Annual reminder that "Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball" was 100% completed for the GameCube in 2005 and cancelled last minute. There exists an alternate reality where Nintendo became the developer of the annual MLB game instead of Sony.
With 100% defined as "Caught Arceus and all of the bonus save file legends like Manaphy snd Darkrai", I have 100% the game. If 100% means "level 10 research tasks and all sidequests cleared", "Max inventory size", or even "ALL research tasks completed", then I have not.
For that price it should be able to freeze my enemies in place, conjure up ice blocks in puddles of water, lift anything metal at a distance, and grant me infinite bombs. Or at least be able to run Breath of the Wild.
Cute. Ogerpon was four differently colored Incineroar on the Island stage. Teerapagos is three Squirtle, with the second and third being larger, metal, then gold, like its three forms. The box legendaries have an electrified floor like the purple one's ability, and the starters each had a suitable replacement too. Was a cute set. I still miss Event matches.
Can I beat a dead horse and say it would be nice if TPHD came to Switch so people can use Wolf Link? (I'd skip it, being a Wii U owner, but it would be a suitable late-lifespand Switch title).
5GB? Does that include all prior updates too? That's gigantic (and further demonstrates that even the 64GB OLED model is too small if a game WITH A GAME CARD needs updates of this size).
This is a very fun, well done interview. Reminds me of a shorter Iwata Asks or an old Nintendo Power fluff piece. Well done @ZionDood and whoever else was involved with the interview.
@kurtasbestos
The prior sets are generally added to the permanent pool in the next game update. I would expect that when Sora amiibo support is added in February that these Spirits will be officially added to not require a special event.
@umegames There was an Tourney scene for about one year, look up the official custom moves project. I keep my Wii U fully configured per those guidelines, with a few personal adjustments.
I'm in the camp of "I really want this to sell well if it means we have a chance at a new Kyle Hyde/Another Code game", but I have Trace Memory and Another Code R already. I visited London a few years ago and bought a copy there to bring back and play.
@dartmonkey Can we get 3DS and Wii U 'Best of 2023' lists too? Even as just a silly article, the likes of Silver Falls and Fragrant Story (especially since last week's update) deserve a final spotlight.
Retro-style platformer. You'll die a lot, but the deaths are always funny and punctuated by a voice yellonf 'Bummer'. Bosses are meh, but the game is worth it.
@NielsNL @FantasiaWHT You just open the eShop and download the update. All updates remain available, whether for download-only or physical games. So, you can still buy a day-1 print of Mario Kart 7 and download the latest patch for online play. @Ogre84 The 'new' physical print is no different from the first one, only the 1.0 barebones version is on the game card. You need yo download the update from the eShop just the same. The game cards for sale today are not new, but already existed but could not be sold due to some manufacturer error.
@arekdougy
This update effectively changes it from a demo to an actual game.
The developer was up against release deadlines with the eShop and physical production ending, got this out, and promised a real, complete game later, and now it is here.
@Deviant-Dork
I can't tell: https://store.squire-games.com
There are standard and collector's editions available. The latter does have an air freshener.
@Joeynator3000 @LXP8
That's a shame. Games like Human Resource Machine and TIS-100 make you feel like an absolute genius when you solve some of the puzzles. You learn a lot about programming fundamentals too.
Woah, Evil Ryu was January 2022. Two full years later we get more spirits. Amazing. Especially interesting since the Sora amiibo (and presumably, the update adding support for the figure) is mid-February, so this is happening first. All I'm expecting is the Spirits, of course, but a new balance patch would be welcome, as would adding more songs (God-Shattering Star, any character tracks from F-Zero GX, etc.).
@sd7232 Unless SMB Wonder turns out to have a homebrew entry point, no. Historically, Nintendo only ever blocked a few games from starting if they weren't on the latest version, like SmileBASIC on 3DS.

Did you really type dean instead of clean because they look so similar?
Re: Soapbox: As Splatoon's Online Wraps Up Nearly 9 Years On, How Does It Compare To Splatoon 3?
Splatoon 1's controls feel far better than 2&3, and the map on the GamePad makes it the best experience in the series.

It still is weird that Link and Zelda never got amiibo for their Ultimate redesigns.

Re: Talking Point: Pokémon Presents Predictions - What Are You Expecting?
I wish there were two polls:
"What do you expect"
and
"What do you want".
I expect nothing.
But I would enjoy a new Legends game.

It should function as a button-free Wii U GamePad.

True, but F-Zero GX is 21 years old this year.
Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate's Final amiibo Seemingly Spotted In The Wild
@dazzleshell
Yeah, it went from 3DS & Wii U, to 3DS, Switch and Wii U, to I think just 3DS and Switch, and now nothing. Interesting.

They're just a pair of Tiger Electronics-style games because the developer wanted to try it.

I'd only call it 'Free' if the epilogue is available to players without the expansion pass.
As it stands, that is not the case.
