To me the things that make Pokemon games special and worth playing are the world, the characters, the soundtrack, and Pokemon themselves that I have an attachment to... its really hard for another game to capture that. To be honest its been hard for GameFreak themselves to capture that at times lately.
Still, its hard to play something else when it just makes me long for the thing its imitating.
Very suprising to see it's this short, "Bright Memory Infinite" was allegedly the long-awaited full version of the "Bright Memory" demo which was released on Steam some time ago. I hate to find out how short Bright Memory itself was
I think the deal with trademarks is that it protects their usage in a certain context
So specifically, you cant have a video games (or maybe computer or even A/V) named NSW. But if you had a restaurant called NSW, the trademark would not apply.
For instance, I know Hershey trademarked the shade of orange used to market Reese's candy, but the result was that you could not use that shade of orange to market food. Unrelated use of it was fine
I do think there will be some good stuff, especially if there are Final Fantasy pixel remasters, and I'm looking forward to Portal for sure. Tomb Raider would also be nice...
My most outlandish wish would be Metal Gear Solid
Personally from this showcase, I think that there will be some good announcements. Third party releases doesn't mean nothing and there are usually very pleasant suprises and major games. I dont have too much money to spend on games this year anyway.
Id like to point out to everyone that the people asking for third party games and asking for first party games are often different groups
Also, the problem is that the games being released are very niche and have limited appeal. Pokemon fans will have had 3 mainline games in 12 months, and while that sounds good, its wont to fatigue
The advantage of stylized games is that they age much more gracefully. Compared to OoT and MM, WW on GameCube looks pleasing even today, even if Im not the hugest fan of the character design
Im waiting on my copy of pocky and rocky reshrined still, but thats what Ill be playing! Ive been very excited for this release for a long time, and the delay is finally over...

Re: Video: What Was Your First Video Game Ever?
It was Super Mario 64 DS! I was 5
I put so many hours into that game and I took it everywhere with me. Its still amazing it was crammed onto a handheld at the time
