@sadboy these are indies. They can actually get their games out on time. And for a price we all can probably afford.

If COD comes over that will be the only shooter that matters to most anyway.

It doesn’t matter how Star Wars as a whole is doing. If you make an amazing game you help bring up the franchise. They did not do that. They made an ok Star Wars game in their open world format is what I hear. If they went farther it could have done better. But at this point assassin’s creed is the only thing they are good at. Sadly they are just not as good or creative as the Ubisoft I knew from my teen years that made beyond good and evil and the prince of Persia games 20 years ago.

They need a company that actually cares about the franchise to make a game like they did when bioware made knights of the old republic. Cause just cashing in on the name is not enough for anyone.

I don’t care what they would out. I don’t really care for my steam deck like others. It plays a good chunk of my steam games but not all of them. And I really don’t like messing with options just to get certain games to play that have the green check. Switch 2 is just put it in and it works. It is still early but I am loving my switch 2. Steam deck will probably be my first and last pc handheld. Or at least for now. Who knows where tech will take us in the next few years. But for now I will play my switch 2 and not listen to some YouTubers or whatever they are that got famous for saying things that are technical. I rather hear from game developers about how they make what they do than from DF.

Looks like the like they fixed crypt of the necrodancer. I keep forgetting to go back to it but it not working on switch 2 made me remember it. Now I think I will finally get past the first stage.

An eshop demo would be nice but I think a lot of us are sold now thanks to the direct. Can’t wait to play it next week.

They have my teams big player on it so I will get this one. But sadly it is only be for ps5. Wish the wnba edition was on the switch 2. But next year when this game is super cheap I might still get it. Not the biggest basketball fan at some times but the wnba has peaked my interest again. Last time I really followed Derrick rose was on the bulls team. But this will probably be the last on purpose basketball game I get this gen. Psn will probably give this game out next year though like they have the previous games but I want that cover to remember.

I accepted that the game series I loved as a preteen and teen is gone. The rare I knew is gone. And that Microsoft just makes windows pc’s. Cause my series s feels like junk now. The only game I am looking forward to from them is fable. But we saw less gameplay of that then perfect dark so I may have to make my peace with that too.

I am still not seeing the problem with game key cards. I did not get any at launch. But that was cause I didn’t get that many games at launch. The ones I got were on sale on the eshop with an upgrade option. I did download street fighter 6 but I had the ps5 disc already. But if they release a certain third party game that feels like it is pretty much on par with the other console versions I will get a game key in the future. Game keys to me just seem like some games I bought on ps5 that were ps4 disc that had an upgrade. I downloaded the game but I still have to have the ps4 disc inserted to play the game. So I am in on certain ones in the future.

@Knightrider1 they don’t have the money and time to do different versions anymore. They make one version and hope it makes profit on as many platforms as possible.

I am not playing the internets games. I am playing my switch and switch 2 games and having a good time.

The second knockout I did online I got first. But the many I have done after I have not made it back. I can barely make it far now. People know how to play the game now.

The screen is good to me. Anyone complaining about oled you do know that a 1080p VRR 120 hz screen with oled would make the price of switch 2 now would be reasonable. That would add $100 to $200 to the price of this. And the price of this system is probably not going down. So if you want to pay $550 to $650 (or your currency equivalent) down the line for the oled with no game included that is you. I am happy with what I have now. I don’t think I will get an oled model like I did for switch if it is released. I will definitely get a bigger express card when they are cheaper.

They also fixed mvc fighting collection and fighting collection 2. I got both on switch so I can now play both with no problems.

I got the screen protector delivered before my switch 2. And as soon as I opened it I put on the screen protector. And they make it even easier to put it on too. At least the one I got.

Are those Mario kart world numbers just the physical version or is it a mix of the consoles sold too?

