This brings back down my hype for this game. The first Mario game on a nintendo system is supposed to bring the system up. I did not feel that last year and I am not feeling it this year. After galaxy I was kind of expecting next epic now I just don't know. Good games can come in small sizes but this is going to be the biggest game they have for wii u this year. I hope like someone you this is good compression but seeing how they have been missing there mark this year and pushing back games. I am a little worried they pushed this out just to meet the holiday need and did not go in feel.

We can blame third parties all we want but at the end of the day it is nintendo that signs off on this. We should get the same game on all systems but since nintendo has not been the best at getting support they let some third parties take shortcuts on their games. Unless a third party has a hit on the wii u expect this just like the last few gens to continue. I would say it should not continue but I don't want nintendo to start dipping on first party support just so they can have on more games from third party games and more on par games.

Leaks are a thing that are nothing new in their digital age. We know all about the next iPhone or ipad months before it is out. Most know to avoid leaks by not following the game or going to unconfirmed articles. Outside of this article I would not know this was happening. And the previews you guys do and other sites do pretty much spoil most games anyway. And this is Pokemon. It is not like they are spoiling much people already don't know in the leaks. There are gyms, Pokemon, towns, and it is 3d. Not really much to spoil here. And if you are talking about the Pokemon as leaks I don't really care. We are going to know who most are in a week. So leaks are bad but if you want to avoid just don't look for them.

This would have maybe been smart two years ago. Now it would be stupid. The has been going down since 2011 even before the wii u was a thing. It would have help that year. Now wii u and 3ds are the priorities. The vita tv exist because Sony is very desperate. The vita is tanking bad. And no games are in site to fix that. The wii u is not doing great but unlike vita it has some big games coming next year that will push up wii u sales. So unless you want a super downgraded wii or wii u this idea does not need to be liked at.

I don't really care. If nintendo cares they can do something if not oh while well.

Summer is over so this better have flipnotes in it. Or better yet as soon as the direct is over it comes out.

I don't like buying games twice. So I am happy just playing it on 360. And for anyone saying this is the same game or not your cup of tea you are probably just fooling yourself. From the two days I have played this everything about it is awesome. Violence is the draw but they and so many full on activities to this game that even you haters of the franchise might be swayed to give this a look. You can play tennis, golf, save people from getting mugged or chasing a purse snatcher down and returning the purse, towing cars, scuba diving, racing on and off road, parachuting off mountains, and a lot more things that don't involve violence. So things are full featured enough they could be their own game but it is one game. So haters play this at a friends house (if you are 17 or 18 in some places) and see this is more than just driving and shooting, and why a lot of people are saying this is probably the best game of the year.

I understand what you are doing with this article but it comes off more like a Fox News article like the one against mass effect than a play happy games article. I love wind waker and will get it again since my last one on GameCube got messed up before I could beat it again. But I am getting gta. And you generalizing San Andreas because you did not play it is messed up to me. That game had a lot of fun things in it. What other game can you fly in a jet pack or and bike around Los Angeles to Las Vegas. And by now most have the systems to play this game on. And remember this is a game. It is not real. So if you feel bad when fake things happens what about real things? And just because you are in a part of your life where you can not play it don't make it seem like the ones of us who can are bad people. I am nice. But I have to see the world from all lights. That means from colorful games to red games. And I hope you do not watch breaking bad because that would also defeat your argument. Like I said I understand the reasons why this article is up but your opinion is more in the minority on this one.

Where is flipnote? Summer is almost over. So if it does not come next week, it might not come out at all this year.

I wished I waited for this deal. But if you have not played any or just a few of these games get this, you will not be disappointed.

They have done this before with games like marvel vs. capcom 2. But as soon as that became available digitally the prices went down. So the only way to stop them from doing this on old games is for companies to make games available digitally. And seeing that nintendo has been adding old systems to the vc and now the eshop and full games are available for wii u games. It is only a matter of time before GameCube games and wii games are on eshop. But to be a little fair here in the US this game can almost go for $200 used.

