Re: Talking Point: What Game Do You Replay Every Year?

nukatha

The only game I replay in an annual ritual is 1080 Avalanche. I play it when I really wish I could be skiing, but can't. It is an incredibly comfy game, great music, snow effects that hold up today, great surround sound, and always a good time.
As a bonus, doing all the standard races takes barely an hour.

Re: Video: Nintendo Switch Sports' New Golf Update Is Exactly What You'd Expect

Wait, Wii Sports Club has 27 holes (9 each in 'Classic', 'Resort', and 'Lakeside') but Switch Sports only has 18, completely skipping the 'Lakeside' courses, and it took Nintendo 6+ months to release this update?
EDIT:
Wait, it does have the Resort 'Special' stages, so that makes 21 total?
EDIT 2:
The update trailer specifically says 21 holes, so that's it, the 9 from NES Golf/Wii Sports, 9 from resort, and 3 from resort Special, completely skipping the Wii U's 9 Lakeside courses (amusingly, the only 9 courses originally designed for an HD system).

"While the Deluxe version on Switch would include all the DLC, add the missing Battle Mode"
Did you know that you can use homebrew to bring the proper Battle maps to Wii U, and they work flawlessly?

@KayFiOS
It is a Warriors game at its core. That said, it has more in common with Three Houses than, for instance, Age of Calamity has with BoTW.
You can choose class (moveset) for each character, assign special abilities, equip particular weapons and combat arts, and direct CPU-controlled units across the stage.
The best thing to do is just play the free demo. Choose your favorite house and give it a whirl.

Re: Poll: What's The Best Piece Of Music In A Nintendo Game?

Seashore War, Pollyanna (I Believe in You) vocal version, the Super Mario Galaxy End Credits, Grandma's Theme (Wind Waker), Calamari Inkantation, Fire Emblem: Opera of Light, Star Fox Zero/Assault's Star Wolf theme, Reincarnation, and Ending and Credits (Link to the Past) deserve high placings as well.

Re: Star Fox 2 Made Its Debut On The SNES Classic Console Five Years Ago

I'm sure there is a market for physical copies of these games that were translated for the original console, but have only been released digitally on VC.
Star Fox 2, Fire Emblem 1, and Earthbound Beginnings stand out as titles that people would certainly buy if made available.
Then, of course, reprints of Earthbound, Fire Emblem for GC/Wii, Cubivore, and others would be nice too.
Yes, I can play some of them on VC, but the Mother series ought to be available on original hardware.
