Objectively tomb raider 2013 is the best regardless of the port quality…. The original ones didn’t age that well and frankly the one in number 1 isn’t even a fan favorite.
3 versions of Street Fighter 2 but not Mortal Kombat 2? It’s OK to prefer one, but can’t ignore the other’s legacy and impact. I personally would rather play MK2 or UMK3 over any Street Fighter 2, but can’t deny it’s greatness.
I’m on the fence about this one, never tried these games, and it seems like the gameplay loop is quite repetitive, but it does look great and I love TOTK and BOTW.
Just 10. But BOTW took most of my Switch time, and since last week Death Stranding 2 has taken my precious gaming time. I do enjoy Knockout tour a lot, those get wild.
Restarted Breath of the wild, it’s so much improved. Really loving the update so much that I hardly tried Mario Kart ( did 2 elimination races though, quite fun). Very happy with my purchase so far!
@Blast16 when was that? Fighting games have been releasing upgraded versions of the same game for ages. You may have forgotten the multiple iterations of Street Fighter II, or Mortal Kombat 3, which was upgraded to UMK3 and then to Trilogy. And back then, you couldn’t even just buy the new content, you had to buy the whole game again. Not saying in supportive, but it’s been this way in fighting games for ages.
@Spider-Kev Mythologies. Still have nightmares about how frustratingly difficult it was, mostly due to poor controls. I actually loved MK9, X and 11, but just couldn’t get into MK1.
I wonder if the strategy here is to approach 3rd party publishers and ask them to get their games on Switch, even offering to take on porting duties, in exchange for xx% cut of total sales. Could be interesting if this helps get more traction for devs that wouldn’t usually release games for Nintendo systems.
I don’t think Switch will ever get crossplay. The game on other consoles doesn’t have any loading screens and plays very smoothly, with hardly any dips below 60fps. Switch would mean slowing down the opponent. I think crossplay will be implemented, but only between PS5 and Xbox.
It does if they want my cash on day 1 and many others. Say what you want about Microsoft and Xbox, but if they have nailed something is their BC. Xbox platform is iterating and looking to bring everything the previous machine supported.
I think it will be Starfield, Baldur's Gate 3 or Tears of the Kingdom. I enjoyed Final Fantasy 16, Diablo IV, Jedi: Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy a lot, but I don't think they are quite at the same level at the others - unlike others, I actually think that Starfield will meet its expectations, we'll see.
I don't think Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, or Metroid Prime have a chance. While the three were great and I also enjoyed them a lot, I don't think they would go with a remake or remaster, as great as the 3 of them were.
@Deviant-Dork by all means go ahead and spend your 50 bucks, not like I have any right to tell you what to do with your cash. I’ll keep playing my 2017 10 dollar version that will most likely perform better than yours in my series X. Too bad that your decision will encourage companies to continue rot try to rip of us though.
@NintendoByNature considering I got the Xbox version for 10 like 6 years ago, there’s no way in hell I think this is worth 50 even if you haven’t played it. I would love to have a portable version, but 50 can get you much better current gen games than a 13 year old game without any modern day enhancements. Hard pass
One of my favorite games. Played the Xbox version but my do another playthrough in my Switch. That said, will wait until it releases and if it is getting good reviews and feedback from users, I'll buy it.
@Cheez I agree. The Xbox controller is the best in this scenario as I always have another pair of AA batteries charged. With PS5 and Nintendo, I have to use an anker battery if I want to continue playing while it charges…. Not ideal
Still going through the game. Have two temples, 102 shrines and trying to go through some side quests and adventures. Also quite advanced in exploring the depths. Yesterday though, I accidentally fell off exploring the floating Hyrule castle into the nearest chasm and for those that have completed the game, probably know how I found near after, with the challenge that I only completed two temples. After probably 5 hours of trying and dying prevailed, so back to exploring but will do it again following the normal path! That was very hard and stressing, and almost threw my pro controller a few times!
Agree, Quake 1was way more unique in my opinion, but I also have fond memories with it on my PC that could barely run it. I think I have it on my Steam library but I love retro gaming on the Switch (unless it is stuff like Goldeneye that had much better control in Xbox)
@h15c0r3r It's looking to be very strong for fall releases. I'm looking forward to all of the 3 big exclusives: Starfield, Mario and Spider-man 2 while will also be getting Mortal Kombat 1 day one (for xbox or PS5,m though) and maybe AC Mirage. Add that to Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Metroid Prime Remaster, Jedi Survivor, Dead Space remake, Diablo IV, Final Fantasy 16 and it is looking to be an extremely strong year for gaming all around.
@Jamies Well some of us enjoy different things. I enjoy the exploration and puzzle solving, hate inventory management. This took care of that part for me.
@Matroska the y+ b seems to require precise timing, however the bid advantage is that you don’t need to move the item to last place in the inventory, allowing you to obtain higher quantities. Will try tomorrow.
I don’t think Homelander or Omni-man have anything to do with Max. They’ve had guest characters since 9. Yes, most of them from other WB properties as those are easier to get the rights for, but not all of them.
They are well received by fans as well…(although I personally would prefer they to add more characters from the actual MK universe instead of so many guests)
@Cashews I’m sure Capcom already has a DLC roadmap laid out. That’s how it works, they may adjust due to feedback (For example, that’s how MK11 got Mileena), but for the most part they all have it planned
If nothing next, at least give us Galaxy 2 this year....I never played it before, would love to try it given its reputation and how much I enjoyed Galaxy 1
@B3RTAY so what if it is 20 years or 5 days ago. You’re playing the work product of that I original team, they all should be credited just like any other game.

Re: Whoops, It Looks Like Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection's Release Date Has Leaked Early
Day 1 purchase for me. Loved these games.

Re: Review: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Sublime Sequel, Now Sublimer
I restarted BOTW and loving it even more. The upgrade is gorgeous, 60 fps is massive and really enjoy getting lost in it. 10/10 for me.
Re: Hardware Review (In Progress): Nintendo Switch 2 - A Faster, Slicker, Sexier Switch

Re: Rare's N64 Shooter 'GoldenEye 007' Officially Inducted Into The Video Game Hall Of Fame
Good. Goldeneye and Quake are definitely my favorites on the list, and the ones I thought had the biggest impact.

This year I only bought echoes of wisdom. So guess that’s mine, by default.
Re: DOOM Is Getting A New And Improved Definitive Release On Super Nintendo
The most random release ever. But yeah SNES DOOM was quite bad if you were used to the PC version. Curious about this one.

@SBandy1 never spend one dollar extra on MK11 don’t see anything here that would indicate it would be different.
Re: Video: Mortal Kombat 1 Graphics Comparison Reveals Switch Performance & Resolution
Enjoying it on Xbox Series X, not planning to come anywhere close to the Switch version to be honest.
Re: New Interview With Zelda Boss Suggests There Are No Plans For TOTK DLC

@WoomyNNYes YES!!!!! I am not even using the duplication glitches much anymore, but refuse to upgrade!

Good I preordered in Amazon Mexico like 6 months ago or something, so should get the previous price regardless.