I watched the anime for this and played the gba game for this but I thought the franchise had gone away. Nice to know it still has some kick but seeing what looks like the same robots from over ten years ago does not make me think they are adding much to it. So even if this some how came here I would past on it.

@Bliquid how can you say that why Microsoft has said Japan is a tier 2 market? You never hear Sony or nintendo saying things like that. And most here have other systems so stop attacking him.

Are you sure this is true? I did not think stores could print anything. They order the games from companies and I thought the companies send them companies from there manufacturers they use. GameStop does usually not send used games in their normal cases. The only thing they did was order cases and printing the the slips in the cases. Nintendo would not be down with this so you guys really need to make sure this is true because it just sounds false.

When is flipnote coming? It was early August now it is tbd. Can you all get in contact with nintendo to see if it is still coming this month? I know they said something about the servers not being able to satisfy the world but they dated it and with all the 3ds's out there they should have been ready for this.

@kevinaa and what is wrong with that. They can do commericals and tv appearences or give a gaming site a scoop if they want a lot of people watching it. This is a cheap way to spread a message they control on a semi monthly basis. The game sites post if it is anything good and of course gamers will talk of forums and social media if the message is big enough. And it is weird to hate on them for giving messages like this on this monthly basis.

@Rizsparky this is also a free app that you don't have to pay for. So less complaining and more waiting is nice.

@MrBlutzIII activision has gone on record saying cod will not sell as much and behind that is now skylanders which went down too. And outside of those their games do not sell all that well. And since they now are using investors, all their moves will be watched. And if the that earnings report next year shows a big drop in profit the investors they have may back out. Meaning that reserve money they have may to be used to run the business. And they may just start the downfall there.

This is not a good time for them to do this. Cod may go down in sells this year. WOW is going down. And they killed all their other big franchises they had. What they think is a smart move could be the start of their fall.

@ScorpionMG wii u and other systems have digital services to release this game. I have most of the angry bird games for free. I don't play them much I just like getting free things on the App Store. They are trying to sucker people into buying these games. They probably think because it is in a package and close to full price it adds something. Nothing that merits this price seems added.

The rewards are better this year. Been platinum 5 times now and even though I wanted a download game as a reward again I think I will go with the cd. It is nice though if I went with a download game I could get it now.

@BlackStar9000 the game is in more languages there and localized in Europe. If you want region free replying to a comment I made is not going to change it. And it is a extra month is not going to kill you. Japan gets it a week after Europe. I am not even going to get it next month. I will probably wait some months so it bothers me not. And like I said we can go back and forward things will not change. Super point made!

@LAA how are you annoyed it is not region locked. None of the other consoles they have released have done so. What makes this different? We have know it was region locked for over a year now now so come off that. And people say end region locking but never give a game as a example.

I was not getting this. But since I do want that cross over game (I am a big sucker for crossover games) and I have and registered fire emblem I see no harm in getting this. There is nothing else coming this month I was going to get.

I would not expect a game like this to sell well. But that may also be to low shipments of this. But yeah it is a niche game that only some gamers like me would like. It is something kind of cool though having all these characters even from games I never heard of coming together.

@theblackdragon the games that did not come here to America are ones I wanted. They were the niche ones. And we get a lot of games all ready. I have a ps3 and have not imported anything. I only have one import game on ds but I can still play it on 3ds. So importing still means nothing to me. Region locking is fine by me. If ps4 was region locked I would still get it next year. So people can complain about it but things will not change.

If you have a wii u or 3ds you know going in they were region locked. And nintendo does not move to the beat of Sony or Microsoft. And importing is expensive anyway. It is cheaper just to buy games in your region and if it is not I am sorry for you. Games are wants not needs. We don't need games. We need food we need shelter.

This game is to creepy. So things should just not get news articles this being one to me. They look like girls and grown man buy this and marry them. That is pretty sick to me. Something's just need to only stay in Japan this being one of them.

