Re: Clueless About Your Switch? Nintendo Is Offering A Free "Concierge" Service For New Owners

I think videos are good enough but that's nice of Nintendo to offer such a service. It would definitely be useful for people who are probably new to gaming, like a parent who bought a child a Switch and wants to play it with them, or anyone that has a hard time learning about technology. My grandmother has a TV remote with a voice search function and she struggles with it. "Hello? Can you hear me? I'd like to watch a John Wayne movie. Hello?" It's funny and sad to watch.

Associating a school lesson with something relevant and interesting to a student is a big help in getting the message across. When I was a kid, my teacher was always using real-world examples in math class: cutting up a cake or a pizza for fractions and decimals, a backyard or a room for perimeter and area, a ball for diameter, radius, and circumference, etc. It made the material much more accessible and easier to learn compared to high school. The only real-world application my teachers gave was "you learn algebra to pass algebra class."

If anything, a "Switch Pro" will be a brand new console that shares the same dock and handheld mode capabilities and is backward compatible.

I just hope Nintendo continues with the concept of a Switch. If a new system is strictly a console or strictly a handheld, it'll be a major step backward. Yes, many people primarily, or entirely, play one way or another. I myself primarily play it docked but I love the option of using it as a handheld.

Persona 5 Royal is seriously saving my sanity during this pandemic. In the game, I get to simulate a social life: hang out with friends, dine at a restaurant, watch a movie at the theater, walk around a large city, take the subway everywhere like I did when I frequently visited New York City before Covid. I've noticed that if I don't play the game in a 3-day time span, my general mood suffers. I need that reminder of how things were.

Re: Bowser Tries To Explain Why Mario's Games Will Be Removed On 31st March 2021

I can understand ending production on the Game and Watch and physical version of 3D All-Stars in March, but why delist it from the digital store? Nintendo is always pushing for people to continue to buy the console years after its release, so why are you punishing new Switch owners because they bought a console after March 31st?

I hope Super Mario 35 gets reinstated, somehow. That game is a lot of fun, especially the one-on-one battle as I fight for first place. It's one of the few times I don't curse my opponent, I genuinely respect their abilities.

Re: "Nintendo Isn't That Smart": Pachter Says Nintendo Should Scrap Switch And 'Only Have Switch Lite'

What a dummy. I personally prefer docked mode, and I only play handheld if I'm taking it on a trip or I need to be away from my TV but that doesn't mean I insist the Switch should be "TV only." And I won't begrudge those who primarily play handheld, whether it's with a dockable Switch or the Switch Lite. If people sold their dock because they're that confident they won't need it, good for them. It doesn't mean everyone else should be denied a chance to dock.
