Re: 50 Best Super Nintendo (SNES) Games Of All Time

3 versions of Street Fighter 2 but not Mortal Kombat 2? It’s OK to prefer one, but can’t ignore the other’s legacy and impact. I personally would rather play MK2 or UMK3 over any Street Fighter 2, but can’t deny it’s greatness.

@Blast16 when was that? Fighting games have been releasing upgraded versions of the same game for ages. You may have forgotten the multiple iterations of Street Fighter II, or Mortal Kombat 3, which was upgraded to UMK3 and then to Trilogy. And back then, you couldn’t even just buy the new content, you had to buy the whole game again. Not saying in supportive, but it’s been this way in fighting games for ages.

I wonder if the strategy here is to approach 3rd party publishers and ask them to get their games on Switch, even offering to take on porting duties, in exchange for xx% cut of total sales. Could be interesting if this helps get more traction for devs that wouldn’t usually release games for Nintendo systems.

I think it will be Starfield, Baldur's Gate 3 or Tears of the Kingdom. I enjoyed Final Fantasy 16, Diablo IV, Jedi: Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy a lot, but I don't think they are quite at the same level at the others - unlike others, I actually think that Starfield will meet its expectations, we'll see.

I don't think Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, or Metroid Prime have a chance. While the three were great and I also enjoyed them a lot, I don't think they would go with a remake or remaster, as great as the 3 of them were.

Still going through the game. Have two temples, 102 shrines and trying to go through some side quests and adventures. Also quite advanced in exploring the depths. Yesterday though, I accidentally fell off exploring the floating Hyrule castle into the nearest chasm and for those that have completed the game, probably know how I found near after, with the challenge that I only completed two temples. After probably 5 hours of trying and dying prevailed, so back to exploring but will do it again following the normal path! That was very hard and stressing, and almost threw my pro controller a few times!

Agree, Quake 1was way more unique in my opinion, but I also have fond memories with it on my PC that could barely run it. I think I have it on my Steam library but I love retro gaming on the Switch (unless it is stuff like Goldeneye that had much better control in Xbox)

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?

@h15c0r3r It's looking to be very strong for fall releases. I'm looking forward to all of the 3 big exclusives: Starfield, Mario and Spider-man 2 while will also be getting Mortal Kombat 1 day one (for xbox or PS5,m though) and maybe AC Mirage. Add that to Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Metroid Prime Remaster, Jedi Survivor, Dead Space remake, Diablo IV, Final Fantasy 16 and it is looking to be an extremely strong year for gaming all around.

I don’t think Homelander or Omni-man have anything to do with Max. They’ve had guest characters since 9. Yes, most of them from other WB properties as those are easier to get the rights for, but not all of them.

They are well received by fans as well…(although I personally would prefer they to add more characters from the actual MK universe instead of so many guests)
