Thanks for this article. Someone really needed to get people talking about this. These apps aren't freebies, they're part of a paid subscription service. Imagine if Netflix just stopped adding shows for three months.
This makes me want an F-Zero that expands on the universe a little bit more. Kinda like the story mode in F-Zero GX, but maybe with branching paths or something.
@Ralizah Oh no you really didn't like Layton's Mystery Journey? I was hoping it would be pretty good, so I was planning to get it on Switch, but maybe I'll pass on it since your list is very close to how mine would go, and you have such a low opinion of it. Sad, cause I'm pretty desperate for a new game in the series
I don't get all this hate for the graphics. I think this is a really great looking game, and definitely the best looking 3D Pokémon game by a long shot.
There's no way they're running out of games! Just please gimme Faxanadu. Also Dragon Warrior (any of em), maybe Final Fantasy? Battle of Olympus, Star Tropics 2, Crystalis, Wizards & Warriors, Battletoads, Journey to Silius, Ninja Gaiden 2 or 3? Maniac Mansion, The Guardian Legend, Karnov, Shadowgate, Deja Vu, Uninvited, Rygar? And I'm not even listing Capcom and Konami games since they don't appear to be participating in the thing.
So weird, I was thinking about this game just this morning! One of my favorites on the 3DS, even though it wasn't super popular. Nintendo should port it to the Switch or make a sequel so more people can give it a try!
I have this on PC, and while it's a very cool looking, creepy game, I found the controls confusing, and the gameplay in general very difficult to get a handle on. If I didn't play it for a few days, I felt like I had to take a bit of time just to relearn how to do basic things like use items or swing a weapon. I'd love to give it another try if they could tweak it to be a little more intuitive, cause it definitely seems like something I would enjoy a lot otherwise.
Ehhh. Why add three super shallow games at once? How about Faxanadu? Dragon Warrior? Battle of Olympus? The Guardian Legend? There are so many great games left...
Because of the nature of the Switch, a new model can't really be a different size, and also can't have permanently attached joycons. (Otherwise it wouldn't be compatible with many games, including the Labo, which is sorta aimed towards children.)
I really can't imagine what this is gonna end up being, other than maybe the same console, but with cheaper parts inside.
I wouldn't mind a few little tweaks and bug fixes. I keep running into stuff like giving someone a gift, having it say I already gave them a gift, and then if I talk to them again, they respond to the gift.
And then little things, like being able to rotate while charging up a tool so you're not stuck in the direction you started, or maybe a tooltip showing that you can rotate furniture (I honestly got 40 hours in before finding that out on the internet).
I haven't finished up this game yet though, so new updates are always appreciated no matter what they contain!
These are two great games, but wasn't there an article recently saying Nintendo wanted more people to subscribe to this service? Short changing NA on these releases every month isn't exactly helping that problem.
@Medic_alert I'd also love to be able to hide the special games. At the moment I just have em at the bottom of my list, but with two more this month they're kinda starting to pile up.

Re: Nintendo's Huge Cyber Deals Sale Hits North America, Up To 50% Off Top Switch And 3DS Games
A saaaaale? In MY region? Apparently there's even more than what's in that list. I was thinking I'd like to get Thumper, and now it's like 75% off!
Re: Glorious Scans Of A Forgotten 1992 F-Zero Novel Have Surfaced Online

Re: Music: Treat Your Ears To This Official Hollow Knight Piano Collections Album
The album art is fantastic. They should sell prints of that.
Re: Over 150 Switch Games Discounted In Nintendo Cyber Deals Sale (Europe)
Woah a sale. I would buy a couple games, but I'm in Canada, and sales are not really a thing here apparently.
Re: Poll: Vote For Your Favourite Professor Layton Game
@MajorasLapdog Ah that's too disappointing! But good to know I guess. I'll spend that money on something better now.

Re: Introducing The Virtual Boo, Professor E. Gadd's New Communication Device In Luigi's Mansion 3
I'm also a little disappointed that I saw this here and not in the game. Not a huge deal, but a spoiler warning would have been nice.
Re: Stardew Valley Creator Outlines Next Update, Improves "Every Aspect" Of The Game
Pretty cool! Great to see the creator still putting time into this game.

