Re: CIRCLE Entertainment Is Bringing European Conqueror X To Switch This Year

I hope companies like Slitherine & Paradox will consider to release some nice 4x titles on Switch. Also Civ6, Total War, Anno & other AAA strategies are welcome too. Out of all current consoles Switch is best suited for RTS/TBS, with its touch controls while portable & pseudo-wiimote in a stationary mode. C'mon strategy devs give NSW some love.

Re: Real-Time Strategy Space Game Element Is Flying Onto Switch This Week

Looks to simplistic for my taste, I want RTS for people who have time to play, like Total War series. Of course it's not so good on Switch as it would be on Wii U which always offers touch controls, but a portable mode is what nicely fits for a strategic gameplay IMO. Also welcome any decent 4X e.g. Civilization or Europa Universalis.

Re: Review: Nihilumbra (Switch eShop)

It's a fair score for all those inexhaustible ports from Wii U which already were here for 5+ years & still available at cheaper prices, especially on a flea market. Can't wait this flow to end so I can get truly new titles like Mario Kart 9 or next DK.

Re: Reaction: What are Your Thoughts on Nintendo Switch Online?

I'm looking forward for a homebrew, it'll offer same or better features:

  • RetroArch for VC not limited by 20 games and / or one platform.
  • Dolphin for GC titles.
  • Savegame manager to backup & restore on-premise.
  • Some other homebrews & even boot to Linux where you'll have all its apps, like a browser or video player.
  • In an observable future make backups of your physical titles & run them out of mSD.
  • Also a piracy if you don't mind it & looking for discounts up to 100%

The only missing point is online, but behind a paywall it's looking not so great, i think i easily can live without Splatoon 2 & i can't care less for any other online title on Switch up to date.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Details Of Nintendo Switch Online

Despite of a price i still not justified this subscription for myself, the only online game on Switch to date i care of is Splatoon 2 while all other bells & whistles aren't so compelling to me. I'll buy for a first year but as soon as splatfests will over it's seems too useless for me.

Re: PlatinumGames Wants The Wonderful 101 On Switch

@nhSnork
IIRC virtual console always been a place for cheap old titles released before on old consoles for those nostalgia driven gamers. I even bought Earthbound Beginnings on Wii U as it was a first time's official translation. But it wasn't 60 USD DKCR for sure, more likely few bucks & couple golden coins for a discount.

Re: PlatinumGames Wants The Wonderful 101 On Switch

@nhSnork
My point is developers have to stop milking gamers. If it's not a decent remake with new features and / or graphics - GTFO. Some great titles which I bought instantly are Metroid: Samus Returns & Wind Waker HD, those surely deserves a double dip. But if I want to play an old title I use an original console or even an emulator, not buy an overpriced lazy port. I personally use new consoles for a new experience. So I gladly purchase & play Wonderful 102, Bayonetta 3, Mario Kart 9, Smash 5 etc. on my Switch but not a previously available titles with no or little changes to them.

Re: PlatinumGames Wants The Wonderful 101 On Switch

I won't support it, Switch must get new titles not ports of a platform which is still in shops. Yes, not everyone bought Wii U & want to, but same can be told about GameCube, N64 & many other consoles. Especially silly to port titles which use a Wii U's asymmetric gameplay feature or strongly depend on a touch input.

Re: Sega Announces AGES For Nintendo Switch, Mega Drive Mini Console

Sad to see that Shenmue 1&2 HD isn't coming to Switch as well as the 3rd entry, maybe it's due to failed sales of Yakuza 1&2 HD on Wii U in Japan but I think at least the 1&2 title is best suited to a portable platform due to it's grindy nature. Would love to see Yakuza series on Switch too.