Even in the last week before switch 2 and a brand new Mario kart comes out Mario Kart 8 is still selling. Never thought almost exactly 11 years ago that this game would not only be a best seller on Wii U but on the follow up system too. Can’t wait to finally play the next game in the series whenever my target store decides the real date it will send it to me. Hopefully that is this week and not the 11th that it has as the estimate.

This is still a weird series to me. I heard about the first one on pc but my pc has not strong enough to run games back then so I missed it. I was able to get the second game on 360 though. But the combat didn’t work for me. And I put it on hard mode. So I didn’t get far in that game. I debated even playing 3 but I did get it and finished it on ps4. Glad I did it was amazing. I still have not beat the second dlc expansion it got. If they did announce a switch 2 version and the price was low I might just finish that one switch 2. But whatever happens with that can’t wait to play the fourth game whenever that one comes out.

I hope they send mine out on time. It still has a between the 6th to 11th on my order. If they have enough for next day online orders and on the day in store orders mine better come on the 5th.

Any game I want I get. Sometimes I wait years. Sometimes I just get it at launch. Didn’t think I would pay $69.99 for games but I got a lot of ps5 and a few Xbox series games for that price. And if Nintendo charges $79.99 for a game series I really like I will do it. It’s not there yet. My Mario kart is $50. And the switch 2 editions are not going to do it. Maybe Metroid 4 but I hope that is $59.99 on switch and just a $10 upgrade to switch 2 and not more. But I probably a launch would still get it at whatever price they charge.

So I will do it depending on the game. But most companies outside of Nintendo drop the price for their games a month or two after launch. So higher prices will only probably be a thing for a little bit. Nintendo though rarely likes its games on sale now. So the price they charge will probably be that price the whole generation. So if you really want it and have the money get it. If not just wait.

I am ok with game key. If not don’t buy it but get the download. I am sorry the world is moving digital but it is what it is. I don’t complain when my pc and mobile games cause there is no physical option and you can lose some games and apps switching phones and tablets. So it doesn’t matter to me.

They really did not know what they wanted from this game. It was probably going to be a simple remaster with some quality of life updates thrown in. But they wanted more and kept moving it between studios. Now it sounds like a big remake. Hopefully the 5 year delay is worth it.

I remember playing this series in high school. And thinking Ubisoft was ahead of its time back then. Now 20 years later and they are so behind the curve it is scary. Hopefully making a linear non open world game will help change at least one part of its business. Assassins creed is good and all but not every game they make has to be an open world with only the story and weapon differentiating the different types of games they make.

The next 3d Mario is coming next year. They are going to use the same strategy as they did with the last Mario and game in 2023. Use the movie to build hype and get people wanting to play the next Mario game. They might even have the game be closer to the release of the movie.

I hope they bring Clair Obscure to switch 2. It may take a while but that looks like the kind of game I want on the go.

Super unfavorable take but I would choose a game key over code in the box. And I am still not as down on game key cards as the rest of the internet. I will probably get a few third party games like this. Physical on the card is the best but I will take other third parties coming to the system. Support is support.

Mario kart 8 and gta 5 have been in the top ten days constantly for a decade. So Mario kart competes. It is a different audience but they both sale like crazy. And realism is not needed in every game. People will complain about prices but prices are going up in these times. My Mario kart world is $50. It may be digital but I am ok with that.

I am sorry world. I tried to stop 47 three times. Sadly it only worked in 2020. And it will only get worse until he leaves office. That is why I am getting my switch 2 now before “keep the price” is the new online chant.

@AmyTheBrawler they said the update was coming late April. This qualifies as late.

I didn’t even know switch original had grip chargers until seeing the ones for the switch 2. I suppose after I got a pro controller I just didn’t follow other accessories except ring fit and labo. If the new joy cons feel good I may in the future get a charge grip for switch 2 in the future. Right now though I am getting a pro controller 2 cause people that went to the events Nintendo have sold me on getting it right out the gate. And the situation in the US with tariffs.

It is a nice little thing I look at everyday. It doesn’t stop me from coming here or other places.

