@Pineapple_Mohawk This. I hate games like Persona and FE:TH that put you on a timer, as it makes me want to look up a guide to make sure I don't miss out on something important.

@iconmaster I actually found the 2007 movie DS games to be really good. "San Andres w/ Robots" sums them up well, the Story for the Decepticons version specifically is very well done.

Sounds kind of like Cybertron Adventures for the Wii, which was a Railshooter with vehicle segments. Will wait for reviews, but depending on price I might just buy it regardless.

@DripDropCop146 The Campaign of Rise of the Dark Spark was awful in story and difficulty, but the Escalation Mode was the best of the 3 games weirdly enough. It had all the best aspects of WFC's & FOC's, expanded on them, and added new things like Wave Bosses.

@Maubari I'm pretty sure Nintendo's the one disrespecting it and the fans' respect for it is why they're disappointed. Games like Super Mario 3D World and Kirby's Return to Dreamland got entire extra campaigns along with general gameplay additions, while both modern DKC games just get tweaks to make them a little easier.

An underwhelming port yeah, but the fact that it's the 'worst' thing from it shows how packed with goodies the Direct was. Of course should it be released for $50 or $40 the price would completely justify it.

I mean they'd have to be pretty insane to not release a Beat 'Em Up on a console with Co-Op available at all times due to each Joycon being able to work as a separate controller.

Calling it a 'service' is pretty generous IMO... but hopefully it improves regardless.

I don't care about framerate as long as it's mostly stable and the graphics as long as they look decent.

It wouldn't be such a problem if Nintendo games actually went on sale, but the most they get discounted is by 20 bucks, which is not much especially for games that came out in 5+ years ago.

@link3710 What 'unique concept' did SV do? 'Open world w/ multiple storylines', something that's been the norm for decades? At least I had to pay attention when playing Let's Go, and it wasn't easy to get stupidly overleveled.

There's so many things about the Switch & Pokemon that were disappointed. SV & SwSh sold amazing despite being mid at best even excluding performance issues, Let's Go & Legends sold much worse despite being much more interesting games, and aside from mobile game ports, the Switch was dead for spin-offs - we got NewSnap which was fun, Rescue Team DX which was good but just a remake, & Pokken DX which is just a port. And a lack of spin-offs just puts more attention on the mainline games, which in this case is not good.

Can't wait to wanna do this and completely forget its happening until it's over by an hour. For like, the 6th or 7th time.

A Fallout 3 Remaster was/is allegedly in the works according to the Microsoft-Bethesda leaks. But since everything was pushed back, it might not release before the next Nintendo console.

You can also enter the Codes 'YGO25MD' & 'YGO25DL' for a PFP and Sleeves, and if you have someone's referral code and are Bronze 4 or lower/a Returning Player, you can get a free Swordsoul Deck, and if you get to Bronze 4 (which is only 3 Wins + you can't Rank Down), you get more cards for it.

Would love them see them tackle a Marvel/Spider-Man one, though that seems like it'd be a massive licensing nightmare in comparison with all the different rights holders & clauses.

@Spider-Kev Only difference from what I saw in the screenshot between home versions & 3DS is they put all the HUD stuff like the equipped weapon & map on the bottom screen that were just on the one screen originally.

Don't get upset - it could've been any other show, movie, comic, etc. and it'd still suck. 'Outright Games' is like the modern LJN logo on a kids games.

@Spider-Kev Retro City Rampage DX is on Switch though. In fact it's on sale for about 2 more days iirc. A Spectrobes collection or reboot would be amazing, but I doubt that'd ever happen.

Pokemon Platinum, since keeping the story of Diamond & Pearl but adding the fixes of Platinum was beyond TPC.

@OFFICIALMichi I'm not sure between fees and reputation if it'd be worth it for the people involved sadly. That and since it was very much a product of it's time when these games were not widely available.

I understand Lumiose City is in the dead center of Kalos, but until I see it in action, it doesn't sound that great an idea. And at this point in time GF ain't exactly known for nailing executions of their ideas.

