Update (Thu 8th Apr, 2021): The stream has been broadcast and you can check out the full archived video if you like, or watch some brand new game footage — plus a suitably Suda-style recap for No More Heroes newbies courtesy of character Sylvia Christel — via its own YouTube video. We're unable to embed the trailer here due to the explicit language it contains, so take care when clicking on that link. The full stream features more footage of the game and an extended chat with Suda51 (all in Japanese, of course).
Also announced at the end of the trailer segment was a new Switch collection of the three No More Heroes games known as the 'Killion Dollar Trilogy' (pictured above). No word on a western release just yet, but we'll update this article when we learn more.
Original Story (Tue 6th Apr, 2021): One upcoming release that could use a little more attention is the next outing in the universe of No More Heroes. Yes, we're talking about the third mainline entry No More Heroes III - starring Travis Touchdown.
This time around he'll have to climb his way up to the top of the Galactic Superhero rankings in order to put a stop to the evil Prince FU and ten alien assassins intent on taking over the planet.
If you're keen to learn more about Suda51's third major entry in the NMH series, Grasshopper Manufacture and Marvelous will air a "No More Broadcasting 5.1 GHm" special later this week, on 8th April, 21:00 JST. It'll be live-streamed on YouTube and the social media platform Twitter. There'll also be a look back on the history of the No More Heroes series.
The broadcast will be presented by MC Mafia Kajita, feature Shishiro Botan (from the Virtual YouTuber group Hololive) as a guest, and the game's director Goichi "Suda51" Suda will also be appearing.
Travis will be "touching down" in his latest game, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, on 27th August this year.
If there's any exciting information shared during this No More Heroes III broadcast, we'll be sure to let you know. Are you excited for the next chapter in the NMH series? Leave a comment down below.

Later this week...in August? Lol Time flies but there's no way it's my bday month yet!
@Broosh I caught that too.
I'm confused is it April 8 or August 4 2021?
Oops! Liam got the date wrong. It's the 8th of April, not the 4th of August.
@Broosh It would be nice if it was August, we'd be so close to actually playing the game now.
The broadcast is taking place on 8th April - that's this week.
You have no moueyy!
Can't wait, this game already looks really good so far
The irony that this will probably be in my hands sooner than LRG's physical releases of the first two games.
@Silly_G ikr I'm still waiting on my shantae switch re releases lol
I wanna hear more about hub world and how big it is and if there's any new stuff you can do in it.
Is this entry in the NMH series going to be rated T for teen? I think it might.
@KonoRobinMaskDa676 I guess you haven’t played any of these games yet. Your Google-fu is lacking.
Can I just confirm that the broadcast is on 8th April, but the game is on 27th August?
Wow cant wait!
Beat NMH 2 on Sunday and rn I'm playing through Travis Strikes Again, this series has quickly become my favourite of all time so I'll 100% be tuning into this.
amiibo compatibility would neat so specific t-shirts could be unlocked. Like, a Link amiibo unlocks an 8-Bit Link or Majoras Mask design
@KonoRobinMaskDa676
Where do you live?there not censored here(belgium).strange
@Ahlvin23 (Facepalm) Ooops..it was a mistake.After i checked footage of the Switch HD version, the game is uncut.
My apologies...
I'm a European btw
I'm so glad mainline No More Heroes is returning and on Switch! I bought and supported Travis Strikes Again and the NMH2 port (purchased for the 2nd time) just for this reason & hope. Amped for this!
@mereel I don't think so. My Google-Fu are excellent.
And my research shows that the games have ratings from 16+ to 18+
And how does that proof that i haven't played the games???
That was brilliantly insane.
C'mon Marvelous, give us that double pack too. Limited Run Games can go to hell.
@Slowdive I ordered the LRG no more heroes 1&2 on switch and now this news....sigh
@Slowdive @tonyp1987 Agreed. ¥9800 is very reasonable for the whole set. Would buy this in a heartbeat over LRG's split release, limited BS.
As excited as I am for this and oh boy, am I excited, when they announced a double pack of the first 2 games, it kinda made me feel a tad sour that Limited Run Games sold them as individual titles. Oh well.
That was a very Suda51 video promotion
I'm sold
If that physical trilogy gets a release in Europe, I'll bite. If not, I'll just get 3. Digital or import limited run is just WAY too expensive for the value, that I essentially already own (twice).
Just watched the short video, looks good. I played both on switch and the spin off so I'll be picking it up
Now I don’t know whether to get the LRG releases or not! Great. Much rather a double pack like this; but in english. All these stupid limited print companies and regional variations... it gets so confusing (and expensive).

Haha, good one YouTube.
Guess I'l see it when I see it.
would it be bad if i went for both the cool boxset as well as my already pre-ordered santa destroy bundle from LRG
@Dragwhite Trust me I'm very tempted as a fan of Suda... No More Heroes has been his magnum opus and I want to support that man some more!!!
@Dragwhite will do the same! Also have the signed by suda51 pix n love version of travis strikes again
In that case, I think I'd rather import the Japanese release so I can have the first two games on a single cartridge over LRG's separate (and overpriced) ones.
However, if this Killion box set is the only way to procure the cartridge for the first two games, then I think I'll stick to the LRG versions as I would like to support the local release of NMH3.
Honestly, the bloody timing of it all.
It happened again. I bought blaster master 1 and 2 then a trilogy set is announced. Now it hapoens the same with NMH. Oh well, çe la vie.
Wow, glad I decided to leave it to the last minute for the LRG release. This is a much better deal!
Not this time, LRG. Not this time.
Awesome, hopefully this version comes to the west!
@PiXeLSteF @Wexter
Exactly my thoughts, I love his works so I may pick them both up to solely support Suda and Grasshopper if they do release over here.
Haven't got anything signed yet tho but I do have the physical version of Travis Strikes Again in my collection.
I love everyone complaining about LRG, acting like MOST collectors editions of practically any game, but especially a Japan exclusive, WON'T end up getting scalped for way more than what it's actually worth. I understand being disappointed that we didn't get the "same treatment", but isn't that on Marvelous and/or Nintendo? Most people just came to crap on LRG. Wah wah wah. Everyone just complain more about it, history has shown that it always helps to do so!
@jcboyer515 I think this would fall more on Ubisoft as they were the overseas publisher of No More Heroes 1 & 2 and I would assume they had a clause to continue western publishing rights if the games were ever re-released or a sequel was made... they probably just did not act on those rights or waved them for NMH:TSA and by extension NMH3.
