Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Raging Bolt In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

shoeses

I don't mind the design idea, but something like this would only look good if it was large in game, and very awkward if not. And let's be real, it's gonna be like 2 feet max taller than a 10yo. Would honestly look a lot better if the neck was half the size, at an angle, but still stretched out and retracted for animations in-game, say to attack with Crunch or upward like it is to summon/attract lightning.

Re: Poll: Pikmin 4 Is Out On Switch This Week, Will You Be Getting It?

shoeses

I got to try Pikmin 3 when Nintendo gave away a second game with MK8 on Wii U, and while I enjoyed it, it wasn't quite something I'd go out of my way to play again. Like a lot of Nintendo games though, if they had reasonable sales like other systems, I'd probably buy it just to have it. But the term 'Nintendo Tax' exists for a reason sadly.

Re: Sega President Teases Possible Sonic "Reboots And Remakes"

shoeses

How about just remakes Sega, Sonic 06 & Sonic Boom were attempted reboots and... yeah...

Though I'd prefer seeing a few more spin-offs too. A new Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing would be cool. A Chao Garden Virtual Pet game filled with a bunch of mini games to earn Rings and compete with the Chao would be a Day One purchase from me.

Re: Sonic Chronicles Sequel Details Revealed By Former BioWare Lead Designer

shoeses

Rebooting/Remaking Sonic Chronicles would work unlike some DS games where the second screen matters so much. Instead of having to to crazy stuff with the touch screen they could just do specific and or timed inputs like the South Park RPGs did. Remove some of the stupid features, completely redo the soundtrack, & release it as a $40 budget title and see how well it sells to go from there.

Re: Soapbox: The Shame Of Revisiting My Abandoned Pokémon Ranch

shoeses

Always hate when this shows up in a Worst Pokemon Game list, because it's as much a game as Pokemon Box Ruby & Sapphire, Home, or Bank. The few cute interactions you can do don't really change that it's just storage. Granted it's arguable the worst when it comes to said storage functionality, between the Western version not getting an update for Platinum, only being able to add Pokemon from up to 8 individual saves, and being unable to transfer Pokemon to the save of another game, but... it's still not a game.

Re: Soapbox: 15 Years Ago, The Action Replay Ruined Pokémon For Me

shoeses

There will always be a reason for a Game Shark/Action Replay/Powersave to exist for Pokemon specifically because no matter how hard they try and make it less painful, the process of breeding and training Pokemon is beyond tedious. Even now where you can buy all the Items to make a perfect Pokemon, you still need to grind a ton to get the money to afford those items. Every aspect of it is inherently not fun and gatekeeps so many people from even attempting anything outside of Battling friends.

Re: Marvel's Midnight Suns On Switch "No Longer Planned"

shoeses

@Cashews Comments like this that pop up any and every time there's an article about a port on Nintendo hardware makes me wonder why companies even bother. If it's not a perfect port you complain, if it's an optimized port you complain, and if they don't port it you complain. So why not just always take Option C and not port it if the consumer is gonna complain no matter what??

And yeah, I'm sure not spending resources on a port for the only Platform the game isn't on and would only get the developer ire from the community is gonna devastate the company. How? Don't ask - they'll be bankrupt tomorrow because it's that tragic for them.

Re: Marvel's Midnight Suns On Switch "No Longer Planned"

shoeses

@Ryu_Niiyama Oh no, from a gameplay perspective it was fine, but it ran and looked not great even for a Switch game. Even then with all the DLC the roaster was basically just that of the first game with a few new faces, except you had to pay way more extra this time.

Re: Hi-Rez Studios Is Ending Support For Hero Shooter 'Paladins' On Switch

shoeses

@MisanthropyAGoGo If they do cut off Smite support, I'd have to assume Switch probably has the smallest or least profitable playerbase for their games. If they do include Smite it'll lean towards that, because I'd have to assume that's their money maker with how much support it gets over any of their other products.

But if Smite stays, what I just said is the reason - every one of their games besides Smite is an afterthought and get minimal updates, content, promos, etc. by comparison. For every 1 update Paladins gets, Smite gets 2 or 3 and they're much bigger in scale.

Re: Unlock A Special Kirby Theme In Tetris 99 This Weekend

shoeses

It's crazy because there's so many of these they could do and just don't. If there's no new games why not do Events for older ones? Why not do more repeat Events for ones people missed? There's so much they could be doing for Tetris 99 and it really feels like an afterthought.