With game sizes this big I wish they went with 512 instead. But they probably would have made the console $499. I wish the express sd cards were cheaper. And with the way my president is using tariffs these cards probably won’t drop in price for a while here. But I still got one.

Everyone is down on these cause the game is not on the card but downloading something and installing games is the norm now. I can’t play my physical ps5 games until they download on the console and download patches. So I won’t have a problem with these games even if I will have to delete stuff from time to time. The days of physical media are starting to draw to a close. Nintendo pretty much were the last keepers of it but times change.

If it can last past two weeks and not cost Sony hundreds of millions in losses they will definitely be on switch 2.

This is something like when I use a ps4 disc to play some of the ps5 versions of games I upgraded to. I downloaded the game but I still need the disc to verify I own it. It is not the best but it sounds better than getting a code that is stuck to one system. The downside is you have to download the game.

I may just get one game like this and see how it goes. I will not do this for many but it is what it is. Hopefully they try to get game sizes smaller. Size is going to go fast for this one. And those express cards are expensive. I hope they go down in price soon.

I was ok with the price of the system (I don’t know now though with the tariffs that will raise it to uncomfortable levels here the the US). But the game prices I am less ok with. I just got used to $70 games. $80 is too much. But luckily they have Mario kart come with the system even if it is a download code.

It will be rough for them though. Hopefully they can do something to bring us back to when we were just enjoying the reveal.

The appeal of Japanese games my whole life is that they feel different from western games or games made in the US. Like during the 360 era it seemed some Japanese studios tried to hard to appeal to western gamers. It resulted in a lot of bland games that had no heart. Nintendo though even when they try to appeal to as many people as possible they still like they are making very Japanese games. That is what has been making me get every Nintendo system since I got my first one an n64 on Christmas Day. Nintendo is still holding the line for Japan.

It has no release date outside of sometime this year and it is not coming out before the direct. So being announced for switch 2 is a given now. Even last year it seemed like this is also coming to switch 2 with the vague 2025 and how clean the trailer looked. Can’t wait for next month.

This year is too weird. Never thought I would hear that name again. Loved a lot of the games I played with them. Here is hoping they don’t go under again in the next few years. Cause even going small is not guaranteed now.

I am getting one this year day one so I don’t really care. I do have a oled switch and it is good but we need a more powerful system. And hopefully it works good with today’s tv. And just like with switch I may still get an oled down the line when it is available.

I so see both Pokemon and Metroid 4 being cross gen games. If so I am getting the switch 2 version of Metroid prime 4.

Looks like they only want to acknowledge the games were well received or were financial successes. Low sale games and bad ones helped them too. But who knows why they did it. I hope it is not cause they are making themselves look good for a sale. But after the certain people they lost they may have to do it.

Nintendo will shut this down. I don’t get making a kickstarter for an ip you don’t own and without the company’s permission.

90s Rare was a force. Today’s rare hasn’t made a new game in 7 years. They announced something but it is probably too ambitious for where they are now. If the ori developers want to try they maybe able to make something but good luck with getting Microsoft to fund that. Even though hearing that Astro bot cost less and was developed in a few years Microsoft may finally see they need the game. Plus if they put on all the consoles and pc’s it is bound to sell something.

@VHSGREMLIN they didn’t delay anything. They said they would announce it before the end of the financial year. Anything else you heard is just unofficial things that people now take as facts. Like all the sites reporting on a January 16 reveal and nothing looks to be announcing today. Patience is so nonexistent now.

In Japan Nintendo is still leading the game. The pass off to switch 2 will just be so unfair to the other two consoles next year. But they have not much that appeals to Japan coming up. Maybe some ps5 games but even those will probably only be on top for a week and still in the top 10 for maybe three weeks.

I am hearing way too many rumors. Nintendo needs to clear our heads with the actual specs on the tech soon. Or the basic level info they will tell. Won’t get the real details until someone opens it up and looks inside after it is available next year.
