Have you ever wanted to live out your dreams as a tofu delivery boy drifting around mountain passes in an AE86, or at least in a car that looks very similar? Well, soon you'll be able to in the upcoming release Absolute Drift.
It's a top-down minimalist driving game where you learn how to "master the art of drifting" across a series of different tracks.
Absolute Drift arrives on Switch on 3rd December. Until then, let us know if this looks like your kind of game in the comments.

After Intertial Drift this game really doesn't appeal to me much, this looks like a mobile game in comparison.
I have this on PS4 and really enjoyed it. Can be frustrating at first but it's quite zen like once you get into a groove.
(Insert Initial D meme here)
Nani?! Kansei Dorifuto?!
No need for me to master the art of drifting.
My JoyCons do that perfectly fine already.
I dig this game's aesthetic but was absolutely terrible at it when I played on it PS4. The controls are cumbersome and could be made to be more intuitive. Or maybe I just suck.
@Liam_Doolan Love the Initial D reference. ๐
Yes. Love drifting.
Especially love it when itโs a simple hold down a button to initiate the drift type game e.g MK8D, CTR, Ashphalt 9.
Not really a fan/good at drifting in racing sims where itโs all to fiddly...
Love the art style!
@westman98 I came here to leave a very similar comment - you beat me to it ๐๐๐๐
Wait, I thought the laws of physics dictate that cars are incapable of drifting unless Eurobeat music is playing in the background?
@Tasuki the fact @Liam_Doolan didnโt just mention the name and instead gave a subtle reference with actual details of the show proves that the writers of NintendoLife are cultured individuals.
Yay! A years old mobile game with naff controls and a single aesthetic! Letโs write a fluff piece!
Jesus wept.
I'd've said puff piece but this โcontentโ is a little low energy for that. Come on NL, sort it out.
Also known as "joy-con simulator"...
Ahh yes. A game for those who have the problems of Joy-Con drift.......... ah-ha very clever I say.
Oh come on, the art of drifting? On the Switch? Now this is just asking for sarcasm.
Nintendo was already a master in the art of drifting... ๐ฉ
Awesome! Been waiting for switch release. Hope it does well so we get Art of Rally.
@PoundShopOrwell let's just ignore the fact it was a PC/console game before the developers released an iOS version. It was never a mobile game!!
@AlexSora89
Drifting is not complete without Super Eurobeat songs like on Initial D.
Like this. ๐
I'm really hoping for art of rally to get a port. That game is awesome.
@JayJ IT IS a mobile game !!! And it`s 3 $ on Android. Wonder, what will be the price on Switch...
@premko1 around the same price as other machines. Currently ยฃ9.49 on PS4 and ยฃ8.99 on Steam. If that's a problem then go ahead and buy the mobile version. The consumer has plenty of choice here.
Nintendo have already mastered the art of drifting....
@kobashi100 Maybe some surprise is on the way...?
@JayJ yeah the joycons are a natural at drifting.! Got beat to that one ๐๐
@westman98 "BA DUM TSS!!"
@JayJ Yeah I agree this looks like a mobile game that you'd find mixed in with all the shovelware on phone app stores.
What a coincidence: Just today I again stumbled across a recommendation for "Initial D" and did some research about that anime, where I can watch it and which games scratch that drift-itch. And only because of that, I get the references in this news, I wouldn't have understand (understood?) yesterday.
Looks silly fun how much does it cost?
@westman98 Well done. XD
I was coming on to post that comment if no-one else did.
Looks more like a relaxing puzzle game than a racing game... I'm interested!
Hmm this game... Hold my tofu...
