So is Nintendo going to...do something yet? Color Splash is out.

I chose Kid Icarus only because I'm not THAT familiar with Metroid, but I'd give a Prime game a chance if it came to the NX.

Kid Icarus-wise, I would be fine with an Uprising remaster but Sakurai has been really vague when it comes to a sequel. Something about him not being able to top Uprising...

@Joeynator3000 If you want the best Lego game, go for Undercover. Batman 2, Star Wars III, and this would be next in that order.

This is the first decent Lego game since Undercover in my opinion.

As for pricing, I was expecting Run to be free but I guess not.

Why are people complaining? This is just a mobile game. It's not like it's replacing a 3D platformer or anything.

It looks pretty cool to me. I wonder what the bubble in the top left does...now all I have do is anxiously wait for the NX reveal. Hurry up already!

Definitely a major press event. They should've done it on Sep 1st. It needs to be this week at the latest.

Absolutely agree with all of these, though it'd be great to see Metroid in there as well. If at least five of these AREN'T launch titles, I will be hugely surprised.

Not having an Animal Crossing game as a launch title would be a huge missed opportunity.

Oh, Paper Mario sold more on the 3DS than GameCube? People must hate the RPG mechanics. Oh, a multiplayer 2D Mario game sold more than a 3D Mario game? People must ONLY want 2D games!

I'm pretty sure Smash U has sold less than 11 million...guess that means people hate Smash! End the franchise!

Sounds a bit sad, really. These last few years have been pretty rough for Nintendo and Miyamoto game-wise (Sticker Star, Color Splash, amiibo Festival, Mario Party 10, Ultra Smash, Star Fox Zero, etc).

I'm really not sure what Pikmin 3 brings to the conversation here. It's not underrated by any means. I can't think of many underrated Wii U games...Lego City Undercover is only underrated in the respect that not many people bought it. Nearly everyone that did (including me) loved it.

Like how Color Splash evolved from watching a kid finger paint or something like that?

But as for the subject at hand, I hope Miis return to the NX. Still looking like they do now (nowhere near the Xbox avatars, please, I like Nintendo's style here more) but with more options for...everything. Eyes, mouth, nose, etc. There needs to be a better balance between "generic happy Mii" and "way too detailed Mii."

I doubt they won't reach 2 mil. The interesting part will be seeing which gets more sales: the Wii U or the NX versions.

Doesn't really matter to me much. I'm planning on buying the NX version anyway. Sounds like they may be trying to make the newer one the better version. Give people more incentive to buy an NX or something.

Every time they say something really cryptic about the NX like this, I just get more worried and excited at the same time. I'm just hoping for the best.

A shame they don't just go to Nintendo now.

@Grumblevolcano I doubt they would do that because of a political decision. But, then again, I don't know Nintendo. I just don't think a political conversation is fit for a comment section like this.

I wonder if they'll port Arkham Knight over to the NX. That'd be cool but it'd be nearly two years old at the NX's launch.

Good news if true. Cartridges can hold more data and are usually much more efficient than discs. Though I'm sure third-parties won't see it that way. We'll see what happens.

I'm 99% sure that the NX is using cartridges at this point.

I would've thought a September reveal was pretty obvious. Everything else mentioned here is up for grabs.

@BarryDunne Please! I'd love an open world Mario. If it's a "new kind of Mario," I doubt he's talking about the inevitable platforming Mario that'll be an NX launch title. But that's just my guess.

Should we really be surprised? Nintendo has been constantly reusing artwork for Mario spinoffs recently and I have no idea why. How hard is it to create a new render based on the title that character appears in?

What a massive disappointment. It seems Nintendo doesn't even want to treat Paper Mario as a legitimate series anymore.

MK8 DLC will make my E3. Hopefully it's a surprise reveal.

Even though I don't care so much about the car thing, I'm not a big fan of portable Mario Parties anyway. Island Tour wasn't so great and it DIDN'T have cars.

Maybe we'll see the rumored MK8 DLC as well. That'd be the highlight of this E3 for me. Every single other conference except for Zelda was disappointing imo.

I'd love to see a return to form kind of Mario Party as an NX launch title and I'm saying that as someone that actually liked Mario Party 9.

I have to admit, though, Mario Party 10 was...below par.

I kinda hope this is just 2 cups with remastered retro tracks that have already returned like Maple Treeway and Koopa Cape (pleeeeeeease). We can't use em all up before Mario Kart 9!

Wait WHAT?! They don't have any dev kits? I was really hoping to see some third parties at the NX announcement thing they're going to be having later this year. Maybe they'll be given some after E3...

And who knows? Maybe Nintendo's given some to Ubisoft, EA, and the like.

Nintendo's E3: watching people play part of a game that's been delayed like three times already and then watching them play Pokémon.

This is why I don't like Ubisoft's E3s! All they do is play some sort of multiplayer thing while reciting scripted lines like "okay, go over there" and "boom, head shot!" It'll be no different for Nintendo's.

If the NX uses the same architecture as the other two consoles, there's no excuse for a majority of the games not being on the NX, unless they're exclusives.

But, unfortunately, it seems companies like EA need to support the NX for it to be a success. I wouldn't mind their absence but Nintendo needs to in this instance. Now, I would mind Ubisoft's absence since I love Assassin's Creed and their PC ports aren't the best.

I really like having game scores. They sum up overall thoughts on the game as opposed to simply saying, "oh, I liked it" or "I recommend this game." That doesn't give you a sense of how good it is.

Also, as much as I find the "80s, 90s, early 00s" score chart better than the one that most people see games as, I definitely wouldn't consider a 6 "good." Even this site uses a 6 as "not bad" while a 7 is "good." We shouldn't completely get rid of scores just because of the misconceptions a few reviewers have, like anything below an 8 is terrible.
