This game went from a 5/10 to much higher once I modded it to always show you on the map (seriously using up a precious slot for something that should just...be? so dumb.) and to allow teleports between benches. Im too old and have too many other games to play to be abusing myself with "oh ill just redo this entire 10 minutes for the fifth time because one stupid flying bug touched me". I dont feel as if im cheating, I simply making the game the way I feel it should have been, without artificial difficulty crap like horrible save point locations.
@NeonPizza No Gyro no buyo was one of the main reasons I got myself an Ally after falling in love with gyro on my Switch. Being able to set gyro to function as right stick aiming on ANY game and tweak it to perfection has been a total experience changer like nothing else in my decades of playing.
The problem is the activists posing as gamers in the industry that often just translate things wrong, censor words or situations, or remove things they don't like, etc etc, instead of just doing what they're supposed to and...just translate
I dont know how ive never (to my recollection) played any of these because I even have memories of looking at the game cases back in Blockbuster. I like horror well enough and Asian chicks so im baffled why none of them click for me when I look at them.
Well after recently installing Tunic and Animal Well, and being thoroughly disappointed in both, I think its safe to say I wont enjoy this either.
No help is fine if the world's are built well, but when you've re-entered the same room for the 50th and still are lost, it loses its charm and becomes annoying.
Also Lol at the people crying about 30fps in a game where frames dont matter in the least.
Just had stumbled on this on Steam and had no idea they were even remastering it. Definitely looks nice with the new coat of paint but I only have very vague memories of playing the original, so im guessing it didnt leave much of an impression with me.
Everyone seems quite pleased at least for whenever it makes its way to Switch.
I think I played the first one on my phone for a bit and liked the concept but didn't really click with me, not sure why, maybe felt a little bland and underpolished presentation wise. Definitely has a loop thats great for handhelds.
Might give this one a go on my Ally since ive been playing Dredge and im kinda feeling the buying and selling gimmick lately.
"Unfortunately, the Switch 2 version does not make any effort to iron out these kinks."
Do you not know how games work? Do you really think they were going to go deep under the hood and battle their spaghetti coding for their 735th port? 🤣
And thus why Emulation is better. No modern stupidity treating adults like babies.
At least substituting lowercase L with I still works if you want to be named after a famous painter.
@Nep-Nep-Freak Port lol..no it's 500kb emulator and a 1mb rom file.
I'm just kind of amazed I've never even heard of or seen this game once before to my knowledge. Sure, I wasn't into Pokemon games in the GC era anymore and didn't own one outside of Wii backwards compatibility, but still.
Never watched the show back in the day but I had a Beastman action figure that had like this wooly velvety fur texture that would rub off after lots of use and he ended up looking like a badly aging dog with bald spots all over...
@Yosher No but CKY's Skeletor/Beastman music video comes to mind whenever I think of He-man..and believe me, thats worse (or better if you like crude stuff like me).
No idea why anyone would play it on anything but mobile. The perfect game to whip out whenever, on a device you already had with you regardless. A mouse? Nah man, sliding them cards around with your finger is peak Balatro.
Amazing that they still pump these out. What's this, number 12 or so? Guess its not as bad as them slopping out three Silent Hill games back to back.
I sure miss when every new game coming out had the potential to become its own franchise..now...its a corporate loop of more of the same stuff and see how many sequels they can make.
Plays like a champ on my Ally with all the bells and whistles to max.
Kind of odd they even put it on Switch since they're back to being censorship queens again. Oh right violence and graphic words are fine, its just nips that are evil and God frowns upon.
Really hurts my soul how they've totally butchered the Zelda games into generic open world slop that has totally lost the plot of what makes a Zelda game.
Yeah I think the version with the ability to randomize and all the other bells and whistles that exists as a 1mb rom will do just fine. Lol they actually priced this 30 year old basic port the same as Silksong. 🤣🤣
They've made it so there's absolutely no reason to go for a one console locked system at the same price as a handheld PC that lets you do..whatever you please with it.
Indies are the future of the industry as AAA fails more and more, and you just dont get the real indie experience on a console.
People dont actually expect them to put these games on a cart right? All what, 1.1mb of data? 🤣
A shame that since they're using emulation for older games that they don't include stuff us who emulate take full advantage of, like randomizer runs, which is really the only way to play these old games and get any excitement out of it. (you can only live on recycled nostalgia for so long)
I played in on mobile awhile back (its fully f2p on there with IAP purchases for the characters and I think you can unlock 2 besides the starter from just playing and has controller support), the combat and upgrades are cool but the lack of any enemy variety had me zoning out and losing interest after the couple hour mark.
Wonder what frame count it will actually hit since that's just the maximum possible for it now. It did play surprisingly well on OG Switch, I never had an issues back in the day so should be fine. Definitely not a game that requires anything above 30 really though.

You have enough plastic in your bloodstream people.
Re: Feature: Thank You, Mum, For The Last Ocarina Of Time
This chump didn't even get the golden cartridge. And you call yourself a fan.
Jokes aside, I still vividly remember the pain of school that day knowing my ride home was also a ride to the store for my copy. Longest day ever.
