Scyther. I used to always catch praying mantis and try and feed them bugs as a kid before the modern world all but erased them. Such amazing little things.
Man, timezones are lame. Every morning I'd get to catch about the first 2 to 3 minutes of every new episode before I had to go to school. But, thanks to that fancy VHS recording technology, I was able to come home and finish it off after going to school and looking for the newest super secret Pokemon Red secret way to find Mew on GameFaqs.
I became a young troll then when I started printing out my own really complicated made-up instructions on ways to get the little floating feline and pass them out to my friends...only to grin a little when they reported their 2 hours was for nothing.
@Flashlink99 Ah I see, its been a minute since I did a playthrough and forgot it gets more direct with the directions fi you're stumped. Definitely not as cool as physically switching it though.
Then again, I miss popping in disc 2 of a Final Fantasy game and feeling that sense of accomplishment as you put that shiny unused disc on for the first time.
I was playing some Angry Birds 2 or whatever the new one is for one of those play-mobile-games for gift card apps that ive been using for a couple years and yeah it was too on your face with the microtransactions to be enjoyable. It also kinda didn't feel like it had the same charm to it. Oh well I earned my dollar from them.
I could see an indie roguelite using that formula and being a hit though.
Ive never even thought about it before but how does any system handle original MGS where you have to unplug your controller to beat psycho mantis? dont all systems pause the game to pop up a notification telling you to charge it?
While I lost countless hours to D2 back in the day, Path of Exile's near limitless class building through dropped gems is just way more interesting to me than min-maxing diablo builds at this point. Was one of the main reasons I got my Ally since that kind of mindless slaying is great for handheld.
I love roguelites and have played them in about every genre but for some reason this doesnt seem appealing to me at all, even if the idea sort of does.
You know the world's upside down when pokemon are paring with an openly Satan worshipping chick (she says 'thank Lucifer' where normal people say God), who hangs out with the elite peoples who names are all over the files, or worse (Marina Abramovic).
Big L Pokemon, big L. Watch who your kids idolize, parents.
Well after upgrading from a Switch to a ROG Ally ive installed 49 new games, ill spare you the list.
Im really hyped for the new Overwatch rebrand/new season though. FIVE new heros dropping at once?! And one is a JETPACK CAT?! Awww yeah that's gonna be fun.
Lol im sure this will do as good as their new show with the weird 50' year old captain sitting in the chair like a moody teen. Oh and dont forget the....hahaha...the...frigging prideful Klingon. Hahaha. 🤣
Looks pretty good, but ive got other stuff on my plate.
Bro wrote three paragraphs to brag to strangers about his set up that is unrelated to this website and got one whole like lol. (ppssstt that's what friends are for)
Never been into the DQ games, too kiddy for my tastes and this looks pretty generic.
I must say, its cool they removed the blind random encounters in most of these remakes. I almost mentally blocked out the trauma of walking 3 steps into another battle the years of old-school RPGs gave me, but playing the Star Ocean 2 R, really made me appreciate being able to decide when I battle.
Because devs dont need to do much of anything to "port" their PC games to a Steamdeck, so they dont consider it as a priority when in most cases, no work even needs be done for it to just work on a Deck or Ally.
The game runs fine on a Switch now, they never add any sort f meaningful updates to the game so its not like they're adding something amazing that would be too much for it to handle.
Lazy devs, plain and simple. Oh and if you switch from your console to a PC (love my ROG Ally, such a beast compared to S2) like I did, they lock all your premium currencies to your console. All my meaningless scrap carried over, my premium currency? Gone. FEA.
Its pretty amusing seeing all the people here who think Nintendo has the weight to go against the AI tech bro giants. They dont.
Nintendo is a tiny little rainbow colored guppy in the world when dealing with the bloated whales behind AI, who trade $50 billion of money back and forth to "invest" in it on a whim. Their ninjas haven't tried going against a leviathan, just normal people they use lawfare against and can intimidate. They have no chance against the forces pushing AI.

I dunno man, its a lot of work and cost just for nostalgia since you aren't missing out on any real bangers of games if you never played it.

I never have even heard of these things ever until now.
Also, whoa, did I actually just see a hardcore Nintendo fan actually complain about their ridiculous prices on cheap plastic products?!
I never thought I'd see the day when common sense finally beat out blind fanboyism.

Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
Really makes no sense when their eshop is riddled with shovelware hentai slop.
They aren't manually reviewing their games like they claim., as long as they get their cut.
Oh well, adults have better systems to play it on anyway.
And please Spider-guy, learn to use the edit function.
