"While the Deluxe version on Switch would include all the DLC, add the missing Battle Mode"
Did you know that you can use homebrew to bring the proper Battle maps to Wii U, and they work flawlessly?

Re: Deals: My Nintendo Store US Releases Preview Of Black Friday Offers, With Switch Bundles, Games And More (US)

@KayFiOS
It is a Warriors game at its core. That said, it has more in common with Three Houses than, for instance, Age of Calamity has with BoTW.
You can choose class (moveset) for each character, assign special abilities, equip particular weapons and combat arts, and direct CPU-controlled units across the stage.
The best thing to do is just play the free demo. Choose your favorite house and give it a whirl.

Seashore War, Pollyanna (I Believe in You) vocal version, the Super Mario Galaxy End Credits, Grandma's Theme (Wind Waker), Calamari Inkantation, Fire Emblem: Opera of Light, Star Fox Zero/Assault's Star Wolf theme, Reincarnation, and Ending and Credits (Link to the Past) deserve high placings as well.

Re: Star Fox 2 Made Its Debut On The SNES Classic Console Five Years Ago

I'm sure there is a market for physical copies of these games that were translated for the original console, but have only been released digitally on VC.
Star Fox 2, Fire Emblem 1, and Earthbound Beginnings stand out as titles that people would certainly buy if made available.
Then, of course, reprints of Earthbound, Fire Emblem for GC/Wii, Cubivore, and others would be nice too.
Yes, I can play some of them on VC, but the Mother series ought to be available on original hardware.

I just want official NTSC printings of Earthbound Beginnings and Fire Emblem for the NES, and Star Fox 2 on SNES, Doshin the Giant on GCN, and the Cing sequels for DS & Wii.
Also, Nintendo is missing out on money by not reprinting big ticket items like Earthbound, Cubivore, Fire Emblem for GC & Wii, and numerous Pkmn games. Limited Run has proved with numerous games that there is a market for open pre-orders for new printings on old hardware.

Re: Talking Point: How Were You Introduced To Metroid?

nukatha

My first home console was a Gamecube, specifically the Platinum Gamecube bundled with Metroid Prime and the Metroid Prime 2 bonus disk.
It did not come with a memory card, and the Memory Card 59 that came with Animal Crossing did not have enough room to store even Prime's 2 block save file, so I played through the Frigate Orpheon sequence quite a few times before I was finally gifted a 1019 card alongside Melee. Even then, it took a lot of slow progress over the next few years before I finally beat it.

Re: Video: Hunting For Video Games In Europe Highlights Key Regional Differences

@AlienX
Another nice thing for EU games is they are frequently multi-language.
Like Zion, I picked up Another Code R on a visit to Europe a few years back, but mine is certainly the German version.
Pop it into the Wii U, homebrew around the region lock, and boom, it is in English.
The most interesting one like that is Art Academy Atelier.
I also have a German (based on the cover) physical copy of that Wii U game. When I use homebrew to bypass the region check, not only does it not load in German, the title screen actually says 'Art Academy Home Studio', (rather than Art Academy Atelier' as it appears when played on a UK Wii U) meaning that the full US localized version is on the disk!
