Anyone else remember when Angry Video Game Nerd made a video on Terminator games on the NES/SNES? Hopefully they learned from their mistakes and this won't be a heap of *****.

I don't get why this game is making such a big deal of itself. It's a Metroidvania indie game, it's not the next big Mario or Pokémon. People aren't gonna fly halfway across the world just to try the game out for a little bit.

A lot of complacent Nintendo shills in this thread. What happened to Nintendo being the affordable option in the console wars? The increased power doesn't justify a 50% price increase over the Switch when it's still not even close to being as powerful as the PS5 and Xbox Series S while being around the same price as them.

I'm super excited for this but left feeling a bit underwhelmed by a lack of a release date nor MP2 and MP3 remasters.

Wishlist from most realistic to least:
1. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond trailer.
2. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes Remastered and Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Remastered announced and trailer.
3. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes Remastered shadowdropped after direct.
4. New Donkey Kong Country made by Retro Studies announced and trailer.
5. New 2D Metroid made by MercurySteam announced and trailer.
6. New Wario Land game made by WayForward announced and trailer.
7. Donkey Kong Country Rare trilogy 2D HD Remaster announced and trailer.

I quit this game earlier this week. There is so little substance and depth to it that no amount of free cards is going to get me to come back.

I've been waiting two and a half years for this. FINALLY!!

I like the games for what they were and the new features they brought to the series, but I believe it could've actually deserved the sales if they had an extra year to develop the game.

Still playing but ran out of things to do. I completed all solo content and all optional missions. They're dripping feeding me the two packs per day now. I will stay around but will delete the app if they don't give me much of a reason to return soon. I'm still F2P btw.

Does anyone know how I was able to get a 3 star Pikachu ex as the first card in one of my packs? I thought only the fourth and fifth cards had a chance for anything more rare than a 2 diamond card.

@Gaymer90 Every Misty player I faced today got Tails on their first flip. Today's been a good day so far.

I'm rocking a Fire deck with Moltres ex, Arcanine ex, and Centiskorch and it's fairing well for me so far.

I wish this game had more of an incentive to do battles because the game barely even mentions them.

After the amount I spent on Hearsthstone in the past, I'm going F2P this time around. I think this will make it a more meaningful and fun experience for me.

@The_Blue_Mage You don't have to worry, every TCG/CCG has financially irresponsible players called whales who will be making up 95% of all purchases across all users. The average free-to-play Joe not spending a dime will not hurt their bottom line when the whales exist.

@Grim You get what you pay for, in this case, nothing.

Tried to search music for Mario and Luigi Dream Team and was disappointed to find there wasn't any yet. You would think they would just dump all their music onto the app but they're going to drip feed it to us instead.

Donkey Kong Country on SNES versus GBA: just make everything more saturated.

I'm playing the entire series for the first time since July in preparation for this game. I hope I can beat all five games before this game's release. I'm about halfway through Dream Team now.

BTW, Dream Team with x2 resolution on my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro looks STUNNING, about as good as Brothership looks in these trailers!

Suddenly, I have interest in this game.

This looks more like any 2D Mario game than specifically like SMB3. I think it's just supposed to be "Mario-like" in spirit.

I'm not a fan of how generic the characters and enemies are in this game. Reminds me of the one quote from Angry Video Game Nerd reviewing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide where he complained about all the enemies being generic spiders, bats, and snakes.

@Ruler-Of-All-Evil I'd be totally fine with Midbus returning. Only thing is it won't make sense unless he tries to get his revenge against Bowser who would have to be playable or at the very least a major protagonist in the game again.

Bring back Fawful and/or Midbus!

Considering I already wear my Apple Watch at night to track my sleep, I may start doing this now.

@BodkinDQ As far as I'm concerned, Tropical Freeze not only IS Country, but it outdoes the classic trilogy as well.

@sunny63 I'm currently playing right now, almost done, too. This is my first time playing the series in anticipation of the new game and so far BiS is my favorite without question!

Looks interesting and could reignite that mobile CCG interest I have since I quit Hearthstone.

My question is what happens when you get a ton of duplicate cards from booster packs? Do they get repurposed into some kind currency or are they just wasted cardboard just like in real life?

Donkey Kong Country series is peak gaming, change my mind.

@batmanbud2 this is how I used to think before, but there is really not much of a difference between emulating on something like a 3DS compared to a dedicated emulation device. At the end of the day, both have a CPU, memory, a motherboard, external storage, and a shell to cover it all together. The difference is one is made by Nintendo and one isn't.

The reason why I enjoy using mine is because I want to play all my favorite retro games without having to either wait for it to release on the Nintendo Switch online service or dig out my old console and play it on there. With my emulation device, I have the convenience of playing all everything from NES to N64, GB to DS, and playstation 1 to PSP all on a single device. No more purchasing carts or discs for a single game, no more reason to have dozens of consoles to play different games. Everything you will ever want is on a single $50 device.

@batmanbud2 every retro game Nintendo puts on it's online service is being emulated on the Switch. By your logic, none of the NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC, and GBA titles are "real gaming" then.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with this drip-feed of retro titles from Nintendo when I can just use my handheld emulation device and play thousands of games I install myself on-demand.

If they don't release Metroid Prime 4 on the Switch then they will have pulled off the biggest bait and switch in the history of gaming.

I expect this from Activision. They only care for their bottom line and that's it.

I'm actually enjoying Reboot Camp a lot. It's my first Advance Wars game so I have no opinion on how good it is compared to previous games but I find it very good and fun. Lack of online multiplayer isn't an issue for me since I play local multiplayer with my friends. The "toy-like" aesthetic of the units doesn't bother me and actually looks fine. Game is very engaging, challenging, and fun and I'm wishing they would release Dual Strike as DLC but I can see that won't happen which is a shame. At least I can play that on my Miyoo Mini Plus!
