Back in May, Activision announced it would release Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC this September.
At the time, there was no mention of a release on Nintendo's platform, but now dataminers have reportedly uncovered of evidence of a potential Switch version within the recently released Warehouse demo - which is exclusively available to anyone who pre-orders the full game.
Supposedly hidden within the demo's files are screens of a Nintendo Switch, a pair of Joy-Con in a grip, and a Pro Controller. These images were apparently taken from the "THPSGOAT Discord" and have been shared on Twitter by the user @DarthBellic:
Keep in mind, nothing has been officially confirmed - so, for now, it's probably best to treat this as a rumour. For all we know, these images could be elaborate fakes - some of the buttons in each picture certainly don't match up - or files left over from a scrapped version of the game.
One other thing to factor in here is that Activision has already released a number of other remasters on the Nintendo Switch. These games include Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Earlier this month the official website for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time also potentially leaked a Nintendo version.

Idk those could easily be photoshopped. But fingers crossed
Hope it comes to Switch, but I'm also happy to play it on PC.
Could be photoshopped or maybe they scratched the switch version but left those files in.
Steam supports the Switch Pro Controller at least so could be that but idk, who knows.
Hopefully we'll see a release on the Switch before the year's end.
Generally safe to assume if a big 3rd party game is coming to Switch it'll come about a year after the other platforms.
For some reason, it seems to fit the narrative Activision has chosen to release certain titles on the Switch. When Spyro was announced at first, no Switch version, I knew it was coming over. It may be 6-12 months, but it shows up and easily sells over a couple million copies. This one may sell a whole lot more than Crash and Spyro.
I'd be so down for this. I have super fond memories of the Tony Hawk games (especially since I got out right before they got bad), and 1 is the only classic Tony Hawk game I never played.
Hell if they can't get it on Switch, I'd settle for the original or even the GBA version. The GBA Tony Hawk 2 is weirdly an actually awesome version of that game btw.
@progx Yeah, they’re probably hoping/realized that people are willing double dip on all their games to have it on release and portable. They most likely don’t announce switch versions for that specific reason.
I took a Nintendo Survey about a month ago and one of the questions was, “Which of the following franchises would you want to see on Nintendo Switch?”. All the franchises listed were already on the Switch with the exception of one option. That option was Tony Hawk.
@Thraxmo - how old was the survey? It doesn't make much sense that every option but one was already on there.
Yes please. This is the perfect game to pick up and put down on the go.
@SkullDragr I know, it definitely doesn’t make sense. The survey was on July 22.

Oh boy you know what that means
Switch users are waiting a whole year until they can get their hands on another multiplatform game when all the hype has died down for it significantly!
Say hi to DOOM Eternal on the way out
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Remember the switch pro controller they found in the files of rdr2? What ever happened to that?
This would make me extremely happy!
Should I cancel my PS4 pre-order.....?
Preordered already for PS4. Demo is a lot of fun. Might double dip for a handheld version though.😏
This would honestly be such a great announcement for me. So many great memories playing the first two with my boiz
@Benhop07 The thing is though RDR2 only ever had controller prompts for the Pro Controller while this datamine shows the control scheme for both the Joy-Con grip and the Switch in handheld mode, which means more than likely it's a Switch version of the remakes that'll release like a year later a la Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited
Please. Please. Please.
This would be awesome! It's probably tricky to get the performance right on switch, as you don't want a frame dipper game. If I don't have a PS5 at that time, I will get it on Switch.
I almost pre ordered the PS4 CE as it came with a full size deck. Would looks cool on the wall.
It's fake, those are ps4 icons for the buttons
@Mallen001
I don't see any PS4 icons anywhere.
These diagrams are super useful for finding out where those elusive X, Y, A, and B buttons are located.
About 19 years ago Xbox og got Tony hawk 2x. This is basically the same concept except without the original team but with the gba dev team. I just find it crazy that the same concept and same game can seem new after that many years even when essentially it isn't.
I'd pick this up in a second. I've thought about buying a PS4 just for this.
I hope it is true but I am skeptical.
This is something i can get behind
It's Activison syndrome. Anything that comes to the Switch has to come late, except for CTR, because that one had MTX.
30fps THPS ??? 🤮
No.
If it's true, then, it's crazy that didn't announce it together with the other platforms.
I still don't get how they can't release the game at the same time. It's not like the Switch is new so you don't have enough time to develop on it.
And this kind of game is perfect to play on the go.
@westman98 @mallen001 The screenshots don't portray the L and R buttons properly, but rather show them as LB and RB for two (switch handheld and pro con) and L1 and R1 for another (joycon grip). That's rather suspect but could be an error on the developers part.
Edit: L2 and R2 are also used instead of ZL and ZR for the joycon grip. Looks like its probably fake with poor oversight from the photoshopper. @Liam_Doolan
Really hope it comes to Switch
@XenoShaun
Now that I look a bit more closely, I see L1/L2/R1/R2/Share/Options buttons in the image of the JoyCons + grip attachment.
I was wishing they were planning on releasing this on the Switch so I could Tony Hawk on the go. Haven't done that since the GBA and it was nothing like the console version.
@westman98 Yeah definitely seems iffy. Really hope it is an error on developers part rather than twitter / discord rando chasing clout, but its 2020.
@durr Your PS1 ran 60fps?
@XenoShaun I can't hear you lalalalala
BTW: I asked Tony about it a few days ago.
Needless to say it remained unanswered.

