This was great! I am LOVING the casting, especially Charlie Day Luigi - he feels born for this role. The rainbow road mariokart plot has me a little concerned but everything else I cant wait to see.

I just finished Pokemon Scarlet, 100%ed with the Pokedex thanks to my partner with Violet over 75 hours. Maybe Im crazy enough to go right back into Violet next.

@Fizza Ive had slowdown and stuttering and mild lighting/camera issues too, the game is generally not very polished, but the Number of different issues I listed here isnt really proportionate to the intensity of them and only really occasionally am I annoyed.

@Rayquaza2510 Youre very right, its all in the frame pacing and there are also a million different framerates for objects at once in this game

I do think that despite its flaws the game is a solid 7. Fun and good, but extremely imperfect. 6.5 if you're feeling less generous. 6 may be veering a bit harsh

@Rayquaza2510 Regarding "I dont consider a 20fps game playable" how do you feel about Zedla Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask on N64? At times I couldnt help but think of it

Then again, it was a consistent 20fps... maybe if they locked this game at 20fps, the result would be better than trying and failing... maybe there could have been a little more visual fidelity with a compromise like that

I like the game, it has the potential to be one of the best, but the environment and performance are an atrocity and in every way it feels unfinished.

very shocked about all the ed sheeran hate... I dont understand it. I really liked Celestial and it resonated with me to. I have been listening to many songs on his recent album lately and theyre extremely good and I think musically he's very talented.

@JayJ Actually, the reason for those things is because people who view use of force as a masculine ideal or obligation and are under sociel pressure to be "tough" over dealing with things in a productive way may be swayed to crime. Do some research.

@Anti-Matter That is an irresponsible comment. As ketrac pointed out, the main driver of crime in America is poverty, institutional racism and misogyny, as well as access to weapons. There may be a toxic masculinity component, but this and other cultural problems America has are not due to violent media itself. But, thats not to say its the only thing, there are serious and violent crimes everywhere to a degree. Its a very very complicated subject.

Blaming media for giving people "ideas" both isn't true and unproductive, it takes focus away from real causes and real solutions using a bogeyman. Blaming media only does harm to innocent people who consume it responsibly. Anyone who does something "because" of media was already willing and capable.

With a family plan, where we each chip in, its a great deal and I have no complaints.
Especially because of the Mario Kart booster course pass. I do hope for the GBA, though.

Basically, I understand why individuals would feel very wary about the price, but in a family plan its great, and a bargain.

Very glad all these issues were fixed, the team is hard at work! But I do hope that the communication errors during matchmaking are fixed, thats the issue I encounter most with my friends.

@Anti-Matter The problem is that games, in the capitalist business of games, do better when they have individual identity and "unique selling points" compared to other games. Pokemon's battle ststem, while there may be things that change the formula from time to time to keep things fresh, is part of its unique identity. It, and a lot of other design choices, make a Pokemon game a Pokemon game. Its the game feel. Change it, and youre making a different game, maybe with Pokemon branding, like Pokemon Masters on mobile or the Mystery Dungeon spinoff. If you want to play a game that is different to Pokemon, play the games you mentioned.

@BLD Well, the anime is a seperate product to the games. This is directly tied to the game itself. (Even using game assets)

Certain trailers were voiced before (Hisuian Zorua, Grafaiai, Wiglett) but it was not the voice of an in game or specific character. This voice is specifically assigned to this game character for the purpose of the actual game.

Even though this oestensibly uses her in game model... no disclaimer was given for the lack of voice over in the game... this makes her the first officially voiced mainline game character, (second after Legends protag?) even if her voice doesn't appear in game.

Sun and moon has my favorite story, and Id rank Black and White second. I think the sinnoh region has some very interesting lore, and I dont think id rank it so harshly.

Sword and Shield is without a doubt the worst, but Hop was one problem it did not have. Hop was the best character in that story.