Like most people seem to be voicing, I'll be waiting for a sale. The Beat 'Em Up genre's finally revitalized in recent years, so between ports, re-releases, & actual new games, I've already got plenty on backlog.

@DogDetective You gotta remember this was made ground-up to look and play like this, not a scuffed port where the game and graphics were made separately 'n mashed together. I've heard it's no Shredder's Revenge or Turtles in Time, but it's still a good Beat 'Em up in it's own right.

Aside from the obvious Rare Replay, I feel Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, & Fable 1-3 would fit in easily with Nintendo & PlayStation ecosystems. We know Oblivion and Fallout 3 are getting Remasters at some point, and since New Vegas is in the same Engine it only makes sense to get one too.

If they were remakes of HGSS specifically I feel like it'd be that Game Category instead. New Let's GO games would be interesting but feel unlikely with how mixed people felt about the originals with more popular Pokemon. A Legends game taking place in Johto & Kanto as one Region before separating would be cool. But most likely just RBY & GSC coming to NSO, maybe with Home support if we're lucky.

@BodkinDQ If I had to guess, this existing is more for PS & Xbox than Switch. But they're not gonna be weird like Bandai with the Digimon games and not release it on the original Platform in case there were any holdouts.

@PikaPhantom This. I'm taking a long break from the main games, but if they make a new PMD or Pokken etc. I'd eagerly give it a chance. In the meantime though, I'm gonna go back to RPGs I either skipped or wanna replay.

Couldn't force myself to do the post-game or anything else after beating Violet. It's so sad seeing Emerald & Platinum near the bottom because they'll never get proper remakes.

Maybe they had exactly 61 bad localizers currently earning the ire of people?

The AI use of pre-existing Pokemon was more or less debunked, with the origins of it going back to someone reacting to a Buzzfeed article saying something along the lines of 'they look AI generated'. And naturally none of the people screaming fact checked this. That and Steam forces companies to state if the game was made using any AI assets, again, not like I'd expect them to know.

Capcom U.S.A. Inc. v. Data East Corp. showed you need more than similarities to have a case, and Fighter's History was way closer to SF2 than Palworld is to Pokemon. So if this goes to court I don't see TPC winning, and that's more wasted money that could've gone to making their own product better.

Ah yes, bigger problems in the gaming community like Soulslikes & Metroidvanias, entire genres that exist of the coattails and ideas of specific games. Kirby gets a lot of random spin-offs, so I hope they're for those. Tragically Pokemon does not anymore. However, I still have not recovered from Kirby's Epic Yarn getting a Remaster for 3DS instead of Switch, the year the Switch came out, so fingers crossed.

Brawl was the peak for Casual Smash content, should be way higher.

@McBurn That's the thing none of the critics or articles point out though - outside of catching monsters, it plays nothing like Pokemon. If anything the 'copied homework' as NintendoLife put it was copied from ARK - the same game but instead of dinosaurs there's monsters. Even then, most of the designs give off Neopets and Spectrobes vibes more than Pokemon as someone who loves anything with monsters as the focus.

IDK, there's been a few duds but I think SE is doing pretty good right now. I'd hate to see niche or more specific concepts go out the door for the more streamlined stuff.

@RADMO So by your logic, no one can make a blue turtle because Squirtle exists. So the character Slash from TMNT is a rip-off of Squirtle and needs to be removed from all media, because he is a blue turtle. And you want people to take your screaming at these devs seriously.

@RADMO Oh I do apologize, Meowth is based off the Japanese beckoning-cat (that I can't spell the actual name of), a different pre-existing thing based off a regular cat. Purrloin is just a regular cat. But I won't get angry at you or the other people screaming not knowing of any mythologies or legends who think Pokemon invented dragons & fairies.

I think people need to be reminded that every Pokemon design ever is also based off something that already exists. I'm sorry, but TPC does not own Anubis or kitsune or cats or anything similar because they made Lucario, Ninetales, & Meowth - that's not how that works.
