This was a thing? When did it ever get released on switch?
This is the one that did a whole bunch of Youtube sponsorships a while back right?
I'm not sure what I'm waiting for on this game. It honestly looks decent and yeah, they're constantly updating it which is amazing. I definitely should check it out soon.
Hi @stinky_t,
There are lots of game studios who do YouTube sponsored videos, so I can't speak for them. However, every major update we like to work with YouTubers such as SwitchUp to help spread more awareness about the game. So it is likely you may have seen us popup somewhere.
All the best,
Joe
Hello @Qphlat27,
That really means a great deal to us, thank you!
Take care,
Joe
Hey @VoidofLight ,
Oh, it's most definitely a thing! It launched on Switch last year (January, 2020) - and we're so proud of how far we've come.
Kindest regards,
Joe
Does anyone know anything about the state of the online lobbies? Would love to play this if I can find people online to play with.
Howdy @luke88,
Hypercharge isn't the type of game where you will find tons and tons of players online. This is mainly because it focuses hugely on Offline/Split-screen play. And also because we aren't a huge studio, we're just five indie devs who love making a game about action figures!
With that being said, we are constantly updating the game based on player feedback. We also have a very active Discord server full of small soldiers looking for allies to teamup with.
Warmest regards,
Joe
i look forward to the improved movement most of all
@D_Cybercherries yeah, I think it was Switchup I saw this on. Sweet!
@D_Cybercherries oh hi Joe, thanks so much for the quick response. I've actually been thinking about buying your game all day and have watched various YouTube videos - I've seen you all over the place!
I'm in, friend! Evening where I am but I shall get out of bed and put it on download this very moment. Will perhaps look into the discord server at some point.
Take care
.....Was that a Beyblade flying at you towards the end of that trailer?
@D_Cybercherries you made my son’s week last night! He’s been looking forward to this update so much.
Thank all of you for your dedication to your fans. It’s one of his all-time favorite games with 245 hours on his Switch’s tracker. He was ecstatically poring over everything with each update and last night was no different. Pure delight.
Don’t ever change. Y’all are awesome. Thank you!
These guys understand what games are supposed to be: mindless FUN.
Played it a bit and gotta say I enjoy it. Visuals are great as well.
I heard there was going to be a campaign update for this game or something that’s what I thought this update was but that’s cool I will still give this update a go. Me and my brother love this game every time we have a friend come over they are what is this game and they start to get into it also just a fun game to play with others love your game.
Does this include the single player campaign? Got the demo and then the full game later. Definitely one of the better shooters on Switch, especially visually
@D_Cybercherries I'm always looking for fun split screen games. Its always cool to see a dev responding to comments, keep up the good work! 😎
I'm always excited to get updates for this game! But wait... does this not include the single player campaign they are planning to add?
Played this game a bit when it first came out, loved the premise. Has an update brought it up to 60 fps? I think this type of games need that.
Got this game when it first came out. Reminds me of TOY Story meets Goldeneye. Nice graphics. Fun arcadey shooting.
Love the attention to detail in all the stages. Really feels like my childhood, going to Toys R Us, spending Saturday mornings playing with GI Joes and Star Wars figures in my backyard.
This game really is amazing and has the polish of a AAA title, especially considering such a small team worked on it. The labour of love really shows through in this one.
I hope more people get this game, otherwise it become a beloved 'cult classic' or 'sleeper hit' of the Switch era.
@Pavy_1983 LOL I got more of a Small Soldiers vibe from it. That was a really unique kids film from the late 90s
This must have sold VERY well on switch.
@Riderkicker Yes, yes it was.
Guess I'll need to redownload it! Good to see it's still supported!
