I'm not going to pretend I understand the sensitivity of the topic, all I want is Nintendo to keep making good games. Their track record has been pretty excellent so far so I'm of the camp that they should just continue doing what they're doing.

Yes yes of course, Nintendo is living from game to game. They can't risk releasing even one possible flop (even though that's not guaranteed). Better to just not take any chances and release another 3 Mario games instead.

I sometimes forget Nintendo is a tiny little indie company that didn't just open a park attraction in Universal Studios and they definitely didn't release a movie that printed money along with games that never stop selling.

Yes, F-Zero is just way too expensive of a game for poor little Nintendo to develop.

Despite it being mostly more Breath of the wild, I find myself enjoying it more than I did BOTW. Tears almost feels like the "complete" vision that BOTW started with.

Yes, the PlayStation 5 is now the best way to play Playstation 4 games. I'm going to be optimistic that Nintendo will at least do the bare minimum now that an account system is finally in place.

Yes your entire PS4 digital library, along with any playstation plus games you redeemed long in the past, are transferred over no problem.

Other things the Wii did better than the switch:

-Backwards compatibility with the GameCube
-Free online
-Virtual Console

I'll always see Nintendo as a companion console to either of the other two. You buy Nintendo for exclusives and one of the other consoles (or PC) for everything else.

If it's another action slasher then no thanks. Why not keep innovating on turn based strategy or active turn based? Why does everything have to button mash action nowadays from Square.

I'm not done with it but I don't play it every day. Feel like I'm getting close to the end, with a majority of the content completed though. I'm the sort of person that doesn't keep playing after the credits roll so I want to do as much as I can before finishing it.

Why do we need an edgy hedgehog when we already have an edgy echidna? Probably an unpopular opinion but I really don't like knuckles. Talk about a one-note character.

Yes that's fair, it seems you have a very pragmatic way of going about things so I can't exactly find fault with that. I just always think about an old Gabe Newell quote whenever it comes to piracy.

"The easiest way to stop piracy is not by putting antipiracy technology to work. It's by giving those people a service that's better than what they're receiving from the pirates."

But as you've said before, Nintendo is under no obligation to do any of that. At the end of the day it's all their property and we get the privilege to experience it sometimes.

I see, I don't exactly agree with your perspective on it because I disagree on the harm to IP theft that occurs when playing old games (if anything having access to them only strengthens an IP as more people are able to experience said games) but you're right in that Nintendo has no obligation to make available their older games. I'm sure if they could they'd go after the ebay sellers as well. They're Nintendo's property and if we're good maybe they'll give us a GameCube game or two in the future.

I don't condone the illegal distribution of current gen systems, only ones where there is no suitable alternatives. The 3ds for example, with Nintendo killing the online, I see as perfectly acceptable to promote back ups. Without sites and subreddits like this then those games would be lost to time. Sure Nintendo might give us a couple games in a few years but 50 games out of the hundreds released? Yeah you gotta put in more effort than that Nintendo.

Oh, weird to see a playstation exclusive getting so much attention here then.

Did you play it on a switch or a next gen console? If so that might solve the muddy visuals and performance issues.

The 2D games are by far the hardest Zelda games to me. In TOTK the only difficulty is the beginning of the game but once you have a few hearts, upgraded armor and a couple fairies you're pretty much untouchable. I think I only died a few times in the first couple hours in and then 80 hours later I have yet to die again.

I wish I knew that the things you build seem to delete at random. Stray too far away and poof, gone. The switch's aging hardware at play, no doubt. Now I only build the simplest devices so I don't waste resources.

I don't trust Ubisoft much nowadays. This looks like a cash grab to me.

This will be a big middle finger to Atlus' fans if some games wind up being timed exclusives. Who even plays JRPGs on the Xbox??

This Ganondorf won me over mostly because we see his rise to power and just a bit more of his backstory compared to other Ganons. Actually giving him a voice at last does go a long way too.

