I really enjoyed it, the new retro soundtrack is awesome and adds all the songs from the arcade versions that weren't in the original versions. I noticed that sometimes the achievements I got weren't marked as completed and required a few more attempts.
Windswept is an excellent game, highly recommended for any DKC fan. I was a bit disappointed with City Hunter, however: it's very expensive and the extra content isn't very interesting. Even for a PC Engine game, it's mediocre, with few similar levels and few enemies. In my opinion, it lacks the anime style. Ok they put Get Wild but it's not worth the €25.
I bought the Heart of Darkness bundle with the two Legacy of Kain games, Defiance and Ascendance, but they're not on the list. Despite the criticism, Ascendance isn't that bad; I expected it to be worse. I'm enjoying it, even if it's not a masterpiece, it's not bad.
Some DLCs, like the Digital Downgrade, were already available on Switch, but I think they'll have to be purchased again. There's no discount on DLC either; it seems like an expensive upgrade. I'm waiting for more discount.
I was pleasantly surprised by this collection, which is much more carefully crafted than other collections from the same publisher. It includes scans of the console game manuals and boxes, original artwork, options to enable cheats in some games, and a choice of different versions for some games, such as Japanese/American, 2- or 4-player, and so on. It also includes online multiplayer for the X-Men arcade game. In my opinion, it's an excellent package worth the price, but I understand that ratings for individual games depend on personal taste.
I'm playing Rotwood this weekend too, there's an endgame to complete. I bought it the day of the indie direct and have been playing it every day since, great game.
I rarely play online and have only tried it once. I see my kids still using WhatsApp when they play online, as they have for years. Perhaps the problem is that game chat arrived late, with gamers now habitually using other clients, like Discord, for example. I would have used the icon with the speech bubble, I prefer it to the C.
@SillyG I asked this question on the Digital Eclipse Discord server, and they confirmed that the only differences are graphical upgrades in the Switch 2 for the menus. Also, from what they told me, buying one digital version will also get the other, even if the saves aren't compatible.
I played it a while ago on PC and it's a masterpiece for RPG lovers. The only problem for me was that it's only available in English, which isn't my native language. There's a lot to read, and the lack of my native language made the game a bit tiring.
I haven't decided yet, but for €20 I would have preferred a single collection with both games in multiple languages, with online multiplayer. In short, something that justified this price.
Interesting, I bought the Switch version for €20 and now with another €2.50 I could upgrade. For a total of €22.50 I'll get the Switch 2 version, which costs €17. I don't find it fun.
The Switch 2 edition hasn't been released on the European eshop yet, but the Switch game has been updated. Maybe they've added something to the Switch version too, I don't know. If the upgrade only costs €2 or €3, I might get it.
Console Archives is great news for all retro gaming enthusiasts. Starting next week, Ninja Gaiden 2 will be playable on PS5, where NSO isn't available. On Switch 2, we have a game that was previously exclusive to Sony platforms. It's nice to have more options. I picked up Ninja Gaiden 2 both because I prefer having the game in my digital library rather than tied to a subscription, and because I find Hamster's offerings richer in options.
I wanted to buy it, but next week's game is Space Invaders Part II / Deluxe, so I think I'll spend my €8 on that. However, the second game is an update of the first with a few changes; they could have included both in the 500 release rather than doing two separate releases.
@The_Nintendo_Expat Yes, a Ubisoft account is required, even if it's useless there are no achievements or rewards to earn. To play without a Ubisoft account, you must put your console in offline mode.
A great game, about 20 hours to complete, and a lot of fun. The developers have announced new content coming next year. The only downside is that Ubisoft put the game on sale for 33% off just few hours after release. And I had already bought it at full price, but it's worth the price I paid.
For those who own both Switch 1 and 2: I bought the Switch 2 version, I can download the Switch 1 version for free from the eShop with a 100% discount! Nice.
