Just best DK and feel like it’s up there in my favorite Nintendo games ever list. It’s been 3 months and we have that, MKW a tad disappointing but it’s still a good game, plus all the expansions and improvements on SW1 games and GameCube library just on the internal front. I’d say it’s off to a great start. I don’t understand how anyone can honestly be complaining lol. Switch 1s two biggest games in the first year(s) were also on Wii U. Don’t forget;)

I feel like yall send out these polls way too quickly! Especially for someone like me who takes their time with games. No way I’ve beaten DK yet;) let alone started my Kirby reboot!

@Ryu_Niiyama totally agree about HD-2D being overdone— same thoughts on pixel art fatigue,, there are so many games being made all the time. Surely we have room for HD-2D alongside all the rest.

I just hope they give it the proper promotion and attention it deserves! (And that they make sure it launches in perfect shape;)

@swoose right? I mean a live concert is a bit different but an easy comparison is a movie in theaters. Those are $18+ these days. So for me, $20 is not at all a steep ask for 4 hrs.
Personally stoked to dive back into the forgotten lands!

Ok I’m fully on the air ride — as Mr Sakurai pointed out,, there is so much love and detail put into the game right down to the different ways the non Kirb characters copy abilities. As he hinted, there’s going to be more content revealed. It looks graphically stunning too. Def more of a niche title but between this, Pokémon, Metroid and Hyrule Warriors — we’ve got a pretty stacked fall/holiday. Wish people would stop complaining lol this is way stronger than PS5 and X Series launch. And I’d argue stronger than switch 1 considering MK8 was a port and BOTW was a dual platform release

SOR4 is one of my favorite games of the “last gen” really hoping this comes close to it!

Dam Sakurai is the best. The whole presentation was so good. Love how he kept unleashing more info with his classic approach and humor. The regular race courses looked visually stunning —! Seems there’ll be plenty of content with more to be announced. This went from me semi looking forward to it, to a must have/great holiday game!!

Now here’s hoping they give Prime 4 the promo love it deserves

Yessss this DLC seems so worth it. Bummer that ppl seem to be sleeping on this as a substantial enough re(release). It’s wild hearing ppl complain about lack of games for the switch 2 when first party alone we’ve had MKW in June, DK and Jamboree in July, DragxDrive and Kirby in Aug….

This is great. I’m actually happy it’s not a general. We know what we’re getting from the big N this year. Just need some release dates and a Prime 4 title direct would great. That game needs some marketing love!!!!

Big camera enthusiast over here— just for game chat and Mario kart it’s been great connecting with my friends so I’m looking forward to using it in Party! I got it but have yet to play. Still focused on DK and need to set up a proper game night w buds. I’m disappointed of how they separated the versions and wish they kept the unlocks and stats and such in Jamboree but despite that I’m stoked. I think the mouse games will be great fun. I’ve enjoyed the demos that use it in welcome tour so can imagine it’ll be a good time!

Just got it but haven’t played yet. Welcome new use for the camera and the mouse control mini games look great. I am bummed about the whole separation between the versions… really should be called Nintendo Switch 1 Edition plus Jamboree TV

In regards to the camera,, I feel like people really are sleeping on it. I got me and my brother one, and when we played MKW with 2 other friends online they were so stoked about the camera that they went out and got one. It really is great for connecting with your buds in other places. Sad it’s getting so much hate.

@datamonkey it is mostly basic but after playing welcome tour (I know, 2 hits against me now haha) you learn about some of the tech that went into it to keep players in focus, reducing blur, and analyzing human abilities, etc.)

I’ve been loving using the camera with my friends and brother. They were all skeptics at first then quickly changed their tune once we used it in MKW

Too early to fully say— I have about 117 bananas—but at this point it’s a 10/10 for me and I haven’t touched DK artist yet!

Tho I have not nearly been able to play as much as I’d like of any of my games, I totalllly agree. I don’t understand those saying there isn’t enough to play. It’s been a month yall. Chill!

Not sure why everyone’s in a rush for all cube games to be released,, we have plenty of time folks, the system just came out! A drip feed should be welcomed so each game has some time to shine and be appreciated.

Definitely feel it lacking — agree with the ideas for making it more compelling — better unlocks, better incentive, more understandable sense of progression, etc. but despite all that it’s really grown on me and I’ve been enjoying it a ton. There really is a lot to do and it’s real fun to explore.
I also see the reason they don’t have progression tracking- it feels intentional, meant to be done at a leisure pace. Not about completion, about enjoying the cruise.

@Antray1984 good point I feel similar tho like I said I did decide to support cyberpunk. I think I’m finally just gonna have to accept this is the new way soon. Curious if your 1984 is your birth year, if so were the same age ha!

I almost took the hint and went all digital this gen, then at the last moment said , nope! I’m buying Cyberpunk physical. Want to support publishers doing the right thing while I still can. (And the game came with a nice lil sticker pack inside which I really appreciated— just a lil something extra like that goes a long way these days)

Other than that I got MKW bundle, Suikoden and Cyberpunk on physical (had to support cd project red for putting it in the cart and they surprised me w a lil sticker pack— wish all companies included lil packets or something of the sort)! I’m an exclusive switch player so to be able to play something “next gen” like this is a game changer. Loving it so far

@Kyloctopus great point. Most would undervalue it and not even give it a whirl I bet. I have friends who’ve already said so if it was packed in.

For me, it seems worth $10 from what I’ve seen and heard. We gotta remember too that switch sports was the only pack in game on any Nintendo console and that was only in the US bc Reggie Smash.

Agree it should be a pack in. But also, at $10 I’m willing to give it a whirl. If it was $20+ I’d feel differently. It seems like a fun way to get familiar with the system. Nintendo has been and always will be about milking the consumer. It sucks but there’s not much to do about it except boycott. $60 for Luigi’s Mansion 2 and DK lackluster ports anyone….

I didn’t watch it yet, but the camera requirement makes sense,, it’s showing how all the features of the system work. If it didn’t have the camera, it’d be missing something that a lot of people will use and are excited for. I don’t have surround sound of 4k tv so I won’t be able to experience those bits but maybe one day I’ll upgrade my set up.

Taking the day off— going right to GameStop! No midnight release for me since it’s a mall location which I actually prefer so I can be wide awake for the first boot up, and just play all day! I’m also actually stoked for the camera so I can feel connected with my buds across the country (which I noticed was omitted from the accessories list!) can’t wait to play Mario kart and either cyberpunk or Suikoden…

As a middle aged man, I’m admittedly bummed to see so many aren’t interested in the feature. I guess I mainly just see the appeal in playing with my friends since I live so far away now,,, talking to strangers not as alluring. Hmph I hope enough people jump on board that I can put my camera to use !

Probably not much difference between versions! But kinda glad I waited I guess!? Price not bad— feels like this is cheaper than the 1 version tho that can’t be right…

I’m feeling more and more compelled to join the dark side (digital) as much as it pains me! Tho I know it’s not all bad,, I’m sad to admit physical game collecting is coming to an end.

Streets of Rage 4 is one of my favorite games of this/last generation. Big fan of the originals but this one blew my expectations out of the water! So stoked Lizardcube is taking this one on as well. Best news.

Awesome ! I missed the frozen tour last year. Good excuse to get back into it. Love that they keep supporting this game.