I loved the original, but when I was 18 I used to play this until my hands cramped on the controller. 20 years later probably not ready to play at that level
I’d double dip.
I love you “fake fake fake” crew. You are as entertaining as the PS fanboys over at push square that can’t stand any conversation that doesn’t praise Sony to the Hilt. (I suspect some of you are In both camps)
Who cares if it’s a fake or not. Either way it’s not confirmation of anything it’s just a nice discussion and clearly these games would sell well.
Hopefully we get confirmation soon. They know that people would buy on switch first and anything else second so they try and get us twice. I held off on crash and spyro because it was obviously those two would be switch bound.
This is a day one for me. I can’t wait and I don’t mind getting twice coz I’m a superman
@timp29 Those where the days man. Tony Hawk in the PlayStation, Jackass on TV and CKY downloading on Napster.
We will see it a year after the release of the PS4, exactly the same as Crash and Spiro.
Loved playing the original, and also just read the back story in RetroGamer magazine this month,
https://twitter.com/RetroGamer_Mag/status/1293932245825323008?s=20
So well up for this if true
@Yanina Hope that silence is the good kind. Would love this on Switch.
@Yanina Making me nostalgic. Tony Hawk, Dave Mirra, SSX, Burnout and hardcore and punk revival soundtracks.
I can bet its actually just due to the Pro controller steam controller compatibility.
@georgesdandre Dave Mirra freestyle bmx was my jam on PS1 back in the day. Rented that more times than I can remember. Rip.
I have a sneaking suspicion it may be purely for the PC version, as Steam now has native support for the Switch Pro Controller.
Here’s hoping, though! THPS1+2 runs on Unreal Engine 4, making it an easy port!
EDIT: oh ***** they got an actual Switch in there lol nvm
@durr you mean... like the original and the previous remake?
No reason why this can't be ported top Switch.
Still waiting on Crash Bandicoot 4... fingers crossed!
Sypro? What is Sypro? 🤣
Really hope it does end up on the Switch!
I'm not a fan of Tony Hawk that much as I had only play the fourth game but if the game is coming to Switch then good, if not then no reason for me to care about it.
@Benhop07 That's exactly what came to my mind as soon as I read this article. To me this is as legit as that Nigerian Prince that keeps emailing me informing me he wants to transfer my fortune. Just needs my banking information.
I really really really hope this is true. This would be a day one purchase for me.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 was probably my most played game on PlayStation. Would love to see this come to Switch alongside Crash and Spyro.
Please let there be something to this....
@tourjeff The issue is the Switch is significantly less powerful than the other consoles. To port it and make it run better than deadly premonition 2, requires lots of time and effort. It's much more cost effective to hire a development team to port it after the games finished.
Another day. Another rumor of a game maybe coming to Switch even though it was announced for all the other consoles months ago.
I desperately want this to be true! 😫
@Grumblevolcano Then some 3rd parties are shocked when these games sell far fewer copies on Switch, considering many gamers played them elsewhere already (not all gamers, but many).
For example, at this point i've been just playing Doom Eternal elsewhere since portability is not too important for me, personally.
I have pretty fond memories of THPS2 on the N64 back in the day. I might dip into this if it does happen to come to Switch.
@RustedHero Don't knock that prince. He's as legitimate as the Knights' Stanley Cup
@Thraxmo I got the same survey. Thought it was peculiar and assumed they were testing the waters for a potential port.
@COVIDberry Oh that deserves a 5 minute major! To the box you go!
I'm tired of games coming out for PS4 and Xbox first then coming to Switch just so people will double dip. It's the same thing that has been happening to PC for years. Like what else can these companies think of to try and scum an extra few dollars.
First Crash Bandicoot 4 and now this? Here we go again... I thought CTR:NF was an example of what Reggie said at the end of 2018 when asking if Switch titles would arrive closer to other consoles beginning in 2019.
But the fact an entire Switch handheld appears there immediately points that this is definitely working on Switch.
Except if this could be an elaborate fake, and if that's the result, then I hope they offer a good excuse for apology. Falsificating a tease for a game on Switch is NO laughing matter.
But seriously, this needs to be on Switch, it would be an incredible addition to the library.
@retro_player_77
The first two (the second being vastly superior) are the ones to play if you play any of them.
So sick of rumours
