Funny, I'm currently replaying Tomb Raider 2013 on the Steam Deck and I keep thinking the Switch is def capable of running it.

I agree, COD should be playable. As mentioned, even COD Mobile on Switch would be great. MW II runs great on the Steam Deck for anyone who doesn't want to wait for Microsoft. 😎

Not sure if there is local multiplayer but that would be a missed opportunity for them. Looks cool.

I'm just glad that this sounds native and not cloud. Modern Warfare II runs great on the Steam Deck, sure its gonna be blurry on the Switch but I think its still possible.

I've been enjoying Modern Warfare II on the Steam Deck. Runs great, hoping Switch fans can enjoy a similar experience. Realistically I would have thought that they would have brought COD Mobile to the Switch, its more than capable and is still a good compromise.

Long time Sonic fan, I really hope they don't continue in the direction of Frontiers. Really hated it and I feel betrayed as a core fan. Hoping we see a trend of more 3D fan games and maybe we get another Mania situation.

Very well said! I love my Steam Deck (currently playing Uncharted 4, Sackboy, and Gotham Knights) and my Switch (currently playing Boyonetta 3 and wanting to start the new Pokemons). Pros and cons to both and both have a space in my life (and backpack lol).

One point I'm surprised wasn't mentioned is the fact that Switch absolutely DOMINATES at local multiplayer! Its so easy to share the joy-cons and so many games support offline local multiplayer. Sure, there are a few PC games that support it too, but having to get an external kickstand and/or dock + gamepads just isn't the same.

The Switch is totally capable of running COD Mobile. There was a point of time where I would have preferred that to playing on Android. Now I have a Steam Deck and COD MW 2019 runs great 😁 Still waiting on MW 2 to have a price drop. (Its crazy that games are $70 now!)

Planning to play Crisis Core on the Steam Deck but still voted it 😜

@somnambulance I'm someone who prefers short games and was very happy with the length of RE2 and RE3 remakes. Obligatory "this runs great on Steam Deck" comment. 😜

I've ranted plenty about this game already so I'll keep it short. If you like Breath of the Wild style open world games you'll probably enjoy it. As a day one Sonic fan that's not what I'm looking for, I want fast and simple gameplay. I don't think Sega made this game for Sonic fans, they want to capture a new audience, which is okay but feeling kind of hurt about it. 😕😞

After playing for a couple of hours I have to say this is the most accurate review. I love Sonic (can't you tell from my avatar lol) but I HATE open world games. Too much random bullcrap to collect and no real sense of where to go or what to do. (I'm lost trying to find vault keys right now, which are needed to progress). Thankfully two great Sonic fan games were released this year which I highly recommend instead: Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit and Sonic Omens.

Seriously tho, currently playing Uncharted 4 and this thing has me re-evaluating my expectations for what a Switch 2 should be. Honestly would prefer a new pocket sized handheld, I still carry around my Vita and I would totally buy a Switch Pocket in a heartbeat.

I would have expected COD Mobile to be ported to the Switch. Stopped holding my breath, the Modern Warfare 2 beta played great on my Steam Deck so the need isn't there for me personally but would be great for others. I'd also like to echo what others have said about local multiplayer, not too many FPS games with split screen on the Switch and its a shame.

Reminder that all these games should run great on a Steam Deck 😉 Thats the only realistic option for playing these games portable + offline.

The Steam Deck has me questioning what I want from a Switch 2. Honestly I want Nintendo to make another pocket sized handheld (Switch Pocket?). The Deck will probably still handle my AAA games but I know Switch 2 will have great Nintendo exclusives and local multiplayer games.

Agreed, this would be a great feature for games that lack local multiplayer. Thankfully many Switch games do have local multiplayer, but for those occasional titles that only have wireless/online options this would be really cool!

I've been waiting for this! Great for PC emulators. Could have came in handy back when Gang Beasts was PC exclusive.

Looks cool! Had me at local multiplayer, not sure if there are alot of metroidvanias with local multiplayer. (Guacamelee comes to mind as a stand out!)

This will likely be an online only game, but really hoping it has split screen multiplayer!

I'm playing as Tails in Sonic 1 now and sometimes he flies automatically to the top of the stage very fast 😅 So far I'm pretty satsified with this. I did not pay $45 for it so maybe my opinion would be different if I did lol 🙃

I found that my young nephews and neices love 1-2-Switch (its their favorite game!). Maybe marketing towards the younger kids is better for this type of game.

Switch still has plenty of life in it and Nintendo has shown strong first party support. I see third party support dwindling into indies like the Vita did. Hoping official emulators get added, Gamecube and Wii emulation are def possible as Super Mario 3D All Stars has shown.

The Steam Deck should satisfy my itch for AAA games and it should push Nintendo to make the Switch 2 something that is very powerful.

The Retro-bit 6 wireless button controller is great here in the US! I use it to play Genesis games on my Switch with Retroarch. 😁

As someone without a lot of free time I prefer short games. I hate that some reviewers treat that as a con when its a pro to me. 😄

My brother introduced me to this game on PC and had a hard time getting 4 xbox/ps4 controllers at once so we can all have fun together. Glad its almost being released on the Switch 😁

Ahh was hoping the patch could be applied to Super Mario 3D All Stars. Well hopefully can play it on the Steam Deck 😜
