@old-dad Wouldn't put money on it considering it's Outright Games. They Publish... very, VEEEERY basic, entry level games. And even then meh is on the higher side if you're lucky.
Oh, comes out the same day as the next free DLC for PowerWash Sim. Which is... actually a good thing, 'cuz I'm broke and that gives me a bit more time to collect pennies lol
Still waiting for Metroid: Samus Returns and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn to come to an HD console, that they should've been made for in the first place instead of an old handheld on the way out.
Imagine defending Rockstar for this as a customer when they removed it from the PS3 store, removed it from the PS4/5 streaming service for PS3 games, & stopped discounting the backwards compatible 360 version to push this incomplete port.
I don't mind the design idea, but something like this would only look good if it was large in game, and very awkward if not. And let's be real, it's gonna be like 2 feet max taller than a 10yo. Would honestly look a lot better if the neck was half the size, at an angle, but still stretched out and retracted for animations in-game, say to attack with Crunch or upward like it is to summon/attract lightning.
Trading Card Game is a great addition. Stadium 2 like the first game is only good for the mini games and playing against friends with the bad Rentals w/o a way to connect to the main games. Hope they add Pinball, Pinball R&S, & Red Rescue Team if the main games won't happen.
@Axecon You have no idea how true this is. Was disgruntled with SwSh and tried things like Octopath Traveler & Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and they felt so amazing in comparison to main games since Gen 5.
There's a reality out there where to finish off the trilogy, Kohga gets serious and takes up the trope of trying to bring back Ganondorf/Ganon, using his and the Yiga Clan's (surprising) understanding of ancient technology. And most importantly they make Sooga canon, the actual only flaw of TOTK.
I got to try Pikmin 3 when Nintendo gave away a second game with MK8 on Wii U, and while I enjoyed it, it wasn't quite something I'd go out of my way to play again. Like a lot of Nintendo games though, if they had reasonable sales like other systems, I'd probably buy it just to have it. But the term 'Nintendo Tax' exists for a reason sadly.
Pokemon Pinball, but only because it'd be the easiest to do. For some reason Nintendo doesn't like doing budget, small-scale releases for any IP but Kirby, but Pokemon Pinball would be perfect as a $20 or $30 digital title.
How about just remakes Sega, Sonic 06 & Sonic Boom were attempted reboots and... yeah...
Though I'd prefer seeing a few more spin-offs too. A new Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing would be cool. A Chao Garden Virtual Pet game filled with a bunch of mini games to earn Rings and compete with the Chao would be a Day One purchase from me.
Rebooting/Remaking Sonic Chronicles would work unlike some DS games where the second screen matters so much. Instead of having to to crazy stuff with the touch screen they could just do specific and or timed inputs like the South Park RPGs did. Remove some of the stupid features, completely redo the soundtrack, & release it as a $40 budget title and see how well it sells to go from there.
Well you know maybe when it goes on a good sale I'll- oh. Right. Nintendo games never go on sale, at least not good ones. Guess it's a pass no matter what.
No Transformers games will ever dethrone the Activision ones, but on the bright side, I refuse to believe it can be worse than the last one that was a bad RTS.
It's an Ubisoft game which people know will be $13 or less after a year with all the DLC included. It's also an RTS which isn't a super popular genre when compared to others, and a crossover with the Rabbids, which are very specific too. If it was a launch title or Year 1 release for whatever's next it would've helped, but that would've helped any game.
Always hate when this shows up in a Worst Pokemon Game list, because it's as much a game as Pokemon Box Ruby & Sapphire, Home, or Bank. The few cute interactions you can do don't really change that it's just storage. Granted it's arguable the worst when it comes to said storage functionality, between the Western version not getting an update for Platinum, only being able to add Pokemon from up to 8 individual saves, and being unable to transfer Pokemon to the save of another game, but... it's still not a game.
@michellelynn0976 Maybe some day you'll learn you're able to be critical of something and still like it... but probably not. I'm sure when a company like EA release something that isn't perfectly optimized for Nintendo's hardware you'll be first to throw a stone though.
If it's only Local or Online it'll be a hard pass without a massive discount. I was so excited for River City Girls 1 then found out it was Local only, and any Beat 'Em Up today really needs to have both as an option.
There will always be a reason for a Game Shark/Action Replay/Powersave to exist for Pokemon specifically because no matter how hard they try and make it less painful, the process of breeding and training Pokemon is beyond tedious. Even now where you can buy all the Items to make a perfect Pokemon, you still need to grind a ton to get the money to afford those items. Every aspect of it is inherently not fun and gatekeeps so many people from even attempting anything outside of Battling friends.
@Cashews Comments like this that pop up any and every time there's an article about a port on Nintendo hardware makes me wonder why companies even bother. If it's not a perfect port you complain, if it's an optimized port you complain, and if they don't port it you complain. So why not just always take Option C and not port it if the consumer is gonna complain no matter what??
And yeah, I'm sure not spending resources on a port for the only Platform the game isn't on and would only get the developer ire from the community is gonna devastate the company. How? Don't ask - they'll be bankrupt tomorrow because it's that tragic for them.
@Ryu_Niiyama Oh no, from a gameplay perspective it was fine, but it ran and looked not great even for a Switch game. Even then with all the DLC the roaster was basically just that of the first game with a few new faces, except you had to pay way more extra this time.
@Ryu_Niiyama Loved X-Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance. Sadly Ultimate Alliance 3 was the result of a monkey's paw wish where it happened at the cost of being a poorly made Switch exclusive, so I'd be worried for a new X-Men Legends game.
I don't think it's a game with enough broad appeal like Hogwarts Legacy to warrant a delayed Switch port TBH. And that's assuming it'd have been optimized well and not another subpar port.
It's probably gonna be borderline shovelware, but I hope it's good. With the wide assortment of gadgets they've used, it'd give them a ton of stuff to mess with for gameplay.
@MisanthropyAGoGo If they do cut off Smite support, I'd have to assume Switch probably has the smallest or least profitable playerbase for their games. If they do include Smite it'll lean towards that, because I'd have to assume that's their money maker with how much support it gets over any of their other products.
But if Smite stays, what I just said is the reason - every one of their games besides Smite is an afterthought and get minimal updates, content, promos, etc. by comparison. For every 1 update Paladins gets, Smite gets 2 or 3 and they're much bigger in scale.
It's a fun game, but the Matchmaking wait can be rough and it can be a bit grindy, but then again if you're not at the top of the F2P food chain that's always the case. Wonder if they'll also axe Smite on Switch next.
It's crazy because there's so many of these they could do and just don't. If there's no new games why not do Events for older ones? Why not do more repeat Events for ones people missed? There's so much they could be doing for Tetris 99 and it really feels like an afterthought.
At least it's good with a friend. The Rental Pokemon are fine for VS and the mini games are fun, but you're not getting anywhere in the solo content with the Rentals. When Kadabra is one of the best Pokemon, you know it's rough.
I wanna be sad, but unless you were going IRL most companies have just been doing digital events anyways, and doing them year-round to boot so you have to wait less for news.
