Again, if a KH remaster was in the works for Switch my hype for all other releases would increase tenfold. Hearing this is "the one other Tetsuya Nomura game on Switch" kind of kills the hype for an otherwise perfect announcement.
On one hand, I loved the original and I'm glad there's a sequel (also, Minamimoto returns, he's this game's Axel).
On the other, it's the final nail on the coffin for the Kingdom Hearts ports for Switch, I guess.
Also also, this should get Atlus their $#it in check for a Persona 5 port, as the "urban JRPG with cell-shaded graphics" one is no longer uncharted territory for the sequel.
It's a win-win scenario, really. The 35th Mario anniversary "just happened" to take place in the same time frame as the next-gen competitors' debut, with the doors closing on 3D All-Stars and SMB 35 next april; by then, good ol' Big N will have enough big guns to make the consumers look beyond the usual power gap excuse. Will next-gen systems sell like hotcakes? Undoubtedly so, but the Switch will take its place back. Wait 'till a Pokémon game with all National Pokédex critters releases on the Switch. Or the next Zelda, for that matter. Or Metroid. The sales will still be stupidly high, because the Switch can.
Please don't be the one Nomura game on Switch. Please don't be the one Nomura game on Switch. Please don't be the one Nomura game on Switch. Please don't be the one Nomura game on Switch. Please don't be the one Nomura game on Switch. Please don't be the one Nomura game on Switch. Please don't be the one Nomura game on Switch.
Hopefully this year Italy won't see the usual misuse of the "Black Friday" name. The day is supposed to get rid of non-Christmas stock, not to slap an undeserved name under a 30% discount.
You had me at "Kurt Busiek". The man's writing is a pleasure to read. You owe yourself to read Marvels, which combines it with art by none other than Alex Ross.
Just for your weekly reminder that I'm not a natural English speaker, I might assume "honkers" is slang for bosoms. In which case, why would Kingdom Hearts ever... feature...
And that way, the Switch's entire appeal would go down the drain, with all the third-party ports by specialists such as Panic Button, Saber Interactive and Feral Interactive and the like being suddenly out of reach because "it's only a handheld".
No thanks Pachter, your wishes for Nintendo to go third-party can wait.
Isn't it a great time to be flat-f#@king-broke? I just wish this kind of discounts happened closer to Christmas, when at least I can ask my parents for help.
Whatever, my definitive version for NSMBU will wait a few months more.
The pro-lockdown measures were too good to be true. Or, more precisely, too good to last. The moment a player contracts COVID and sues Niantic or The Pokémon Company over it, I'll be laughing my backside off.
I was torn between Master Chief for full Microsoft representation and Doom Slayer for FPS representation.
Either one works for both now, and I couldn't be more excited if any shooter makes its way into Smash. Steve singlehandedly raised my hopes for the second Fighters Pass; what with the low-key, borderline lack of notice, I was fearing Smash was jumping on the "you gave us money for a 2018 game, don't expect hype-worthy characters" bandwagon. Boy was I wrong, and boy am I happy to have been!!!
Kirby Fighters Deluxe was something I always condemned as being "too late" to be an appetizer for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, but ended up buying and loving anyway.
I don't care if I own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate already - slap a budget price on it (seven euros will do the trick) and I'll buy it. It'll be a nice workaround for the fact I own Kirby Star Allies in physical format and will never see a drought long enough for me to gather the money needed to get it digital.
Unravel Two is pretty much the only EA game I own on Switch and by the look of things I see little to no reason to extend my support for EA any further.
Super Mario Sunshine can be loved a bit more now that's closer to the Mario elements it wanted so desperately to depart from.
Or it could be just as much of an eyesore and make the other games stand out more. Either way, it's a win-win for Nintendo. Until it sells enough for the Big N to realise it'd be stupid to take the game off the eShop from April onwards, anyway.
It's high time. I've been wanting at least a name for a long while now, and hopefully we can get back to ambitious third-party characters. It's a rumor to be sure, but 1) we'll get all fighters eventually and 2) it's the first information out of the gaming world to give me a smile ever since the Mario direct.
Thank goodness for that. I have time to save up the money to buy the three remaining Mario & Luigi games for my girlfriend - she loved the hell out of Dream Team (or Dream Team Bros., as it's called here), which I initiated her to the series with.
@Damo
Well, if there's a game that represents a "maddening stance on legacy content" that could "drive" users to piracy more than anything in recent memory, look no further than Super Mario "available until April 2021" 3D All Stars itself.
[EDIT: I could get behind the limited availability with Four Swords Anniversary Edition - despite the fact it's objectively the definitive way to play the game for single players - because that one was a freebie. This one is a full-priced game!]
While encouraging as a Nintendo fan, I'm afraid such an early next-gen talk won't bode well with the Switch's supposedly "longer" life cycle. So much for that - here's hoping the system will go out with a bang. Hell, we still don't even know about the remaining Smash DLC fighters yet!

Screw all of this unfortunate context.

Or maybe, perhaps, the Smash community could simply, y'know, adapt and play Ultimate instead. That's, uh, an option.
