Re: Arietta of Spirits Demo Arrives Today, Launches Very Soon

Oh, they deliver stateside! Just be prepared to wait 6-7 months with (little to) no word (French site/company, I believe) and then, BAM! Heeeeeere’s Johnny! I recently received my copy of Hardcore Mecha—after the wait and increased pricing (I feel like I payed close to $70 US), this game would have to be at least “an 8” for me to begin considering this option again.

This! Not a particular fan of Lex or Villager, but that combo was definitely a highlight for me. Other “quick” delights (that I didn’t see mentioned), for me:

Dark Samus as Venom
Mewtwo as Magneto
Bowser Jr as Green Goblin
Shiek as Electra
Falco as The Falcon
Mega Man as Cable
Wario as Deadpool
Samus as Iron Man
Diddy as Star Lord
Bulbs says as Groot (can’t unsee that one.!)
Hero as Taskmaster
Lucario as Martian Man-Hunter
Duck (Hunt?) as Cyborg
Ice Climbers as The Wonder Twins
ZSS as Catwoman
Capt Falcon as Flash
Squirtle as Momoa...er, Aquaman
Dedede as The Penguin
Snake as Deadshot
Steve as Dr. Manhattan
Aaaand...Incineroar as Lobo!

So many good ideas and themes tied together...WOW! Kudos to the artist!!

Open world games I tend to just walk around in circles and get bored if I'm under the influence.
The story of the first 20-or-so hours of Breath of the Wild, for me (only it wasn't boring)! I'd inhale...and then get lost in Hyrule! sigh fond quarantine memories (yes, super late to BotW)!

THIS! (What up, Dogg?!)
Heck, maybe you'd even enjoy this 'girl's game' if you gave it a go (although I think that idea scares a few people as well).
This is the paradox: they “know” they don’t like this game, because..reasons. If they tried it and liked it, they would realize they might not know themselves as well as they think/boast. Avoiding that kind of potential identity crisis and subsequent embarrassment is likely one of the reasons they find this hobby comforting in the first place, So they puff, seethe, defend (offend?). This, for these types, is not limited to video games, unfortunately.
This game I have no intention of buying tied/beat tons of Switch games I love; like you said-sunrise, sunset.

Re: Limited Run's E3 Showcase Will Include More Than 25 Physical Game Announcements

CodyDogg

To add to the many lists already started but, shockingly, omitted to date:
The Touryst
Spiritferrer
FAR: Lone Sails
Liberated: Enhanced Edition
Raji: An Ancient Epic
Oninaki

Plus Doom and Cuphead...to repeat others. This pandemic was a BIG year+ for this indie-physical Game Daddy (Bug Fables, Ys Origin, Mighty Gunvolt Burst, Hyper Light Drifter, Panzer Paladin, Hardcore Mecha, Ori Box Set, Bloodstained 2, Crosscode, To the Moon, Inmost...plus Ys IX, Cat Quests, Bioshock Tril, Trials, Digimon Duo) so I can only imagine what my poor wallet has to endure for the next 12-15 mos.!

Re: One Of The Rarest Mega Man Titles Is Getting A Physical Reprint

@Ambassador_Kong
Ah! A fellow U Man, eh? Yeah, I’ll admit: seeing ‘our’ purchase of that console rendered further into a punch line (more so than even when it was current) via Switch ports stings me in an indescribable, almost betrayal, kind of way.! I get the frustration, but, ideally, NTDOY have a couple years left to change that ‘greatest mistake.’
If not, admittedly, “I have a few hundred dollars of venting to do before I'm done,” is a great line! Cheers.

Re: Flowstone Saga Is A JRPG With Tetris-Style Combat, And It's Coming To Switch

CodyDogg

Anyone else worried the combat will feature You (the main character) and ONLY You? I love a lot about what I’m seeing with this one (including a year buffer to put up more Backlog beat down), but that would be an easy negative for me. In most turn based RPGs, I prefer: 3 ally minimum, interchangeable main character, augmentable action bar, 3rd person and combat animations. The rest (regenerate health/SP after battle, real-time button interaction, “poisoned until antidoted,” no EXP if unconscious, EXP for active party members only, etc.) can be negotiated. Will keep my eyes on this one...

Re: Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Will Speed Onto Nintendo Switch

@rockodoodle
Hmmm...let’s save that brilliant idea for F-Zero. Imagine, being able to freely cruise around futuristic cities, taking on missions, challenges and even side-quests (Travis-style, where the genre, even graphics, shifts) as Cap...or perhaps a custom-built character. GTA-like in Zero Gravity; let’s see Falcon use that pistol! C’mon, Nintendo, (continue to) make my dreams come true.!!

Squeaky wheel gets the grease...right? It’s like, a ton of people who frequent this site are sustained through complaining. I, for one, love LRG, but I’m a backlog Bro living in America. Not only can I wait ‘ridiculously long’ lengths of time to receive my purchase (I.e. 3-4 months), but the shipping isn’t terrible to me, either.
I’m up to 10 games so far (To the Moon and CotM 2 as my most recent), and won’t be stopping anytime soon... So there’s my worthwhile opinion on the topic; add it to the pile, ha!

Top Comments: well done! My thoughts and opinions, and so much more! Like many on here, I have a 60+ backlog of games that I intend on finishing (credits roll...), and take pride in whittling it down as best I can (70% completion ain't bad!). Not judging others who jump in and out of games for their various reasons, that's just...NEVER how I roll! I read reviews, I wait for sales, I buy physical, I rarely sell; it's both a collection and a hobby, and I strive to give each of my purchases it's due (time, patience, blood, tears, sweat, etc.).