I ran from the gloom hands until I realized they give some of the best rewards. If you haven't stuck around to fight then yet, do it. Trust me.

Vtubers are basically what Mark Zuckerberg is trying to do but better. He's trying to invent a technology that already exists.

I wish that instead of weapon degradation we would have been able to just enhance weapons in the same way that we do armor in the game. I wouldn't mind fewer weapons but with more unique traits either. Like a fire sword that gets more fiery with upgrades. As it is now I just use whatever weapon I pick up and snap whatever strongest fusion material I have on it. This actually just makes everything feel even more same-y. There's no real difference between a traveler's spear and a soldier spear beside one tiny thing, which tends to get negated since the weapon is bound to break after killing the third or fourth enemy. It was a missed opportunity to make side quests even more rewarding if it gave you a unique weapon or materials to enhance said unique weapon. What a shame...oh well there's always the next Zelda game!

To me Harvest Moon will always pale in comparison to Rune Factory but I spent the most time with friends of mineral town on the gba followed by the original harvest moon on gameboy. None of the others could hook me for very long before I started getting bored.

For most I don't think dupingis a money issue but rather because the grind to catch butterflies or mob drops that are on the rarer side can take a while. Basically they dupe to upgrade their clothes with less hassle.

Didn't really bother with it. Seems like a nice little shortcut though if you want to upgrade your gear but honestly I don't mind running around the world, taking different routes through the same areas and finding new stuff in the process.

I don't get why Nintendo goes after emulation so hard. They don't have a Wii/GameCube emulator on the switch. They don't provide us with a means to purchase the games legally. They don't make money off of Big Kev selling games for $300 on e-bay. What's the point?

It needs to change the combat system, outfits and the little side objectives. By change combat system I don't mean reinvent it but at least add a few new weapon types, completely change outfits and do something other than the korok seeds. I've already defaulted to using my tried and true setup that I used to use for BOtW one I got it all without even realizing it at first but the more I played the more I started realizing "this really is just more BOTW huh?" Thank goodness I didn't replay that game in preparation for this one.

It also gets real tedious to clear a small encampment only to get a slightly better version of a weapon or heaven forbid some bombs or something as a reward. "Oh great, something I can use to kill two or three monsters before it breaks." I started to avoid unnecessary combat because of that.

So a lot of the cons, barring performance issues, still occur in the PS5 version of the farming sim game. These games are definitely not for everyone but for those of you that like something to sit back and relax to while listening to a podcast or something after a long day of work, this is your game. Action Fortnite gamers that need constant stimulation obviously need not apply.

Enough with the "release now fix later mentality." I hate a lot of things about modern gaming but that practice is the thing I loathe the most.

I mean if you've always wanted to try a Splatoon type game but don't have a switch then I guess this would be appealing. I don't like Splatoon's gameplay in any capacity though so it'd be a hard pass for me regardless.

I can't understand people that play games and just don't sleep, only take breaks to eat and use the restroom. I feel like at a certain point your brain goes to mush and you zombify. I think it's important to take breaks to think about what you just experienced and really appreciate it. This is why when I get into conversations with people who play for hours straight they always say things like "oh yeah I don't really remember that part" What's the point then?

Looks like the $70 price tag is fine. Next year they'll bump it up to 80. No 90...ah let's just make it an even $100 per new game.

Time to remake the first Zelda game as a huge open world like TOTK.

Missed opportunity not throwing in the Monado as an Easter egg weapon. Or maybe they did? A gamer can dream.

GameStop is offering some trade in 2 games deal. It's actually not completely terrible since I have a hard time selling my games anyways so I guess I'll do that and just pay the $20 for it.

My brother and sister haven't seen it yet so we'll probably get together to watch it... which will give me another excuse to see it again, this time without the sniveling kids and overly loud parents chattering with each other.

Sacred Stones was my first fire emblem game ever so I'll always have a soft spot for it but I'll admit that this one was the better of the two.

It's got the good looking animes, a whole bunch of the animes. I wonder how well it will do.
