The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now four years old, and its impact helped the Nintendo Switch establish itself as a must-have system (and gave a fond farewell on Wii U, let's not forget). Yet despite all that time passing, and the millions of hours dedicated to it, there's still the occasional surprise to find.
A fun glitch/exploit highlighted recently (hat-tip to reader CM30) was shared by ThornyFox on YouTube. It's extremely easy to do and allows you to go on an adventure pretty much anywhere with Yunobo, the lovably cowardly Goron. The only issue for anyone wanting to try it out is that a new save may be required, as it is triggered before a key point in a quest. Check out the video below for the rundown.
A follow-up by the Gaming Reinvented channel does highlight a few odd behaviours and potential moments where Yunobo will simply spawn out, but for the most part it seems you truly can go on a buddy adventure.
If you're still enjoying BoTW's Hyrule and trying out little exploits like this, let us know in the comments.

Nice little find... though I personally found Yunobo annoying so probably wouldn't do this myself.
Edit: Probably should clarify, not necessarily the character himself, but the whole escort him up the mountain thing.
Sure, but it's Yunobo. He's not a particularly great character.
What about if you fast travel? Ideally, I want not to know where he is, but that somewhere he is It Follows-ing his way across the countryside.
First the Ride on Sidon Anywhere glitch, now this? Wonder if we'll get to take Riju on a Sand Seal racing tour across Hyrule next....
@dystome I have a feeling that since you will just leave him behind when he follows you in the proper section, he will just not follow you anymore if you teleport. Don't quote me in that though.
Unless the game prevents you from teleporting during that sequence normally and you can with this glitch, then I can see him just slowly making his way over to you after teleport. It'd be a funny sight for sure.
It would be better if he acted as a bodyguard and went out ahead of you as thanks for helping him earlier lol. Sort of like Wolf Link.
@yosher Fast travel would most likely make him despawn.
1. Can he die?
2. Can he get into gerudo town?
@RupeeClock Harsh!
Yunobo?! Yeeeeaah, not restarting my
Save file for that fool...
