The latest batch of My Nintendo game discounts for North America has now gone live, giving players the usual chance to grab a handful of games at discounted prices.
There are nine games up for grabs this time around, all for the 3DS and Wii U as usual and all at 30% off. As always, you can take advantage of these discounts by simply using the required Gold or Platinum My Nintendo Points listed below.
- [3DS] 30% off Kid Icarus: Uprising: 80 Gold Points
- [3DS] 30% off Metroid: Samus Returns: 90 Gold Points
- [3DS] 30% off Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: 90 Gold Points
- [3DS] 30% off Pocket Card Jockey: 110 Platinum Points
- [3DS] 30% off Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure: 140 Platinum Points
- [3DS] 30% off Hey! PIKMIN: 90 Gold Points
- [Wii U] 30% off The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: 500 Platinum Points
- [Wii U] 30% off Pandora's Tower: 300 Platinum Points
- [Wii U] 30% off Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones: 120 Platinum Points
You can also pick up a printable Splatoon 2 relationship chart. We've grabbed a screenshot for you below, but you can download a super high-resolution copy for just 10 Platinum Points (which you can easily acquire just by visiting Nintendo's site).
Will you be taking advantage of any of these offers? Remember, your Gold Points can also be spent on Switch software directly from the eShop or a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, too.

Wow this is just sad...
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay /s
Dam this suckz...
C'mon Ninty, Switch themes, folders and icon packs please!?!?
Pocket Card Jockey is a good game
Nintendo certainly abaondoned the Wii U quickly... except for their "rewards system."
Nintendo is aware that two years ago it released a pretty successful little console called “Switch”, yes?
I just got 300 platinum points for my birthday, with 150 points about to expire. The Splatoon relationship chart was about the only thing I could find to throw some points at.
Pandora's Tower is a great game!
Switch rewards coming never
@Desrever If you haven't checked out Pandora's Tower it's a really neat game.
I gave up on any Nintendo rewards a long time ago. The online subscription was supposed to have sales and goodies but... oh well.
Yeah the My Nintendo stuff couldn't be any less interesting. I just toss my coins at a discount on Switch games every so often.
I'm still amazed that Nintendo considers 30% off a "sale". Have they ever even seen a Steam sale?
Yet again, more garbage.
I'd rather just use my gold points to get a buck or two off a purchase on the EShop.
In sure we'll get Switch rewards in 2 years when the next console comes out, right?
And Japan always gets the cool physical rewards...
I’ll get Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and a couple 3DS games.
I didn’t get a Wii U till after it was discontinued and didn’t get the 3DS till 2016, so the rewards still have value to me plus I’v gotten some cool desktop backgrounds from them.
@CartoonDan No, it's a **great** game!
I can highly recommend Pocket Card Jockey, too!
At this point in time, why not just allow you to buy some full 3DS titles with your gold coins and eShop related stuff with platinum?
I honestly forgot this program existed for a bit, heh.
I mean at least we can just straight up buy games with gold points instead of cash now.
Sigh, you got me excited, I thought these were switch games on sale...
Okay, I haven't paid attention to these in a while. Do they still not even have Switch discounts? I just use my coins for eShop credit, so I haven't checked.
Dead horse I know, but can we move on from Wii U discounts....
I'm tempted by Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, but I'm also too lazy to upgrade my micro SD card at this point. I'll have to think about Pandora's Tower though; I've heard that one is decent.
I really wish gold coins had the two year limit like with Club Nintendo. I evidently had some expire.
I just bought a wolf link amiibo but I don't have tp HD yet.
Do you think 35 dollars is a good price?
Yup discounts for dead systems. Very exciting.
Good games listed. I passed on Metroid:SR but might just bite. I got 93 gold points currently, so need to see what it's 30% off "of" first to see if it's worth it. And I got really excited about this article thinking it was for Switch like outside NA... The saddening is maddening
The Scared Stones is the best Fire Emblem. I love the heavy monster theme instead of just soldiers+dragons, and pretty much every character is just golden.
I, too, love commenting negatively on something I had no intention of partaking in. I can internet.
@Arehexes
Well said...
@AlohaPizzaJack I need to find a better online source for the Waaaahmbulance.
Do people forget about the Gold coins we already receive on Switch? We can already use gold coins on any eShop game or DLC and they stack with sales too.
@Tyranexx Yeah, you know it’s rough when the paint on this Waaahmbulance fades and cracks.
Remember when they had a "Switch" section labeled as "coming soon" for 2 years and then just removed it?
@KryptoniteKrunch Sure, but how about some Switch extras like themes for rewards with gold/platinum points!
i'll just take the free theme and nothing else.
Maybe Pandora's Tower...
I miss the old nintendo rewards site
I find it weird that C.Q. Cumber is the only character in the Octo Expansion who isn't tied to Agent 8 in some way. They've been through so much together (plays "Test failed" montage.)
Huh not seeing them discounted in Canada, the most “North” of North America
I'd loooove to see a pocket card jockey sequel on Swiitch. Especially with a improved AI for less rage.
Having recently bought a Wii u I actually welcome these rewards
Kid Icarus Uprising and Metroid Samus Returns are two great games on 3ds
@NintendoByNature I just got a Wii U recently, too! These discounts definitely appeal to me, but I can understand the disappointment from other people.
...Ugh, just, stop...Nintendo...
I'm insulted, Nintendo.. why?
@MasterJay I got it on the Wii U and about 60% through the game. I think it's a pretty game. The HD upgrade makes it look nice. Now, it was created in an earlier era but I think the game is still nice to look at.
I still play my Wii U as my main console, and the 3DS. But dang I have had all these games for a long time. I am really surprised that we have not seen the Wii U version of Zelda BOTW go on points sale. I have noticed that typically about 6 months to 1 year after retail release they will make the game available for a points discount, but not so with BOTW.
@dcstud Ok, sounds good, thanks
Been waiting for a discount for Kid Icarus Uprising. About time.
That Splatoon flowchart is great. Printed for the kid.
Who actually still even plays games on the WiiU anymore?
@Terrible_Majesty I do.
@Leej07 I do too. I mean I’m surprised anyone is still buying games from the WiiU eshop. I thought that was shut down along with the Wii eshop
@Terrible_Majesty Oh no, it's still up. The Wii U and 3DS Eshops are both intertwined, and one cannot be shut down without the other, and it seems like Nintendo intends to keep the 3DS Eshop going for at least a couple more years, so the Wii U one will stick around at least as long.
@Leej07 thanks for the info!
