I'm hearing it's because they are moving resources to the Switch version of GTA6 so it launches close to the other versions

@ThatZeldaNerd why? What did they do now? Zelda isn't ready to be shown. 3rd parties really want to support switch 2 and for switch 2 to be a success it needs them.

I think it's safe to assume all games are key card unless otherwise specified. No need for it in the title every time. It's kind of annoying

They should have just used regular SD cards and allowed them to be installed on the system. SD cards are cheap. I don't care if it's running the game off the card, that makes no difference to me.

@HugoGED either way it's just a game saved to a piece of storage. Wether it's housed in it's own little piece of plastic or the plastic of the system itself. If I lose the card I lose the game. If I lose the switch and buy a new one I can still download the game again for free.

@DTfearTheBEARD it doesn't run at 60fps on Steamdeck. What you talkin' bout? Unless you drop everything to the lowest settings maybe? What you're seeing is the 30fps vsync bug

@Grim yes it uses a game key card which is just a digital download. The person I was responding to wanted a real physical on the cart version. But the carts Nintendo is using run at half the speed of the internal memory. That's why Ubisoft did Star Wars Outlaws as digital only, the carts are too slow for asset streaming. The physical carts are NOT SD Express. They run at 400mbs, express is 800+ and the internal NVME storage is even faster.

@tonyp1987 I doubt it. Game key cards are significantly slower than the system memory or SD express. I've bought 2 physical games and now I'm done with it.
