but I think Nintendo has knocked it out of the park with this one. The Switch seems to be doing great sales-wise.

The only thing I still want is Virtual Console with GameCube and possibly Wii games. If they could get everything they had on the Wii U VC and just port it over, that'd would be awesome.

I'm guessing Batman. I'd love to get it but I just finished Arkham City ... I'll have to see how it stacks up to the other versions I suppose.

Great news for Nintendo! Glad to see the Switch is a success and selling better than the Wii U thus far.

Nintendo really needs to get with the program as far as online is concerned. I personally have never used voice chat and likely never will, but for the people that want to use it, it can make or break the Switch.

Hopefully Nintendo listens to the feedback on the App Store.

Totally unnecessary comments concerning Mr. Iwata. And I'm confused about his first comment: he says that he sees a similar level of success as the Wii era. If that's the case, he doesn't have faith how?

And I think that we should get the "it's easy to port titles over to the Switch" cleared up. This guy's saying it takes too much time and energy to port. He seems to blame Nintendo for a lot of problems.

I'd love for the Switch to be more powerful, but I'll take portability (and preferably 60fps; any resolution) over 1080p or 4K visuals at a wobbly frame rate.

I hope the Switch starts moving the industry away from power and towards games and fun.

The 3D Mario games haven't really had Gamd Overs for some time anyway so no surprise here. I hope this is the route they go for the next 2D game.

He deserves it. Mr. Iwata can be credited with the idea of the Switch (as I'm assuming it was under development when the Wii U was around), while Mr. Kimishima can be credited with some of its success due to its advertising, release, E3, some of the upcoming games, etc.

It would be a cruel joke for Platinum to like that Tweet of the Joycon comparison if it wasn't a port of the first two games. Never got to play them on Wii U so I really hope this is the case!

Great idea, but very unlikely in my opinion. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if they did do this but it would be an absolute miracle.

Not a fan of the mediocrity that is Call of Duty but the Switch is faring much better than most expected. Guess Sledgehammer/Activision just don't care.

COD on the go would've been cool for those that enjoy the series.

Mario Kart 8, as well as DS, Wii, Double Dash, 64, etc are definitely the better games but unfortunately a lot of people choose the first one as the best one because "it's the first one" these days.

Just like Splatoon 2 was 720p when it was first shown off, Mario Odyssey will be 1080p when it comes out. Don't understand why there's a big freakout over it.

Picked Odyssey, Prime 4, and Superstar Saga were my favorite reveals. Really looking forward to those titles!

Very good showing by Nintendo this E3. The game I was personally anticipating the most wasn't shown, but I have to overlook that because of the other stuff they did show.

By the time that VC does release, I expect GameCube games to be featured since they seem to be taking their time.

Overall, I'd say this was Nintendo's best showing in a long time. Odyssey looks fantastic, Metroid was announced, Rocket League and a new Kirby were shown. I'd give it a solid A-.

I'm disappointed by the lack of Animal Crossing and VC, but I'm holding out hope they'll be shown later this year.

If it's that short, there better not be any developer stories in there.

Replace Bayonetta? Have they gone mad?! I echo what others have said — new characters are fine but you can't just replace the namesake of the franchise.

I usually play portable, but my Mario Kart online works better docked so I've been playing more of that lately.

Being able to seamlessly switch between the TV and on the go should be a necessity for gaming from now on.

High sales like the Wii had should always be the target now that Nintendo knows it's achievable. Nice to see that they're not letting one console's poor reception keep them down.

I think everyone's being a bit too harsh on her. The voice acting as a whole wasn't anything to write home about, even compared to a Nintendo-published game, Kid Icarus: Uprising. I don't think Zelda games need voice acting to be honest.

She was pretty good in Assassin's Creed, in my opinion, so this was just an isolated case. Zelda just shouldn't have dialogue, which is why the voice was probably weird to most people.

It's awesome how well Nintendo's doing right now! Whoever thinks they're doomed or failing at this point is just kidding themselves.

I'm surprised at how popular the Switch has been in my area. Either a lot of people are closet Nintendo fans or they have attracted tons of newcomers to the console.

I hope that Nintendo slowly phases out the 3DS. Getting both their console and handheld development teams on one system would mean twice the games, as well as all of Nintendo's franchises on one console.

I feel that 12.7 sales is a reasonable target. I think that they'll easily be able to reach it.

Like the design, definitely superior than the original 3DS. That's the only one I have. However, I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Only 3DS game coming up that I'm interested in is Miitopia.

We'll see. Personally I'm not sure if it will be released on the Switch, but that's a plus if it does.

I just happen to have little to no interest in the series.

Excellent news! If this is how well the Switch does with "one worthwhile game" in a non-holiday season, I am sure that MK8, Splatoon, and Odyssey will get this system really far!

Honestly, the Direct made me want to get the game less, but I'm not sure why. It was probably the presentation itself. It probably just isn't for me but I'm sure others will enjoy it!

This is hands down the best Lego game. The remaster is better than the original on every level and I'm enjoying my time with it so far. I don't see how it's worse now than it was before. Other games that came out later may be better but that doesn't make this game worse.

Voted for Bayonetta, Sm4sh, and Hyrule Warriors (Legends in HD preferably). I wasn't a huge fan of Mario Maker (still liked it though, just not as much as most) and I don't know how it could work on the Switch anyway.

I think people are overestimating the amount of load times in the game. You will encounter around two every play session and the first is the loading of the entire open world.

I honestly found the load times for Tropical Freeze much worse since they are way more common.

EDIT: The first load time shown in the video is the longest in the game. They really aren't that bad; few and far between.

The Switch has the potential to be a fantastic console! I am a bit worried about how third parties are treating it right now and if the trend continues, the Switch may be another Nintendo-only console for me.

I don't mind having a Nintendo-only console, but I want them to succeed! So far, sales have been pretty good and the Switch has an excellent first year line up ahead of it. It's off to a great start!
