@Toastmaster
„The current fake Atari is in reality "Infogrames" that existed for over 40 years...“

True, but they put so much love into the historical Atari products, that I won‘t call them ‚fake‘.
The ‚true‘ Atari already died 1984, maybe even earlier with Warner as mother company.

Re: Here's Why Switch 2 Joy-Con And Pro Controllers Don't Have Analogue Triggers

@Old-Red
I would be ok with that if there IS the possibility for analogue triggers for 3rd party controllers. In Switch 1 this was not possible. Only way was to support GC controller with adapter, but you lose L1 and HD-rumble.

„Additionally, they tend to break and get loose much quicker too.“
Never had this problem with Saturn 3D, Dreamcast, GameCube, MFi, Xbox 360, One or Series controller, some of them bought used. Sticks, yes, but not triggers.

Analogue triggers are mostly needed for realistic racing games, but I would say they are needed for every vehicle game.

On Switch several games are nearly impossible to play.
Of course there are many racing games like GRID, WRC or Wreckfest.
But also playing Trials Gold ist a pain. Or MudRunner.
Livery editors, e.g. in Hot Wheels Unleashed, are often using analogue triggers for sizing or rotating elements. It is driving me mad on the Switch, it feels like fighting against the game.

If I think of other platforms, something like Elite Dangerous or Euro Truck Simulator would be very difficult if not impossible to play. I also remember strategy games using them for smooth rotating, but I think these were older when there was no second analogue stick…

I am clearly team analogue trigger!

An if it is about direct input, you could also argue against the sticks, as I still see many people using them like they were digital.

Re: "We MUST Resist Buying These Game-Key Releases", Says GamesMaster Host

@TrueBlueYoshi
Well, it is not really like a game card. It is just a dongle. So it tells your Switch, that you are allowed to download and play the game.
The card has no storage itself, so you maybe still need some additional SD card in your Switch to fit the game onto.
And to play you need to download the whole game (like if you bought it fully digital), not just an update, so bad luck if you have no or a slow internet connection in that situation.
Oh, imagine if you lost your key card, but still see the 20 Gig game in your console you cannot play anymore… But of course losing game cards is always a bad idea…

I think, the key cards are way better than the key-in-a-box, but they should not replace real game cards

Re: Review: LEGO Animal Crossing - Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House - Is It Any Good?

vanYth

As I mentioned under another review:
I don‘t like that Lego chooses a house where it could not get the roof right (has to be like a cone). Why not choose another house then?

That these are not much more than facades of houses (not even half of a house I would say) and that they are very expensive are some common Lego problems. Surprisingly there seem to be (nearly) no stickers. And the sets are really cute, I took a look at my local Lego store this week. But I will pass.

Re: Double Dragon Advance, Super & Collection Announced For Switch

"The long-awaited Double Dragon Advance and Super Double Dragon are making a double comeback this year! After 20 years, the first official ports for both games will be making their way to modern consoles on November 9, 2023."

Huh? Super Double Dragon was officially released on the Technos Collection for Evercade in 2020. but maybe that is no „modern“ console 😄
