Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Well known German Techzine ‚heise online‘ (heise.de) (English at the end):
„Nie zuvor in einem Pokémon war das Gameplay besser und die Technik schlechter.“ — „In puncto Technik ist das neue Pokémon Karmesin und Purpur eine Frechheit. Wir sehen nicht die betagte Hardware der Nintendo Switch als Grund für das gebotene Desaster.“

‚Never before in a Pokémon game the gameplay has been better and the technique has been worse.‘ — ‚In terms of technology, the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a cheek. We don't see the aged hardware of the Nintendo Switch as the reason for the shown disaster.‘

Re: Steve And Alex Will Both Receive Smash Bros. amiibo Figures In Spring 2022

@Yosher @SalvorHardin
Steve and Alex are not the same mould. If you look closer you can see, that Alex has at least thinner arms (as in Minecraft). But of course the changes are minimalistic.

I don‘t like the pose. Why not something more dynamic, and with a pickaxe? I own two figures of Steve and Alex from some blind boxes with way more interesting poses…

Re: Bandai Namco Is Changing Its Logo In 2022

vanYth

It is not great, but okayish. At least it does not look like a kids TV channel logo anymore. But they really could have done better…

I really like when companies put a nice little graphical element in their logo. Like Psygnosis did. Or Rainbow Arts. Or the first EA logo. Atari. Playtonic. Why not use Pac-Man in a new Bandai Namco logo?

The series didn't really start showing signs of wackiness until the third game
[/cite]

Well, I just played the second game „Cruis‘n World“ today on my good old N64, and at least there are UFOs visiting Stonehenge. But despite racing through some ancient egypt or mexican buildings, the tracks are nice but without too much wackyness.

Re: Here's What The Nintendo Switch Looks Like Next To Valve's Steam Deck

vanYth

Wow, this is huge.
But I missed the weight in the comparison, here it is:

PS Vita: 219-279g
Nintendo Switch (orig./Lite/OLED): 398g / 275g / 420g
Sega GameGear: ~400g (+ Batteries ~140g?)
Steam Deck: 669g
iPad (1st gen./8th gen.): 680g / 490g

The Steam Deck is a really heavy one. I had the first iPad, and the weight could be a real problem for longer game sessions.

Re: Games Within Games - The Best Video Games In Other Video Games

vanYth

Not Nintendo related, but in the games „Billy la Banlieue“ and „Billy 2“ from Loriciels for the Amstrad CPC, your task was to play and beat several Arcade Machines to get a code to win the game. Of course they weren‘t spectacular, but it was a fun idea to play breakout, a small racing or shooting game within another game.

Re: Random: This Might Just Be The Longest Title We've Ever Seen For A Nintendo Switch Game

So if you don‘t find a name for your game, just put the description on the front. 😂

And soon from the same company are coming those new games:
„Drive fast on the street. And even if you crash, get back on your seat to earn more cash and buy a better car.“
„Kick the ball. There is a goal at the other side. Hit it and you team will become stronger and well known.“
and last but not least:
„Beware the falling blocks. Stack them fast and stack them right. See them disappearing? Become the hero of the fading blocks!“
