@epicgamner I definitely have two minds when it comes to the modern Pokemon games. one part absolutely knows that they can be better, shoulder be better, and that there is no valid excuse why they can't be better. the other part of me knows that they still provide a fun experience that is one of my favorite in all of gaming and that I truly can't get anywhere else.
both of those thoughts coexist comfortably in my mind.
I am really glad when Nintendo succeeds with characters that don't get the spotlight (pun intended) very often. Captain Toad, Luigi's Mansion, Birdo's Big Blast Bonanza.... all excellent.
I really wanted to love Epic Mickey, but, it just didn't work for me — especially the good/bad morality thing. Mickey should just be a good guy. If you took out that mechanic, this game would have been a ton more fun. As is it, you always have to wonder how your actions will be interpreted and that wasn't fun.
I'm concerned this is going to be yet another venture that spreads the company's attention even thinner. But, if it was indeed a group focused on quality control, that would be great!!!! .... I just doubt that's it.
I am still fine with this since purchasing MHS2 physically is easily possible. In fact, I will probably find/print a custom sleeve so it looks like MHS2 is not part of the equation at all.
Barioth and Tetsucabra are my top 2, but I understand those are never gonna be considered on the same level as most of the Elders and end-gamers that dominate this list.
"You, as an actor, are so disposable. You have to come to terms with that."
Yea, obviously. That's why there are a hundred similar sentiments that all boil down to "that's showbiz, baby."
No one should get involved in the industry if that lifestyle isn't for them. Even a lot of the people who do nothing but "succeed" end up with tragic ends.
Pleeeease put these on a cartridge and then I will buy them. Added bonus would be to redo the sprites, but, I'll start with just physical media please ^_^
I've been playing Pokemon games since Platinum and honestly I love each new generation just a little more than the last. So Scarlet/Violet is my favorite, BUT ..... the performance is just inexcusable. Can't someone from the Zelda BotW/TotK team spend a weekend at Gamefreak and fix the dame framerate and draw distance!?!? lol
@vicviper001 That's the ironic thing when outlets report on these creations. The report is what jeopardizes the legal plausible deniability. So if they really cared about the fan games not getting taken down, they wouldn't run stories on them.
The article mentions that Nintendo may take it down, but doesn't mention that this project is likely outside the bounds of fair use and thus infringes on trademark and/or copyright. It's almost as if NL is trying to paint a slanted picture of the truth for the sake of riling people up. Almost.
The Game Awards is a soulless exercise — like most modern award shows, it tries to make the case that the people voting on these awards have opinions we should care about. However, I ..... don't think that's true. So.... I don't care. Also, Geoff Keighley.
BotW and TotK are not only two of the best Zelda games ever, but they're two of my favorite games of all time. I recognize things will need to change and evolve going forward, and we might not need any more installments with this particular Zelda/Link universe. But, open-world is absolutely the direction for the franchise.
From the very first game the series has always been trying to achieve an open-world feel. The technology has simply finally allowed for that vision to be realized; which I believe Miyamoto said directly in several interviews before BotW was released.
The Zelda timeline is just a fun little thought experiment. Even when Nintendo "officially" published one, I think it was just to give the fans a bone. Some Zelda games are directly connected, most are not. It's that simple.
