@anoyonmus there's really nothing to suggest that at this point, we only have the reference to terminator and that it's two dimensional

As I get older I enjoy more the thought of my young relatives hearing about these "old" games for the first time and having the chance to play them

@Axecon as soon as any title is put in a double pack its value drops right off, from Nintendo's POV

Yes, as gamers we would like double packs, but Nintendo are very very careful with releasing any games in packs for this reason. Pikmin 1 and 2 is about the most recent set of games that fulfill the double pack criteria I think

Look at not including Mario galaxy 2 in 3d all stars.

Same reason we won't get any 3d Zeldas in a compilation... Most I could ever see is Zelda 1, 2 and link to the past as a Zelda collection

Look at the new play control series for Wii that re-released GameCube games, and the re-release of that DS Mario and Luigi game on 3ds...

Point being, I'm expecting various "deluxe" versions of switch games

Being unfamiliar with the series, I always assumed "double exposure" was a compilation of two games in the series or a remaster... Perhaps not the best title for a standalone game?

Knowing the critical acclaim for the first Prime (and it being the first) Nintendo likely went ahead with just remastering that, seeing what sales were like, then maybe starting on remastering two and three

I feel Pikmin 1 and 2 are slightly different because they're somewhat smaller games, and Pikmin 2 was late in the life of the GameCube so people would have been less exposed to it than the Metroid sequels

Sure, Nintendo might be remastering 2 and 3 (and mark my words they'll release separately) but perhaps digital only, and with less fanfare than number 1

Anyone else think cadence of Hyrule was really well made but just a slog?

Cost of living crisis will mean people aren't going to buy anywhere near the same number of consoles as original switch

For people complaining that DLC shouldn't be included: why?

I imagine people are going to say "it needs to be a full game to win" etc etc but... Why? I personally loved the DLC of both Breath of the Wild and Rayman Kingdom battle much more than the base games and would award those ahead of their base games

I remember playing 2 then going back to 1 and finding it boring, so perhaps 2 does do a bit in the innovation department

@KoopaTheGamer I have to disagree. It's like a CGI company doing a really bad job on a film, then having to call in someone else to fix it. If the original was really bad it's totally justified to remove the original company's name

@MjJmediablogger no way they'll announce in March for a holiday release. Latest release for switch 2 will be July - they'll want it announced and available quickly to reduce the drop off in switch sales and get people on to the new console as soon as they hear about it

I think announcing in January would put off a lot of parents, they've just bought a console for their children for Christmas and Nintendo announce another?

A good feature. I'm sure certain games have e.g. "Ganon returns" or "dry bones Bowser" as songs, which would spoil a game if I hadn't played it

Similar to echoes of wisdom, with an open world, you need to put a limit on resources to discourage player progression in more difficult areas

For a returning player and new players, wouldn't you want a hint at what enemies you'll be facing?

My guess is that:

• Ubisoft wanted to release on a Friday,
• there's a term that's offensive in the UK (which would be the version used for Australia/NZ) that was noticed at the last minute

There's no connection between the rating bodies in these countries and I've previously heard that while Australia/NZ essentially uses the European eshop, it's not impossible to have a game that is Europe only
