Re: Download Warning Ruins Box Art For Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster

@Level_Up: your ‘benefits’ are opiniated arguments. I know casuals (the definition of which is also highly debatable; after all, most casual gamers don’t even go on gaming websites, much less forum on them...) who don’t deal ‘with the whole download thing,’ don’t even ‘know what an ‘eShop is.’ So...for you, these seem like great ‘benefits,’ but far from universally agreed, even with other casual gamers, especially those who are leery of security breaches a la Sony 2011. And thanks for the promise that getting up to change a game once a night WILL NOT benefit anyone in the long term; I challenge you that it WILL NOT hurt anyone in the long run, either. Besides our points, obviously, but generally speaking: movement > sedentary.

@Level_Up: gotta say, your “7. The thrill of modernizing your gaming hobby, because it’s 2019 and nothing is physical anymore.” is terribly weak. Nothing is physical anymore? WHAT?! Like game consoles, controllers, cars, guitars, framed photographs, wooden birdhouses, snowboards, surf wax, coins, stamps, road bikes, snow shoes.? Hobbies, in 2019, are physically plentiful...abundant even! We just enjoy one where going digital makes the suppliers richer, which is fine, but wow, what an egregious, blanket statement!
And “3. Swapping games without having to get up and sift through cases” makes it seem like You think it’s a big deal to have to get up and change carts, which is where Shane76’s incidental exercise comment comes from. More often that not, I yearn for the days where we actually had to move to get something.
Unlike my man Shane, though: “6. Better for the environment” is a great argument that he (and everyone) should care about: no environment, no damn anything!
And yes, I personally prefer physical.

Another for: Other:M was good! The first person controls were frightful, and the story was iffy at times, but still a fun experience that I, like this website (once upon a time, evidently), would recommend. There was one ‘spot-the-clue’ part early on that nearly had me give up, but once you start earning power-ups and abilities (like all Metroids), the games really shines.

As previously mentioned: updated UI and folders! I loved the Wii and U’s menu look, it was a conversation piece in itself!! Bigger (and console inspired {brilliant idea!}) joycons would rule, better online ‘friend’ experience/matching and some kind of ‘Paper’ title would fulfill my middle-aged dreams! But I just bought the thing, so this honeymoon will last a while even if they don’t... Oh, and I’m in the add-Netflix-why-not? clan!

Re: Rumour: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Is Taking To The Skies On Switch

Motion controls were terrible: +1! I finished the game, and enjoyed how some dungeons were reused and remixed; it was at least different from the admittedly formulaic design Zeldas had fallen into. The loft-wing sections and boss fights ‘in between’ were great, and items actually being worthwhile AFTER the dungeon they were found in was a FINALLY! moment for me too (break that formula!). Hub world was embarrassingly sparse, and I never forged a great connection with the recurring characters (it was trying to be Link Potter or some shiz!). But Both those Ghirahim/Demise ‘mirror’ fights, HO-LEE HELL the frustration! As someone mentioned above, I’ve rarely been so excited to beat a game if only to never ‘have to’ play it again. 7/10, so...one of the worst Zeldas ever (but still better than II, in my op).

Re: Review: Ikaruga (Switch eShop)

Does anyone remember Kyotokei? Same mechanics, probably worse...ok; question is: that game was damned hard (last vertical level...impossible?!!), but is this even worse/harder? Never finished that one (not for lack of trying either, holy $hit!), so I probably wouldn’t readily buy a game I’m 90%+ sure I can’t beat.

@gameboy1975: you're just...right! Who wants someone telling them they're missing out on something...as though that person can and has experienced everything there is to do in the world! Cool, you own two or perhaps all 3 consoles, great; but, well, you should really go outside more often, "you're really missing out!" Followed by, naturally: you shouldn't take offense to my harmless statement, "sheesh!" How else is one supposed to react to that extremely helpful insight--with a thank you?

@MitchVogel
As someone who stopped playing at Gold (not sure what 'gen' that is...), the inclusion of both ('monlee if I had to choose 1; screw 'montop, that phony!!) is kind of a deal breaker. The fact that the staff mostly guessed incorrectly tells me I'm probably going to have to wait for the next announcement (at least) for the most appropriate and manifest Pokemon additions to the game.