I have a ps3 and the only import games I have are part of the 2011 welcome back program. I got one import game on my ds. Region locking means nothing to me. But I live in the US and I can wait for games. I cannot read Japanese so importing is mostly useless. And Europe did get games before the US for the first time but I waited for them. If nintendo every changed I would not care. I know some people like to import but that is some not all.

Some companies can do dlc well like the dlc from fallout 3 and new Vegas. A lot of times a company like ea almost cuts parts of the games out so they can be dlc which is not something I like. And companies like capcom go and lock dlc on the disc. I liked the fire emblem dlc because it feels like something extra that would not be in the game other wise. And the luigi dlc looks ok. I don't think I am getting it, since I don't have the original game, and I rather pay the cheaper price. But going forward nintendo may be able to keep doing dlc right.

These pics were live on the site on Tuesday. I like the look of the 3ds game. And the outlines may look a little funny but once we play this next year people will be thankful for them. As it makes the characters easy to see, something that will be a little harder on the 3ds screen.

I picked smash but that is mostly because of megaman and its smash. But Mario kart 8 really impressed me. X is looking like next gen. Bayonetta 2 and 101 look awesome. That 3d Mario game looks fun but it is missing that polish and the multiplayer looks to destroy what made 3d Mario good. I don't know about that one. It might just be that galaxy was so good that we expect another new masterpiece. This does seem to take a little bit of the design from the 3ds one.

I just buy games. I buy them used, new, and digital. For this I went digital since it was up at midnight. I like physical but that is not going to stop me from going digital for some games.

This will be my first one. I would have got it on the cube but it looked to weird for me at the time and smash was just the game to get. I would have passed on this but ign had to post a prediction episode while they played animal crossing. And one of them had this awesome house. So awesome it made me download this at midnight. I hope this will be good.

Sony makes good m games but that is not what I want from nintendo. At least their internal studios in Japan. They make fun games that I don't have to worry about the after taste they will have. Killing in gaming is common but it gets to the point some times that it is crazy. I rather have nintendo make a game like journey. No killing or blood but a emotional experience that feels great while you are doing it. This article needs to define what mature is to since mature only means blood and violence to most gamers. Sure you have emotion but that is through killing or some violence. I will play last of us because it is doing to be great but don't impose what they are doing to nintendo. Nintendo has said their stance on these games. So if you keeping waiting for a bloody mature game you will not get it from them. And with the teams they have now don't expect a bloodfest game either. They have had games like this in the past but no one outside me bought them. And others do the games better so why should nintendo do this when they do other things better. Maybe if they partner with a third party they could make the game you are talking about.

@JHardin1112 this is a year old port. It is can be a good game but it is cheaper and has more content on other systems most of us own. And since we clamor for gameplay here this game is not acceptable at that with its missing features. Did not buy it last and I am definitely not getting it this year.

Did not play this on for reasons I still can not explain. But it looks like my 3ds is going to have more gold coming to it.

This game is not leaving Japan. Why write this and give nintendo more bad press? Yes gay rights are important but isn't this a children's game in Japan. They don't know gay straight or whatever they just want something fun to play. Pieces like this make more of a impact if it was on some kind of other game. I did not see a article here saying why no gay relationships in fire emblem. Only when they remove something they probably did not have in the first place. Lets leave it as that. Until you all are really ready to make a real piece about gay rights and how all games that have relationships in them should have gay relationships to as default in the game, stop adding fire to the flame you all are probably not ready to deal with.

Last time I checked rockstar had nothing to do with take two's sports games. So this definitely sounds like false info.

They worded the monster hunter 4 like that because if and hopefully when it's announced here it will not be in this fiscal year.

Since this is releasing on pc and wii u and they said if they get more funding and more support pass the goal price they would consider other platforms too. I am pretty sure that is why it is not called eternal darkness 2. Nintendo did recently renew the trademark so maybe they have their own team making a sequel. Who really knows what is going on though.

@andreoni79 ours was not always good. And the games we can get are mostly dsiware, wiiware, and vc games. So they are not new games that came out recently.

By then something new will probably be out that makes smartphones and tablets like uncool in consumers eyes and why will still be here.
