Ill buy all of them for sure except Emio, my fiancé will definitely buy Metroid Prime even if I wouldnt personally
I haven't actually enjoyed a Mario and Luigi game before (not bad, just not my thing) but Brothership looks promising and its my sworn mission to buy every Mario game on Switch
Hopefully Legends Z-A releases earlier in 2025 (listed before Metroid Prime 4?) but also hopefully it has enough time to be truly good.
Very much not worth full price to me. Ill be keeping an eye out for a cheap used copy but I dont know if Id even pay $40 for it, although I was interested since the initial announcement. I did not enjoy the demo enough. Its certainly a childrens game and if I were a 6 year old girl my opinion might be different.
Really a shame about the E10 rating... I bet nintendo is pulling their hair out about that... but I wonder if the fact that it's been rated and out March 22 gives some insight as to when a game that was rated a couple weeks ago with no announced release date, Paper Mario TTYD, may come. Here's hoping Q1.
unfair decision, it took away a spot and potential victory from an actual indie game. I wish they would just admit their mistake rather than doubling down and making it worse
Kevin afghanis voices dont sound like charles martinet, and they may lack his unique warmth, BUT they DO still sound like the characters. It feels like the same character if not the same voice actor. And thats whats important. Muppet fans know this all too well
@Varkster Ah, its a bummer that it was only a superficial comparison, but thanks for the answer. Yeah, my thought exactly was "this is sorta the dark word for this format of game"
Is the gameplay of the depths similar to Elden Ring? If so, Ill buy Elden Ring right now, since the depths was some of the most novel and interesting gameplay Ive seen in a long time, and the best part for me
Child-oriented social media services need the STRONGEST moderation possible established before launch because child safety becomes the number-one concern. Absolutely horrendous that they launched this without lining up the entire plan of action or adequate staffing. Most cases it's just not feasible and these services don't last like MiiVerse
Wow, I cant believe they made a spin off of Melty Blood She kind of looks like the human version of Neco Arc Too bad its not a game though and is just reading (PARODY)
Gamecube games approach over 1GB each, it would be unsurprisingly impossible to offer them for switch online. On top of that, many games required analogue triggers and couldn't be controlled if brought over in the raw. The most we could reasonably hope for is enhanced ports like Pikmin 1+2. Other than that, there are no other platforms that would run on switch, since DS games would not control well in docked mode.
This response and the context of it sounds more like "we don't have any use for this, but please don't abandon us if we say we don't care about the current investor 'big thing, shareholders!! 'cause we are watching the industry still! yeah..." and doesn't sound like "we are investigating this and will come up with something in the future."
I do hope there are some constraints about how much/how often you can use this... but ultimately in a game that isn't focused on precise time management and strategy, maybe it won't break the game.
(TBH that style of game, 1 and 3, are the best Pikmin gameplay style to me and 2 never really clicked, but I hope I find something to like about this as well, it's been one of my most anticipated games for years)
My only real complaint about these two games is the horrible control to select multiple pikmin types and lack of lock on and charge functions that pikmin 3 introduced. I love 1 and 2 (especially 1) but theyre hard to go back to considering I started with 3.
Surprised to find Im not the only one playing New Super Mario Bros 2 and it made it onto the poll results.
But I'm also going back to revisit BOTW after finishing TOTK, even though it's not as good, because I can't get enough. After that i'll probably play TOTK again seriously.
He sounded a little different for his Mario Movie "do the voice" cameo, and it was higher pitch in his Bowsers Fury lines too. I think its just trending higher pitch, maybe thats the direction hes getting or its pitched up slightly. But it sounds similar to me. Heck, go back and listen to his original lines from MARIO 64 and it sounds off, kind of just like this
@Not_Soos Mmm yeah, thats a really great point! Gamecube remasters are great shadow drop material, and a full remake of a game doesn't make an HD port unrealistic, it's a different kind of product. Here's hoping...!
Sort of a "Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl" type of remake, the original never appealed to me so for such a direct adaptation I think I'll pass, even as a huge Mario fan. Not to be a whiner, but I do wish the TTYD rumors were true.
Still, it does bode well that they've CHOSEN to remake an older Mario RPG. (Still hoping for real results from PMD Rescue Team DX...)
Im glad that they released demos for this and Pikmin 3 to hopefully entice fence-sitters and those unfamiliar to try these games and fall in love with them. A smart business decision that I hope will boost sales and keep this series alive for a long time.
@sanderev Sounds very sensible, this playbook worked last time, and with backwards compatibility or enhancements to existing games, it seems like itd be a breeze
cant wait for that 3D mario, my most anticipated game (and its not even announced)
Either theres a massive blowout direct next month or the switch successor is out early next year. If that happens, its a bummer zelda and pikmin couldnt have been on more powerful hardware. perhaps theyll have better resolution or performance
I think the association of random chance mechanics with "gacha" which in the west is only known to refer to pay to play mobile games is really counterproductive and disingenuous... it's unfortunate, because if this was in a game 20 years ago, nobody would even have an emotional reaction to it. Its entirely just a random chance mechanic in the game, which is a normal thing.
@Not_Soos I havent seen this said much but I honestly agree. Theres very little on what the game is like and what itll be about. I wasn't particularly enthused with BOTW after so long of playing either, TBH
@Nanami_Ataraxia
In the west:
Gen 1 → 2: 2 years
Gen 2 → 3: 2.5 years
Gen 3 → 4: 4 years
Gen 4 → 5: 4 years
Gen 5 → 6: 2 years
Gen 6 → 7 and 7 → 8 and 8 → 9: 3 years
Its always been like this, the same amount of time just felt slower to you when you were younger.
I've never been interested in video game adaptations or related fiction such as this, but I do appreciate Encyclopedias very much, and have some interest in things like Reggie Fils Aime's autobiography
Theres very little chance this actually reflects any plans from TPCi and is more for the sake of having someone at the company to investigate and monitor these new and emerging technologies (the same as if it were anything else) and clearly define how they may or may not be relevant to business in the future, which is pretty standard and not newsworthy
Honestly, I thought I would have been more disappointed in 2022 than I was. SрIаtоon 3 Quickly became one of my favorite switch games, and i loved 100%ing Legends Arceus and Scarlet. It's too early to call 2023, but Im already looking forward to Fire Emblem after changing my mind on it, and Zelda will surely be nice, Ive gotten back into that series just in time. Octopath traveler is multiplat, but itll also be good. Pikmin 3 is undeniably huge. Anything new announced, and itll be definitely a good yeR.

Mario Pinball Land gets a bad rap, but I loved that game since I was a kid, its wonderful. I hope it comes to NSO Expansion Pak
