A more powerful Switch might be able to run Hollow Knight at 1080p in docked mode. This means we need a more powerful Switch for Silksong. Everything else is irrelevant.
This is sorta weird? The whole point of a glass screen is that it's more scratch resistant, but it can shatter. So they put a non-replaceable plastic film over it to protect you from shatters, but this film is probably more likely to get scratched? I would have just preferred a plastic screen that I could put a replaceable glass screen protector onto
I loved the first two and this one is definitely looking to exceed them! Also loved the Lappy cameo, does this mean there's gonna be some crossover with the Astral Chain world?
I tried the demo for this today and it's gooooooooooooooood. If it had come out in the GBA days it would have been one of the best games available I think.
I enjoyed this game but I found the amount of limited time events and content actually became overwhelming after a while. I’d rather they slowed it down a bit to be honest.
Pretty cool move! How is the ping system in Apex Legends different from the one in something like League of Legends though? I haven’t really played it much.
This is one of those games that would require minimal effort for a remaster. It still looks great with the pixely low res graphics. I just hope they can license the fantastic soundtrack, it just isn’t the same without it.
I played this for a few minutes over the weekend and it looks sooo good. Anyone else notice the glitch with Fi's dialogue font though? I wonder if they'll patch it.
I just got this game recently and am enjoying it, but there are definitely improvements that could be made. Maybe the devs read this site, so I’ll list my thoughts:
No way to view the area goals once you’re in a level? I figure having this would be obvious, even if it was just thrown on the quests menu.
Double tapping to dodge on the analog is very hard to do I find. Would be nice if a single quick movement left or right would trigger it.
When moving the analog just a little left or right the character moves really slow, but her animation is running. Feels like the animation could be slowed down to match.
Maybe enemies could get up a little quicker? Or have less invincibility time when they’re down?
Also the recovery time after dodging is just a little too slow, making it feel clunky.
I would love it if the character could dash somehow. The movement speed makes exploring feel a bit tedious.
Your hat and mask change in 3D sections, but the clothes are always the same?
The character seems to fall out of the bottom of those water orbs a little too quickly, considering it’s water.
Some sort of notification to let me know when there are new items to craft/forge. Checking those characters every day for new stuff is pretty repetitive as their dialog rarely changes.
Probably sounds like nitpicking, but I really like the game and find it very addictive. These little things do hold it back a bit however.
I tried this demo with pretty low expectations, and was really surprised! The game looks nice, runs really well, combat feels good, and it seems to have an interesting story. I'm not sure how it holds up to the original as I haven't played it in ages, but I have to say I'm almost sold on it. (Oh and the loading before and after battles is a little long, but it's not too bad since you've got some decent music to listen to while waiting.)
I'd actually enjoy it if they gave Fi more casual lines of dialog. Stuff that isn't "tutorial" related, but just maybe have her comment on things in the world occasionally without slowing you down. I liked her as a character, but wished was around a little more outside of the constant reminders.
Breath of the Wild looked pretty rough when we first saw it as well, but then didn't Monolith Soft get involved? Maybe they'll be able to help with this game as well.
The art and animation in this look fantastic! I've been listening to the 2064 ROM soundtrack quite a bit since I played it. Maybe I'll give this one a try when it comes out.
Me and my girlfriend noticed that the current seasonal item is different in each of our games. She has a cool doll display, and I have a little pink lamp, so make sure to check with friends in case there are others to get.
I'm starting to slow down, and there are a few things I really wish they'd add or change. Might as well list em off...
1. Gyroids! Where are they? I didn't love them, but they felt like an important part of the Animal Crossing theme.
2. Coffee Shop! Another thing I didn't use much, but it really felt important. I loved going in at night and hearing the music. If they add it I hope they do a separate building instead of having it in the museum.
3. Another upgrade to Nooks. I feel like every previous game had more upgrades to Nook's store.
4. Additional stores/buildings. Even a few more optional ones would be nice, like having a permanent location for Kicks, Haircuts, Plants, Dreams, the Police Station, a spot for KK to play, etc...
5. More dialogue, especially when a villager is crafting, would be nice. The repetitive dialogues kinda detract from the personality that villagers are supposed to have. This could also be fixed by maybe having villagers craft in their houses less frequently. Knowing one villager is always crafting kinda makes them feel like robots.
6. Make seasonal recipes appear in more than just balloons. Having to grind balloons to get seasonal stuff really feels bad to me.
7. GROUP DECORATING! I'm not sure how they'd manage it, but being able to decorate and terraform outdoors with multiple players would put this game in another league entirely.
8. Observatory! I liked being able to interact with the night sky, creating constellations in Wild World. It would be neat if this appeared as a new room in the museum.
9. Rentable museum rooms. These were pretty cool in New Leaf as a way to decorate with weird seasonal items without having to use a room in your house. I'd love to see these come back.
10. Oh yeah, Mr. Resetti! I miss him.
It's totally fair for them to do this, but I really love listening to the soundtracks for Nintendo games so it would be nice if there was an official alternative to YouTube playlists.
Lately mine has been Heroes of the Storm. I don't even care if I win or lose any more, I just play cause it gets my mind focused on something.
I also like to replay Skyward Sword every couple years. Just finished my fourth play through. I think it has taught me to look past the bad and find the good in things.
