Not much shown for 2021 but 2022 looks exciting. Glad more people can enjoy N64 and Genesis games. I have a hacked Switch running Retroarch so I've enjoyed it for some time. I have the Retrobit 6 button Genesis controller, I highly recommend that model!

Is this online only or can I play offline/split screen style?

Wow lost all excitement when I saw its cloud only. Might as well play on PC if I have to be close to an internet connection.

As a Sonic fan I'm mad at this game for introducing wisps to the series. I hate wisps.

My favorite Sonic game and I play it all the time via emulator but it would be great for the masses to replay as well. 👍🏽

I'm a broken record here but I'd rather have Nintendo make a Switch 2 instead of a Switch Pro. Developers would still have to support the original model so we're not going to see the performance/resolution boost people are expecting. If the Switch 2 can be on par with the Xbox One we'll probably keep getting current gen ports.

You can also touch the battery icon to reveal the percentage, but I hate using the touchscreen if I don't have to (fingerprints!) so its nice to know this option exists. 😄

Those of us with hacked Switches are used to playing games a week ahead. If its in the hands of reviewers its in the hands of the community. 😜

Kinda related, I recently played Mortal Kombat 3 on a Game Gear emulator and was surprised by how good the graphics looked lol. The gameplay kind of sucked when you remember that there were only 2 buttons 😅

I'd still consider 3 gb small. Large to me is 20gb+ like NBA 2K and Mortal Kombat 11 lol.

Being a huge Sonic fan I'm all for making Mario faster! 😁

People argue that game backups are piracy, but this is a perfect example where if you purchased the game you should be entitled to keeping the ROM forever.

Played all 3 Bioshock games on the Switch for the first time. Great series and great job on the ports!

The game itself looks awesome, I just feel like devs shoot themselves in the foot sometimes by announcing too early. 2022 seems so far away lol.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here but I would love to see Jedi Fallen Order on the Switch. Currently playing on PC, would be epic on the go.

I love my 8bitdo wireless adapter! Switch games are way better with a PS4 controller, glad to see this continuing with the PS5 controller 😁

I would rather see Nvidia make a version of GeForce Now for the Switch. On my modded Switch Moonlight runs great so I can certainly see the potential.

Intentionally did not 100% complete this game so I would always have some power moons to find throughout the Switch lifecycle. 😁

Disappointing that you have to be connected to the internet to start the game (this frustrated me on the subway pre-covid lol). Besides that they did an awesome job bringing it to the Switch with 60fps 😁

I wish Mario Kart Tour supported gamepads, glad they implemented landscape mode at least.

I already started playing on PC because I couldn't wait any longer. Hoping there is some sort of cross save so I don't have to start from scratch.

If you want N64 emulation that badly install custom firmware + retroarch. Works great! 😉

I'm only on Stage 3, this has been in my backlog. Definitely need to return to it!

I play offline so if there isn't any new content I don't see the need to update.

Most of the time the articles/reviews give you enough context to know if a game is online only, but I wish Nintendo Life was more clear when a game is online only. Maybe a field at the beginning of the page?

Landscape and gamepad would make this game way more fun! Now if they can just make 200cc free...

Spencers has been selling Sonic energy drinks for a while now. The liquid is blue, don't really remember the taste lol.

Mario Kart Tour would have been great if it worked in landscape mode, supported gamepads, and had 200cc unlocked for all. Nintendo really knows how to ruin a mobile game smh.

I enjoy this game when playing with friends, but the grand prix story mode is really difficult. Don't think I made it past the third stage lol.

Just googled that it doesn't have split screen. Looks like N64 version on Retroarch is the way to go.

I usually play offline but I'm always happy when a free cross-play title makes its way to the Switch! 😁
