Re: Super Mario 3D All-Stars Has Reportedly Leaked Onto The Internet Already

This puts Galaxy 2's absence under a whole new light. On one hand, the fact that Galaxy is emulated makes the reuse of assets in Galaxy 2 (to save space on the overall package) impossible, so the absence is justified. On the other hand, it makes this compilation seem lazy (I used "seem" because of all the HUD/input icon changes, widescreen and whatnot).

Re: Saucy Shoot 'Em Up Waifu Uncovered Gets A Physical Release On Switch This November

So basically the game is going to get an update... but only in physical format. Hm. I understand the physical format is kind of an endangered species at the moment, but physical-only perks might well lend themselves to all kinds of shady shenanigans.

I'm not saying this because of some stupid Rule 34 that can be looked up online, I'm saying this because tomorrow this could happen to a physical-only character for the next Smash, a physical-only mode in the next Mario Kart, or why the hell not, even a physical-only game in Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Just imagine a world where Super Mario Galaxy 2 was only available on game cards.

Re: There Are Currently No Plans To Bring More Kingdom Hearts Games To Switch

@harouhiko
The Switch has broken the barrier between home console gaming and handheld gaming. This is the right time to catch up, so yeah, some older games are the priority. Capcom alone has now made Devil May Cry and the PS2 Mega Man X games portable. Nintendo's own Super Mario 3D All-Stars is giving up a portable version of Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy for the very first time.
This is the time, this is the place.

Re: Crash Team Racing Dev Tells Fans It's Done With Updates (Again), Now Busy With "Some Other Things"

@Luffymcduck
8 Deluxe makes for an all-around snappier experience. Almost instant loading times, better framerate for up to two players (a framerate snob, me... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME, MODERN GAMING?!), and a better handling of character selection (as CTR now officially won't feature a "favorite kart setup" feature). 8 Deluxe has it all.
CTR can still wipe the floor with most other kart racers in the market, however. And the original 1999 release utterly obliterates the "masterpiece" that was Mario Kart 64.

@johnvboy
Appreciated. Though to be fair, only Super Circuit and DS (and, by extension, 8 Deluxe) are among the true greats. The lack of a single player single race mode (AKA "VS mode") utterly ruined the experience for me. I don't want to race CPUs throughout an entire cup - not with the Ambassador release of Super Circuit being right there. Total deal breaker - I have 7 just for the sake of brand loyalty.

Re: Rumour: Super Mario Remasters To Be Announced This Month, But Won't Launch On Mario's 35th

AlexSora89

I believe that this remastered collection - while by no means unwelcome - will royally #uck up whatever "appeal" Nintendo is gunning for when it comes to Nintendo Switch Online.

If this month we're getting N64 (the renewal for day-one subscribers is due this month) and Super Mario 64 isn't on it, there will be fireworks.

(That said, I'd take a non-subscription recollection any day.)
