Re: Mother Creator On Third Game's Localisation: "Please Talk To Nintendo About That"

Blue_Dread

Why are there so many users here gaslighting others into thinking they're the problem for wanting a game only released in Japan? Emulation isn't easily accessible to everyone and is illegal. It is Nintendo's right to release a game in a region or not but telling people to quit complaining and just play the game illegally isn't right either.

I'm under the impression Nintendo completed the English translation of it decades ago and are just sitting on it now for the "right moment". They know full well the amount of people who wish to play the translated port authentically but they still refuse to give it up which is what's really messed up.

Re: Monster Hunter Series Producer Shares New Year's Message Ahead Of 20th Anniversary

Reflecting on my own MH journey here, I started with MH3U on the 3DS with my brother also getting a copy. We played that game to death back in the day and did many hunts together. Those were some of my happiest gaming memories playing the game with him and MH3U will always have a special place in my heart for getting me into the series despite the terrible water gimmick.

After that, I delved into MH4U while my brother played MHG.I believe I beat the main story of MH4U and got up to about G rank but I'm not 100% sure. I enjoyed MH4U for the new 3D layer of gameplay and being able to play online but it wasn't quite the same without playing together with my brother. He completed MHG as well but said it was too easy and the new mechanics broke the game.

After beating MH4U, I took a hiatus from the series while my brother played MHW. I didn't really want to play that game for a while because it looked too different from what I was used to to get into it, plus, I grew tired of the series at the time so I didn't have much interest. My brother managed to beat the entire game and even get far into the Iceborne expansion. There was one point where I created a file for myself but I never played it too seriously and gave up after a couple plays.

A year after the release of MHR I ended my hiatus and came back to play that game on the Switch. I really enjoyed the game but I also didn't get that far into it, probably because my attention was being taken by other releases at the time. I really enjoyed the game and I may just pick it up again sometime soon. I think the thing that really drew me to the series was being able to play with my brother because playing MH3U was still some of my favorite gaming memories I have. I think if we both were to get the game and play it together I would be far more incentivized to return.

All in all, Monster Hunter is one of my favorite series that I've played and have many fond memories of playing it, especially with my brother. I may be interested in Wilds in the future but I would really like to pick up where I left off in MHR before I move on to the next game. Anyways, happy birthday, Monster Hunter!

Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Is Officially The "Fastest-Selling" Super Mario Title Ever

Please add more bosses to this game! Facing Bowser Jr. four times was fine because the battles were very fun and creative, but it seriously feels like a step down from the previous 2D Mario games which also had the Koopalings and Kamek. Worlds 3 and 5 have no boss at all, they could've broken the Bowser Jr. trend and had new bosses like facing Master Poplin at the end of World 3 or a cave monster holding the miner Poplins hostage at the bottom of World 5.

Adding DLC to the game like including new bosses or even new levels would be amazing and would bring this game up from a 9/10 to a 10/10 for me. I would pay just to have this be the perfect Mario game, seriously.

Re: Talking Point: What's The Most Difficult Mainline Mario Game?

Blue_Dread

@HeadPirate ah yes, Lost Levels the "real" sequel that was effectively a DLC to the original game and only originally released in one country...

Meanwhile, Super Mario Bros 2 which actually innovated on the original and brought staples to the series like Shy Guys, Bob-ombs, Pokeys, etc is just a cheap knockoff and not a real sequel, right?

Re: Factorio Is Getting A $5 Price Increase "To Account For Inflation"

Remember when public transit companies would increase their fares to compensate for revenue lost to cars but then they end up losing even more riders because of the fare increase? It's like they don't understand that increasing price also decreases demand and DOES NOT improve the revenue but has the opposite effect.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Will Receive Ver.1.2 Update Next Month

People in the comments are really way too sensitive to the glitches and frame rate issues in the game. I'm playing it and I hardly notice and dips in frame rate and when it does happen it doesn't bother me much. Also, the glitches are annoying such as damage not counting raids and Pokemon walking inside walls but they don't take away from the experience too much.

That all said, I still really hope they fix all of the issues because I am really enjoying the game and would love if I could play it without these issues.

I bought the game and I have been thoroughly enjoying it so far. I actually didn't even know that the game had serious performance issues until I read a review today. I've felt a few of them myself while playing but nothing even came close to ruining my experience of the game. I really hope Game Freak patches all of the bugs because I really think this is a great new and innovative entry to the series and deserves the revenue it brought in.
