I never owned one but I did have the game boy player for the gamecube. Fond memories of that one. 😁

I've been burned by digital purchases. I installed custom firmware on my PS3 and my account was banned resulting in me losing hundreds of dollars in purchases I can no longer download. My original Nintendo Switch was also banned and i could no longer access the eShop. One can argue that I should purchase a second console if I'm going to install custom firmware, but its the principal of the matter. You can be easily locked out from purchases made with real money.

I wish I was strong willed enough to resist this game lol 🙈

@VegasToad Yes, I would love a twisted metal type game on the switch! This looks to colorful. Plus showing the touchscreen controls on the screenshots looks terrible.

Online only games will be hard for historians to preserve. I personally prefer offline games but J understand there is an audience for everything.

On a related note, some online only games do have user communities who are dedicated to making the game work again. Sonic Runners Revival is one that comes to mind and is a game I still regularly play.

Are these types of events online only? I usually play offline and I'm always confused when I read these headlines if these changes will work offline.

Another reason I hate this "always online" climate. Copying save files only became an issue because of leaderboards and achievements. As someone who generally plays offline games I hate these restrictions.

I thought this was a great game! Had lots of fun. I prefer short games so I appreciated the length.

"Worse" version has cartridge support, 6 button controller, wireless support, and possibly Sonic 3 and Knuckles (game list not out yet?).

They lost me with the controller layout. I like the DualShock layout (d-pad to the left and joysticks at the bottom). Looked promising tho.

Can someone who is pro-folders explain to me their use case? Practically speaking I don't know how I would organize games into folders (ex: "Nintendo Folder", "AAA games", "Indie", etc).

Seems like Nintedo Life visitors are very anti-piracy. 🤔

Homebrew and emulators already gave me NES games on Switch. Honestly I'm still sad that Nintendo is making us pay for online games. 😥

If something like this happened in an adult game like Call of Duty I don't think it would be a big deal, but the fact that this is a kid friendly game has me conflicted. This is why Nintendo will always be restrictive with online content.
