Re: Unlike Metroid Prime, Quake II's Original Dev Team Is Credited On The Switch Remaster

OK, everyone who actually reads every name in the credits is allowed to still be upset by about this. Everyone else get down off the high horse. We now live in a world where (and I'm not making this up) the people who get coffee are listed in the credits of some movie as "caffeinators."

Films and games used to list only the most important contributors in the credits. And (aside from the weird pseudonym era) ANYONE who contributed could still put their work on a resume.

People gotta stop searching so hard for "injustices" to be upset over. ..... and online news outlets gotta stop trying to benefit so hard off of upsetting their readers. Earn your clicks by being accurate, informative and with integrity, not rage bait.

Re: The Voice Behind Mario Movie's 'Plumbing Commercial Lady' Has Been Revealed

The film is not woke nor anti-woke. It is neither. It is non-woke (and technically also non-anti-woke).

If it were woke Peach would have been the insufferable #girlboss some of the trailers made her out to be. If it were anti-woke Peach would have, I don't know, had scenes in one of the tropical or beach environments wearing a bikini in slow motion.

I think the fact that the film was neither of those things DOES explain a large part of its success; and to not acknowledge that is ignorant. It was not made for one half of the audience or the other, it was made for everyone. So everyone went to see it.

hey look a flawless female character. again. another one. yayyy.

every beginner writer knows flaws, and overcoming them, are what endears people to characters. the only people the Mary Sue archetype appeals to are the people who think pop culture fiction can somehow "smash the patriarchy." the most amazing thing about that phenomenon is that, at its core, it's large media organizations successfully convincing progressives that partaking in capitalistic ventures is counter-culture and/or protest! ROFL!!

"This adaptation takes a few liberties with the truth all for the purpose of entertainment."

I can't stand how this has become the norm. There have been a number of movies in the last decade or so where it's like, ok, something like that happened with Freddie Mercury and Queen, but nothing remotely like what's in the film. And then the majority of audiences leave thinking that was the reality.

Here's an idea for film-makers, if the original story isn't interesting enough, or you can't use cinematography to make the truth interesting, DON'T make the movie!!!

....yea, yea, money > truth I get it.