Got one, but I really wish they had included a home button so it could be a little more versatile.
Re: SNES Games Are Officially Headed To Switch Online, And 20 Titles Release Tomorrow
Now we're talking! And this is a great starting lineup! Quite a few games I've been wanting to go through again.

Stuff like this makes me think gamers don't deserve games.

Man I'd love to get the BOTW expansion pass on sale, but I'm not in Europe
Re: It’s Official: The Switch Online Service Has Surpassed 10 Million Subscribers
Dedicated servers already! I know the service isn't expensive, but paying to play p2p online is sorta weeeird.
Re: Layton's Mystery Journey - Deluxe Edition Gets Western Release Date On Switch
I'll grab it as long as it's priced reasonably close to the 3DS game.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Will Not Support Cloud Saves
Augh, please figure it out Nintendo. It's a paid service and it kinda sucks when it intentionally doesn't work.

Re: Hardware Review: Retro Fighters Brawler64 Controller - A Crowdfunded Upgrade To Your Battered Original?
Imagine if this is what came with the original N64 instead of that weirdo controller.
I wish more analogs would have that hexagon shape around em.

This is great news! I wonder if it'll feature some new tunes.
Re: 'Meowtroidvania' Game Gato Roboto Pounces Onto Switch Next Week
Looks cool, but I can't figure something out... are these the same guys that made Minit?
Re: Survival Horror Darkwood Brings The Scares To Switch Today, New Launch Trailer Released
@RickD It really does look great in motion. There's something about the art that gives it a neat depth. The audio is also pretty fantastic.
I still have it installed, maybe I should try playing with a keyboard instead of a controller for a bit and see how it feels.

Yeah the My Nintendo stuff couldn't be any less interesting. I just toss my coins at a discount on Switch games every so often.
Re: Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl Gold Rated By The Australian Classification Board
Oooh it looks a little bit like Fantasy Life, so maybe it'll be great.
Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Want Achievements On Switch?
As long as I can turn off the notifications, I couldn't care less whether they exist or not.
Re: Rumour: "Cheaper Version Of The Switch" Expected To Launch By The End Of June

Re: Random: Reggie's Most Touching Retirement Gift Was A Custom-Made Satoru Iwata amiibo
I can't believe how awesome it must be to have been in a "gang" that consists of you, Iwata, and Miyamoto.
Re: Reminder: Reggie Fils-Aimé Retires As Nintendo Of America President Today
Truly one of Nintendo's greatest characters. Enjoy your time off Reggie!
Re: Konami Releasing Anniversary Collection Series On Nintendo Switch
This is cool, but I wonder if this means we won't see any Castlevania or Contra games on the Switch NES app?
Re: Nintendo's Tom Nook Tax Day Tweet Has Sent Animal Crossing Fans Into Overdrive
Obviously this means Reggie is giving us Mother 3 as a parting gift.
Re: Kid Icarus And StarTropics Join The Switch Online NES Library This Month

Re: Dragalia Lost Has Generated More Revenue Than Mario And Animal Crossing On Mobile
Seems like a cool game, I should give it a try. Loads up the Canadian App Store...
Re: 1TB Micro SD Cards Are About To Hit Stores, Perfect For Your Switch Storage Woes
The real question is are you able to get one that isn't a counterfeit.
Re: Sega Wants To Know Which Games You'd Like On The Mega Drive Mini

Nice, I was hoping for this one.
Re: Reminder: Zelda II And Blaster Master Hit Switch Today, Plus Two New Special Edition NES Games

Re: Blaster Master And Zelda II Arrive On The Switch Online NES Service This Month
These are two fantastic games, but can they really not pick a third? If they need suggestions I can list about 100 worthy NES titles.
Re: Treat Yourself To A Bargain Or Two With The Nintendo New Year's Sale In North America
This convinced me to finally pick up Just Shapes & Beats. So far really enjoying it!
Re: Looking For A Brand New Wii U? That'll Be $800 Please
I just wish I could get a second white gamepad for a reasonable cost. Eventually that thing is gonna die or wear out and then my Wii U will be no good