Interesting game, perhaps a little expensive, but in the end I won't resist and I'll buy it. I loved The Terminator on the Mega Drive; it was faithful to the movie. The only flaw was that it was very short, only four levels if I remember correctly. I was disappointed because I finished the expensive cartridge in an afternoon, but it was good even if it was short.
I have the Skyrim Anniversary Edition for Switch 1 and can download the Switch 2 edition for free from the eShop. It doesn't look like an upgrade pack, but rather a new version to download for free. Maybe it's possible to have two editions on two different consoles, I'll try.
Edit: I confirm, they are two different virtual game cards!
I wanted to play Metroid 4, pre-ordered months ago on the Nintendo Store, but the shipment is lost somewhere in space-time and I have to wait. Luckily I can play Blood ... again
@Serpenterror I don't think so. The PS4 version has graphical effects that the Switch 2 version lacks; look at Lara's hair for a comparison. I think it's still the PS3 version, with a more stable frame rate and higher resolution.
An excellent port of a great game. The only downside is that there are two different versions for Switch 1 and Switch 2, with no upgrade option. And the Switch 2 version seems to be identical to the Switch version, aside from the boost in resolution and FPS. Too bad.
@ROMhaiku I like having all my digital games installed. For Switch 1, I bought two SD cards for a total of 1.5 TB. I already got a 256 GB SD Express for Switch 2. I prefer changing SD cards rather than downloading games from servers; it's more convenient for me.
Great news, I'm really looking forward to this game. Plus, the generation pack is a great value, but it's a shame it doesn't include the deluxe version of Requiem. I hope there's a future option to upgrade to the deluxe version, but there isn't one right now
I'm curious to know what the differences are between the two versions. If there are no differences, I'd get the Switch version so I can use it on both consoles. However, publishers could write on the eShop what changes when a game is available for both consoles. Both versions weigh 27 GB.
I'm going against the grain, but I really enjoyed it and played about 40 hours to complete all the extra modes. The combat system is very solid and well-crafted, but I understand that the aesthetic might not be to everyone's taste. It's a shame the online mode has no players; in two weeks, I've only managed to play two matches, and in one of them, it crashed at the last level (with no option to rejoin the game, ugh). I'd give it an 8/10 for me.
Honestly, this reason—the slow reading speed of the game cards—isn't convincing to me. If that were the problem, it would be enough to always have the entire game on the card, but with partial or total installation required on the console's internal memory...maybe I'm too doubtful, but it didn't convince me.
I would have liked it if they'd sold a Virtual Boy replica with the games included, given the limited catalog available. I probably would have also paid a higher price for a specific collectible. But right now, it's tied to the subscription; if I decide not to renew it or get the basic subscription in the future, I'd just end up with a useless and expensive piece of plastic.
More difficult than the first game, but if I persist, I can manage the difficulty. However, I think all games should have an assist mode that allows the player to customize the game if they find it too difficult. I don't think it would take much to implement, and it would always remain the default mode designed by the authors for those who can handle it.
I expect there to be cross-play with other platforms as well. Otherwise, I think FUT mode, and therefore 80% of the game, is probably useless. That's my opinion, obviously.
It's a fantastic game, taking about 8 hours to complete 100%. The game world is quite small, and there's absolutely no need for a map; I think that would have made the game too easy. Also, in the larger levels, once you reach the end, you're back to the beginning; it's impossible to get lost.
@The_Trooper49 They work great, with rewind, assist mode, and online leaderboards. Some games allow to choose between different versions—Japan, USA, etc.—plus, each collection takes up about 70 MB in microSD card, less than 10 MB per game!
A really great package! The only downside right now is the mod support; there are only two maps available, compared to the dozens available on other platforms. I hope they add more curated mods. But why doesn't Nintendo allow users to upload their own mods? 😞
They haven't revealed the most important information: whether the Switch 2 will have cross-play with other consoles. That would be a step forward; right now, FUT on Switch is very limited.

Re: All Delisted Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 Games Missing From The eShop
I think there are two other Live Wire shmup games that have been delisted from eShop besides Mushi. They should be Esp 2 and Dodonpachi Res.
